I am so sick of painting and having my house turned upside down!!!!

We are finished with the basement, just waiting for the furniture to arrive.

Now we have moved on to Lilly's room. Her room is at the back of the house and has an exterior door to the deck...which is why we haven't used it as a bedroom for any of the kids. I think there may have been some water damage at one point on the back wall, we have a problem with paint chipping badly there. So yesterday was spent chipping away all loose paint, and spackling. Plus our ceilings are that horrible cottage cheese and it was loose in a few spots, so Blake chipped that away and had to find stuff to replace the 'cheese'.

Today I have spent taping and putting 3 coats of Kilz over the green trim. The room is trashed and I am done!! I just want this over with!!!

I am jealous of everyone who is going for free dining...We did it last year and loved it! But since we are going in June, there is no way I can convince Blake to go again. Plus Matt will be in the middle of football season.

Hi everyone!!!

DznyFan, I hope Erin is doing ok!!! I've had knee injuries and it is NO fun..and you really DO need to depend on people and get them to help you, atleast I did. I can't believe all the problems she had on that trip!! I would have wanted to have my mom come & get me!!

Lyzziesmom, I would want to change resorts too. Thats how I felt when we went to Disney in September and stayed at French Quarter, and then I stayed there again in Feb.

Amber, those are the dates we went last year to Disney! (the 22nd-29th) It was GREAT, (except the love bugs, see tag! ) it was even cool & breezy some nights. We would go there again this year, same dates but since Jeremiah's pass is expiring the 22nd we aren't going to. We like it this way, buying one every other year, (this year we are buying mine and it will expire next Sept) it helps save money.

Nicole and Linda, I hadn't heard about Larry Birkhead. I'm not surprised, the whole thing is just sad. The only thing that concerns me, is obviously Anna Nicole didn't want Larry around her daughter and we have to wonder why. Of course she wasn't the most logical person, but its just something to think about for me.

Michele, those rooms will be done and beautiful before you know it!
I hate doing reburbishments on houses but its always worth it in the end!



Well I guess I'm going to book the room by myself on Thursday! It would be easier to have a travel agent do it, and they don't charge, but last year I didn't like having to call Disney and have them act like they can't confirm my reservation over the phone. So wish me luck, and I hope everyone booking gets what they want too!!!!

Just had to share:

I ordered some Cayman Crocs from Dick's Sporting Goods. I was going to buy them at the store but they had a really good sale- Crocs for $15.00. I've never owned the Cayman ones, just the Beach ones which I wear a size medium in. I've never even tried on the Cayman's and I ordered a size 9, I normally wear an 8 1/2 in shoes but they don't carry half sizes. Well they came today and they are alittle big. It seems like a hassle to return them, and the store won't exchange them. I'm wearing them now and they dont seem too bad, but I don't know if they will stretch or not.

Poor Blake...tomorrow he gets to go to work and reprimand some guys who work for him. He also has to suspend them, without pay for a week!!

Turns out they were forwarding porn to one another Who knows how long these morons were at it! They would still be doing it, actually they could still be at it. They don't know they have been found out yet!!

Apparently the last idiot sent the email to the wrong person. The guy who got it has never heard of the one who sent it. I guess he clicked on the wrong name in the corporate address book He notified corporate, who started checking into everyone's email. Can you say..OOPS!!!

So this is what Blake gets to handle tomorrow. Not to mention the fact that with these idiots out for a week, he and the rest of his staff get to pick up the slack!!

Neither do I! I have a bachelors in theatre design and want to teach high school theatre. I'm just starting an alterative certification program and have a few applications in for next school year. Right now I work full-time as an assistant for Disney Store but I'm ready for a change...and weekends off!!!

I'm getting my bachelor's degree in 3 weeks Then I get 2 whole days off before I start grad school I'll have my MSEd in 1 year and be licensed to teach then.

I know what you mean about weekends. I've been working weekends for 2.5 years now watching DH get to relax every weekend and Christmas break and spring break and summer break, etc. I can't wait until I finally have a normal life too!

Sounds like you are very independent.
I used to be in 'cliques' when I was in school from Jr. High through college. I was a "sport" they called us 'Jocks' back then. I enjoyed sports much more than actually going to class and was a three sport letter winner, two of which I was awarded the MVP. In collage I was on the all North Eastern team for one sport. But since then I have not been involved in sports. My kids didn't really like them (God knows I tried to get them involved). Well any way that's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

This is the first clique I've joined in over 24 years.

Is this really a "clique'? I'm always talking to myself...

Not only independent, but the word "clique" just has strong negative connotations for me because I had a miserable time all through middle school. The school system I was in was pretty affluent but my family wasn't as well off as many of the others. So I was kind of the "wrong side of the tracks" type of kid trying desperately to keep up with other kids who had the nicest clothes, etc. Now I just don't care, but when you're that age, it's so important to belong.

Anyway, this clique seems nice so far

I also wear 8 1/2 and ordered a size 9 in crocs. They are supposed to be roomy. Your foot is not really supposed to touch the sides. I know it's a weird concept, but if you wear them a while you'll see what I mean. I can't wait to look like a complete dork in my lime green crocs at WDW

Ashley: Good luck booking on Thursday! Just remember to have a second and maybe even third choice resort in mind. Even yesterday on the first day of booking, my first choice was full! Of course, they might hold back some rooms for the general public, who knows? Even the CMs don't seem to know! I wear an 8 1/2 too and my Crocs are a 9, they feel big at first but an 8 would just be too small. I think you made the right choice!

mirthmaiden: You're cracking me up this evening! I don't give a rat's patootie who that baby-daddy is either, as long as she has someone who will take care of her and raise her right. Which, in my opinion, would be none of the involved parties so it's a good thing they didn't ask me! I know what you mean about the middle school experience. I still feel out of the loop sometimes even as an adult, at work and especially among the mom's at DD8's school, but I am much better equipped to deal with it now than I was back then. "Fitting in" is much lower on my priority list than it used to be ... like nearly non-existant.

Oooh I just got a Ding! I hope it's a good one! I don't think SW is booking yet for our Sept dates, but I am in charge of finding the flights for our whole group -- at least all this planning keeps me busy at work!

Ugh, I wish I was doing this through an actual school. But, do to my job I have to do an online certification course and its confusing me! It tells me to take my content area test immediately, only I can't find where to take it...my head is spinning!!!!! Are you going to have to student teach? Or will you just get to move right to a payed position?
