Hi Crew! I'm pretty busy today but I just had to share: I just called my Mom to tell her about Free Dining, and she said "Why don't you plan it out, we will discuss dates tonight and you can book it on my Disney Visa tonight?"

YAY!!

I am SO envious of you and all your trips this year!! Adopt me.

It will be next year before we go again. And we ARE going next year. But that's still.....NEXT YEAR.

We have been discussing whether to go in May or possibly in December. Still don't know yet.

I spent 3 hours in Cleveland airport

I am so sorry!!! I've never been to Cleveland airport but its only about an hour from my house. it was snowing like crazy. Cleveland got like 26" !!!!!!:

I made enough for the whole cliqueless crew, but nobody showed.

So, no Easter services for us -

I talked to her at 9:00 after the bus fire, she sounded near tears (and she NEVER cries). She said "I just wanna come home...."

Linda - I was ready to get in my car and drive up to the CO/KS border and get her. I even asked her - Do you want us to come get you???

So, going to try to get things back to normal this week - for the first time in a month no one is visiting, and no one is going out of town. DH said "we're going to the lake this weekend" - knock yourself out, buddy - not me. I'm staying HOME and doing NOTHING.

I know..us too.. Its the first Easter we didn't go to church in years too But that was b/c Mike can't stand to sit very long at all w/his back. I don't know what else to do. they don't want to do surgery b/c he is able to manage his pain w/the meds Poor Erin!!! I hope her knee is better soon. I'd want to stay home too... "knock yourself out buddy" that is what I'd tell Mike too!

The basement is pretty much done. Now we are waiting for the furniture to be delivered on Thursday. Lilly's crib was finally put up last night and she got to sleep in it. Bree says she only woke up once for about 30 minutes.

Today we start on Lilly's room. I have to spackle a few spots on the wall and ceiling. Right now the trim is all dark green ( the walls are white) so I have to get some Kilz and prime the trim. We are going with yellow with white trim. Luckily Bree still has school this week so Lilly will be at her dad's during the day. So I can get a lot done while she is gone.

I might be able to go during free dining. I priced it out at Disney.com and for 3 nights with 1 day passes it is $423.00!!! We would only go to 1 park and just relax and resort hop. This would be a budget trip big time, but I can't pass up free dining! I just need to ask Steven. I hope he says yes!

I am so ticked off right now!!! I just received a letter from a collection agency. The old man's insurance sent me to collections without even sending me a bill. I contacted the collection agency and explained that I have talked to the insurance company and told them I was paying out of pocket and they were sending me a statement with where to send a payment. Instead they put it in collections. I asked to speak to a supervisor that hung up on me in mid sentence, when I called back I asked for another supervisor and by then I was not pleasant He said it automatically goes to them when it is an uninsured motorist. I told him I am insured, and they had my insurance info and they even spoke to my insurance co.. He said for my troubles they would knock $100 off the bill and if I get it to them within 7 days it will not go on my record.

O.k. vent over! At least now I only have to pay $320.

Hi everyone!!!

So I see the free dining was really released! Yay Now I'm nervous because I have to wait until the 12th to actually book it I knew I should have applied for that Disney Visa

I want to stay at Pop in a preferred room, I hope they still have rooms available!! (Someone make me feel better about this I always think the worst, I keep reading on boards that some places are already filled!) But I guess as long as they have preferred rooms in any of the All Stars I'll be happy..I don't want to have that long walk! Jeremiah & I decided we are going September 14-21 (I think thats the dates, Friday-Friday) and his pass expires Sept 22, thats cutting it pretty close Oh, I better change my ticker! I guess once I get the ressies I will. I actually called & got the dining places I wanted last night for those dates too (since my ADR's were for the 7-14 before)

Oh man this free dining has got me so excited, it's all I can think about today! I've been on & off the phone with my mom trying to hash out some basic details so I can book it tonight. It looks like we are going to get 2 value rooms rather than trying to squeeze into one mod room. And now they are thinking of inviting my brother & his GF as a graduation gift for him, so it might be 3 rooms! Yikes!! And we will be able to do the P&PP again too, which is great because I felt like it was over so quick last time, and I know Lyzzie would really love it.

Ashley: didn't you say you're going in September? Maybe we will see you there!
ETA - I just saw your post above - we won't see you after all. We are going the week of Labor Day, just like we did last year. I just love WDW in September!

Lesa: That's too bad about the collections bill, but at least you got the price knocked down. I hate dealing with things like that, I tend to put it off and then panic about it.

Nicole: So sorry you can't make it for free dining. The booking window is open until 6/24 so maybe you can work on him a little and get him to change his mind .

Well I've done it... I booked for Free Dining! Three rooms, three reservations, Aug. 31st - Sept. 9th at All-Star Music (our first choice was Movies but it's already full! Lyzzie wanted POP but we've done that twice already, and I have no interest in Sports.) My brother and his GF are coming - should be interesting. I had to request a handicap accessible room for him, since he's having his knee replacement next month we have no idea how mobile he will be by then. My mom thinks we should also mention to Lyzzie's other grandparents that we'll be there ... that would be nice for her but yikes! I'm already thinking it's going to be a logistical nightmare! Mom doesn't care what we plan as long as there's lots of down time, pool time, and early (before 6pm) dinners and a dinner show. I was running around the house right after booking singing, "I'm so excited and I just can't hide it!" Lyzzie thinks I've lost it. It was so funny, the CM that I spoke with was a very chatty guy and he just kept telling me about how to get the most for your money during free dining (bring baggies in case the kids don't finish their chicken fingers, and you have a snack for later!), and that his family lives in Hawaii and comes to WDW for free dining because "you can't get free food in Hawaii you know!"

I'm so happy I think I'm going to burst! (And I think my bank account already did, yikes!!)

Dznyfan, I can't believe the ordeal those kids went through!!! I've had my share of knee injuries (completely torn ACL...in half...right knee, 3/4 tear in left knee, luckily not at the same time) and waiting like that can only make it worse! She had to be in pain too! Good for you for giving them a piece of your mind! Sorry you missed church!

Lyzziesmom, I can't believe they showed "Passion of the Christ" in service without posted notices! That movie is NOT appropriate for children! I sat through it with my head buried in Chris's shoulder I was sobbing so bad! You did the right thing!

We spent the weekend in Floydada (where? ) and yesterday morning my Granny was getting stuff out to make lunch before leaving for church and my Pop said that we should eat at Nielson's (an family favorite with to-die-for Chicken Fried Steak) and we all jumped at that. So after church I had a huge slab of cow with cream gravy and when we got home to my parents house last night we ordered a pizza! It did not feel like Easter for our family either!

Oh, I want to go during free-dining so bad but I don't think its going to work out! Maybe during one of the first weekends, but it would only be for the weekend and I can't justify the airfare for just a weekend!!!!!! Oh well! I'd gain 10 pounds anyway!!!

Me too! I am studying to be a teacher right now and have applied for a job in the fall. But, in the mean time, I'm going on with my life. I'm not getting my hopes up since I don't have my license yet.

Neither do I! I have a bachelors in theatre design and want to teach high school theatre. I'm just starting an alterative certification program and have a few applications in for next school year. Do you guys think I will have a better chance of getting Pop/preferred room through a travel agent or by booking it myself? I know I can get up early Thursday and book it myself- but the disadvantage of that is having to be on hold for a long time. (I'm not sure but I'm thinking Disney will be crazy that morning!) A travel agent could deal with that for me but I doubt she'd be calling right away for me- she could have a list of people she has to get through first. And- I didn't have the best experience last time with this travel agent, and I know the agency will give me this one again because I'm a past customer.

Can you tell that I'm obsessing??


Lyzziesmom- CONGRATS on getting booked! I am jealous!!!! Too bad we won't be going for the same time period though We were planning on going Sept 7-14 but I checked the calendar and its not a good time of the month I want to enjoy my vacation so that time period is out!! I wish we could go for the same amount of time as you- but Jeremiah won't budge! His limit is 7 nights. What is wrong with that man? You would think he would want the free food!!!!
