I just had to share, Mike agreed to go in Sept. I made our ADR's and got EVERYTHING I wanted!! We are doing Le Cellier twice (lunch/dinner), 'Ohana, Boma, Mama Melrose, Crystal Palace, and Chefs de France. At first I booked Nine Dragons, but then Mike thought that Chefs would be better. I am so excited!!

Ugh, I wish I was doing this through an actual school. But, do to my job I have to do an online certification course and its confusing me! It tells me to take my content area test immediately, only I can't find where to take it...my head is spinning!!!!! Do you mean Praxis II?

Are you going to have to student teach? Or will you just get to move right to a payed position? My program includes student teaching in the master's year. That will be next spring, unless I do get hired for the fall, in which case they will waive the requirement for student teaching. I am in the Pk-6 program, but I have applied for a SPED job in 8th grade because I've had some experience there, and some courses, and they are desperate for SPED teachers. When I applied in my home county, so far there had been no other applicants for the job. So, we'll see. As I said, I'm not getting my hopes up because they would have to give the job to anybody else who applies that has their full license over me.

I care about dog poo more than I do who the daddy of that baby is. And like Lyzziesmom, I was hoping for none of them! This poor girl would be better off living with a family that adopted her than some media wannabe who will only use her for their own personal gain. Its just depressing.

Agreed. That poor child has already been through hell and I don't forsee it being any easier down the road. She'll be a pawn until the day she's old enough to make her own choices. :sad1:

Amber, thats great news! Where are you staying?

Mirthmaiden, that would be great to get to skip student teaching. My sister teaches high school history and refers to her student teaching as endentured servitude. Hehehe.

My sister-in-law is salivating over this. We saw it in January on a preview.

Its only 110.00...I was sort of surprised by that. For some reason I couldn't get the picture to show up. Oh well.

Amber: that's great news! When are you going? Maybe if we are there at the same time we can have a mini-meet.

Lyzzie is on the phone with her dad right now, it's his birthday and I forgot all about it until yesterday, so she didn't send a card! He and his parents are so happy to hear from her, but she doesn't like talking on the phone much so she doesn't have much to say. I'm sure that'll change in a few years!!

yeah...lyzzie doesn't like talking on the phone...YET:rotfl: we all know that will change!!!

Amber:cool1: :woohoo: that is awesome news!!!

Lin...that passport is making me salivate now:rotfl2: the castle is beautiful! I want the Olzewski one that has the lights on it:cloud9: Mike offered to buy it for me at the MK and I said no...What was I thinking:confused3 oh well...I WILL buy it next time!

mirthmaden....I had to read that a few times...I read "in my home country"... then I was thinking "wonder where that is?" sorry:rotfl: county, country:confused3 sorry...it's past my bedtime:rolleyes1

yes..that poor child:guilty: :sad2:

Amber...now I'm drooling wanting Le Cellier and Ohana!!!!:cloud9: Mike asked me why I didn't book Le Cellier twice too!!! YUMMMM

Speaking of passports...I got mine in the mail yesterday and the picture is terrifying! Seriously! I look like a convict. Chris took one look at it and burst out in laughter.

Well...there was that one time in Austria on the choir trip...

:rotfl2: Lin, you crack me up.

Amber, about getting the ADR's you want!!!! I didn't have any trouble getting mine either. I love Mama Melrose! But Jeremiah didn't like it that much the last time we ate there. We are eating at Nine Dragons, (Jeremiah loves chinese food and he loved it when we ate there on our Sept trip), Le Cellier for lunch, Coral Reef dinner, 'Ohana dinner, Sci Fi lunch, Planet Hollywood dinner, and Boma dinner. I am so excited! Good luck on getting Pop Thurs!!!

Welcome mirthmaiden! Thanks for the advice about the Crocs..I've been wearing them tonight and they are just as comfy as my first pair! They are just a little bigger, I think they will do fine. And you can't beat the price- I got them for $15!! I live in Virginia too, right outside DC.

yeah, for me it was that one time down in Juarez with the chachas, but hey...we won't go there right now
You know, my best friend and I accidentally went to Juarez on a road trip to El Paso to see Les Mis... It was interesting. We somehow got in the wrong lane, the one that forces you to cross the bridge. Then no one would let us over so we could make a U-turn. We had to go in, they searched our car then let us turn around...but it took almost 2 hours to get back into El Paso! True Story.

Now, my Austria story. In high school we went to Austria for choir. We were in Salzburg and they had all these baracades set up in front of the Opera. Well, we wanted to see the Opera house and thought they were traffic barriers, so we went right through them! We were quickly yelled at to cross the street (in German, we had no idea what they were saying) and then 3 big government guys came, escorted us over, searched our bags, demanded our passports, called our passports in to the government and basically terrified us for 20 minutes or so. Turns out the Chinese President was in town and was attending the Opera. We were taken as a security risk! 3 16 year old American girls! Mwah-ha-ha-ha. The best part was we were all so excited at what was going on that we forgot to be scared! Hehehe. Good times, good times!

Good morning to my adventurous group!!!:woohoo: I think I'm heading to the Boardwalk this morning; I'll grab something to eat before I head to Epcot. I'm having the child's breakfast from Spoodles!! Works for me!!!:thumbsup2

omg:eek: what an experience that had to have been!!! We got searched going into Canada when I was a teenager too. They searched the trunk and all our bags. Just a car full of teenagers going up for some fun.

Kenny keeps going on and on about wanting to go learn more about dinosaurs at a museum... we may have to head up this weekend or something if his dad doesn't show up. There looks like a cool one in Pigeon Forge, TN too...I want to take him to the T-rex Cafe in DTD:cool1: I'll have to look and see when it opens ;)

thanks for a wonderful breakfast Donna. I can't see it...but I'm sure its good:laughing:

Happy Birthday eve Lesa and Sherri:cool1:

Happy Belated 11th Birthday to Colton!!!

I hope you enjoyed your special day!!!
Oh he enjoyed it!!

Colton said that yesterday was his BEST DAY EVER. :cool1:

At school, he said that everyone treated him like a KING. :wizard: Everyone came up to tell him Happy Birthday. Then, I took some cupcakes and drinks to his school, so that he could share with his class. He said that when it came time to pass out the goodies to the class, the teacher said Colton could do it and he could choose a helper. He said that EVERYONE raised their hand to volunteer to help him. He chose the girl he has a crush on – Brianna.

Then, we had a swim meet last night. When we arrive, there are 2 girls on the team – both a couple years older than Colton – gave him a hand-made birthday card. He was beside himself with happiness. :yay:

Then, he went out and won all 4 of his individual events. He swam great. And then his relay team won as well. And his relay team was a sight to see. He was bumped up to the 14 – 15 age group for the relay. So was CHASE!!! So, the relay team had this one boy who is 15 and about 6 foot tall. Then another boy who is 13. Then there was Colton. And then Chase – who stands all of 4 foot 3 inches. It was quite a sight.
