Good evening, Crew!!! All this talk of free dining has me so jealous!!! Congrats on the booked trip lyzziesmom!! I noticed where WDW is having the P&P Party again in Aug/Sept. Hopefully you won't be so rushed this time!!!

Yolanda:: Happy to hear you made it home safely! I'm sure the drive was very scenic. 3 hours at the Cleveland airport sounds like a looong time to layover!!! yikes!!!

pozey and dznyfan:: The BBQ sounds delicious, but so was our ham!!!! j/k I would love some of your left-overs for dinner tomorrow night!!!:woohoo:

Welcome to mirthmaiden and mmcguire!!! Join us anytime!!!

Nicole:: Sorry to hear you trunk is leaking!!! Darn for not getting a trip in before your other trip. Jeepers!!!

Lesa:: Wow!!!What a phone call from the collection agency!!! They aren't a bit impatient are they?? At least you get to save $100!!!

YourMajesty:: :worship: Your cupcakes sound delicious, Cupcake!!!

Well, it's back to school for Nathan tomorrow. It seems like he had a long vacation!! He hasn't been to school since March 30th!!:teacher:
Better call it a night before I turn into a pumpkin or book myself a WDW trip or something.:rolleyes1

It's my policy not to be in any cliques since middle school left such a bad taste in my mouth :lmao: And nobody ever laughs at my jokes either :sad1:

Sounds like you are very independent.
I used to be in 'cliques' when I was in school from Jr. High through college. I was a "sport" they called us 'Jocks' back then. I enjoyed sports much more than actually going to class and was a three sport letter winner, two of which I was awarded the MVP. In collage I was on the all North Eastern team for one sport. But since then I have not been involved in sports. My kids didn't really like them (God knows I tried to get them involved). Well any way that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

This is the first clique I've joined in over 24 years.:cool1:

Is this really a "clique'? I'm always talking to myself...:rotfl2:

Good morning, Crew!! I think wemay be in for a little warm-up in my area!!! It's already almost 40 degrees outside!!:yay: How about some chocolate raspberry muffins this morning? I'm fixing some coffee, too!!

I hope everyone has a Terrific Tuesday!!!

Good Morning All!

Ashley, I have no idea if it is better to work with a TA or not. I had a bad experience with my AAA agent, so now I book myself.

I am hoping to book on Thursday too. Mike thinks he wants to go 09/22-09/29, so I need to start figuring out where to eat. I've never been in Sept/Oct so I am a little nervous about the heat (June was horrible). I think we may do POP (if available :wizard: ).

Good morning, kids!

Donna those muffins look fabulous! You know you're welcome to come by for the leftover BBQ any time you want! You deserve it with all the breakfasts you make us here!

Look at all you guys making your September plans! yay for you all!

Amber and Ashley, it probably depends on which TA you're using.... it stinks that you had a bad experience - Amber, I remember your troubles. :sad2:

Pozey - much luck to the kids for their first game of the season! :cheer2:

Welcome, Underdog and mmcguire and mirthmaiden! :welcome:

Lesa - collection agency already?? Good for getting the $100 knocked off, but still - that's a bit pushy I think.

Lyzziesmom - it looks like you're going to have a handful on your September trip. If you wind up with all those folks are they going to be self-sufficient, or are you going to wind up playing tour guide all week?

later, all!

good morning everyone!

I woke up to thunderstorms around 4:30 this morning. I like to hear the rain hit the window.

Welcome underdog, mmcguire, & mirthmaiden!

:cool1: Woohoo for everyone who is going to take advantage of free dining! I loved our trip we took in September. I though the weather was perfect!

Well, I'm slowly surrounding myself with packed boxes. Good Lord do we have a lot of stuff for just the 3 of us! This is a great opportunity to purge! My piles of trash on trash day are getting bigger and bigger.:scared1:

Well, I'd better get kiddo off to school and I need to go back to packing:eek: Have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!

Thanks for breakfast Donna!

Welcome newbies!

Ashley & Amber- I would book it myself, I woke up at 6 last year to call, got frustrated waiting and hung up, then called an hour later and got right through. I don't know if it will be like that on Thursday though.

Thanks Donna...those look like Cupcakes!;) Speaking of cupcakes....did you ever finish #2. You gotta at least make it to Four.

Amber, I'lve been in Sept a couple of times and it's pretty brutal. I would go expecting it to be very hot and humid and just maybe they will have a little weather snap. :)

DznyFan...no patience...HUNH! My kids are the same way(well as a matter of fact they get it from me;) ). I really hope she doesn't have a tear.:sad2: Are you seeing the same ortho as last time? If I remember correctly we were talking about ortho's for kids being few and far between around Tulsa. Good luck.:flower3:

Well..I have laundry and shopping today.:yay: Better get to work.:laundy:

Yeah, I've been there too. First I said "no way" because we're going in early Aug for 9 days. Then I started playing with it in the back of my mind. Now I'm booked for a second trip a month after we get back from the first and I know it's totally reckless and irresponsible and I JUST DON'T CARE!

It isn't my fault. It's a syndrome.

Hey I have that syndrome too!

Ashley: I would think it would be easier to just call Disney yourself to make reservations, that way you are in control of your own vacation. I've never worked with a TA, do you have to pay them on top of your trip cost? I guess being that I've done WDW before, I just don't see the advantage of using a TA, but I can see how they'd be helpful for someone who's never been. It can be quite overwhelming! Jeremiah's limit is 7 days? That's crazy!! My dad said the same thing, but it was because he didn't want to take more than 5 days off of work. Once I showed him the calendar he was on board with 10 days because we will leave for WDW on a Friday after work, stay through the weekend, then Labor Day is a holiday so we are only missing 4 days of work, then the following Sunday we come home. That's exactly what we did last year and it was perfect -- low crowds, free food, plenty of time to relax and lots of FUN!

Michele...I didn't didn't bake the Easter cake(googled). I made some pretty yellow cupcakes.

We made pink cupcakes last week and I brought the extras in to work. No way could we eat 24 cupcakes!! (Well we COULD, but then I'd need a new wardrobe.)

Better call it a night before I turn into a pumpkin or book myself a WDW trip or something.:rolleyes1

Or something... you are too funny! Darn those late night WDW reservations!

Is this really a "clique'? I'm always talking to myself...:rotfl2:

Don't worry, we all talk to ourselves here. (said in my best Cheshire Cat voice)

I've never been in Sept/Oct so I am a little nervous about the heat (June was horrible). I think we may do POP (if available :wizard: ).

It does get hot in September, and it is still very humid. Nothing like June or July though! It should be better since you're planning on the end of the month. Early September last year just about killed me with the humidity, but then again I've never done well in the humidity, even when I lived there.

Lyzziesmom - it looks like you're going to have a handful on your September trip. If you wind up with all those folks are they going to be self-sufficient, or are you going to wind up playing tour guide all week?

I have no idea how it's going to go. I know I get to play TA and make all the ADRs and do all the planning. I don't expect my brother & his GF to show up on time for anything, because they never do. I have a feeling we will be doing a lot of things separate from each other, but we'll just have to see how it goes. My folks want to kind of take it easy, but that's not really my style, so I figure I will do minimal planning -- just ADR's and plan on which park/which day, and take it from there. I know I will be in the parks, as long as everyone shows up for meals I'm ok with splitting up the rest of the time. I must admit though, I'm pretty nervous about this turning into such an "event!"

Everyone going on the 2008 Cliqueless Convention-

I stopped in and posted my 2 cents!

Did anyone watch "Thank God You're Here" last night? I caught the 2nd episode and it was pretty funny! I am a sucker for cheesy television, plus I like that it's something else the whole family can watch. If you haven't heard of it, you should try to see it, it's hard to explain. They have a few "celebrities" and each of them gets a costume and then opens a door on a live stage, and must walk in and act in a scene. The trick is, they have NO IDEA what the scene is going to be so they have to improv their way through it, and it was pretty hilarious at times. Highly recommended for good silly fun! I just kept thinking, "Man there is no way I could be that clever."

Well, I've got some work to do and some ADRs to plan! I think I might call and see if I can switch resorts for our trip next month. We are at ASMu for both the May and the Sept. trip, and I'm not sure I want to do the same resort twice in a row. We did that last year at Pop and it almost felt like it was the same trip all over again. I think I will see if we can switch to ASMo for next month - we stayed there a couple years ago and it was really fun. I'm thinking it might be booked up though, since the ASMu pool is closed I imagine a lot of people are switching.

11 years ago I was scared, confused, and excited.......

I was about to become a dad........

Happy Birthday Colton!!!

This is the first clique I've joined in over 24 years.

Is this really a "clique'? I'm always talking to myself...:rotfl2:
you're not talking to yourself:rotfl2: as you can see...we're quite chatty sometimes. Do you go to wdw much? dcl? how old are your kids? boys/girls? see...we get going and don't know when to shut up:rolleyes1 sorry ;)

Good luck :) Mike agreed to go but then I read how crowded it is at that time and that totally changed my mind. I know...check my temp. when you see me. Turning down a wdw trip!!!:sad2: I don't like heat and/or crowds! too many RUDE people:rolleyes: I'll just wait and go when it's very light crowds;)

Well we're off the the orthopedist first thing tomorrow morning. Her pediatrician got her referred immediately. Still hoping it's nothing more than a sprain but she was up on it (on crutches) for school yesterday and she said nothing was helping the pain. I keep reminding her it'll take time to heal - she's impatient, and not a very good invalid.

later, all!
Good luck!! Nothing wrong w/teaching her to be independant ;)!

Well, I'm slowly surrounding myself with packed boxes. Good Lord do we have a lot of stuff for just the 3 of us! This is a great opportunity to purge! My piles of trash on trash day are getting bigger and bigger.:scared1:

:rotfl: I know that feeling. Mike was ready to shoot me when Kenny and I moved in w/him:rotfl2: TOO much stuff!! Good luck packing :)

Happy Birthday Colton!! That picture is fantastic - I never would have thought of taking one from that angle. Love it! 11 is a fun age... I think my birthday gift when I turned 11 was horseback riding lessons.
