So, have I missed anyone posting a trip report or anything? I haven't ventured over to the Trip Reports Board in awhile.

Or has anyone posted any cool stories from the trip? Or have I just passed over them?

I haven't been to the Trip Reports board yet either. I think everyone is still recovering!! I've never done a TR.. .I always plan to, and then it just doesn't happen. I do, however, post a ton of pictures here & there so keep your eyes peeled.

Wow, I just heard that Anna Nicole died today. So sad!:sad2:

I know. I've seen her on TV in interviews since her son passed away and I just feel so badly for her, and for her baby girl. She looked really horrible, I can't say I'm really surprised. I hope her daughter ends up in the right hands.

I feel so bad for Anna Nicole and her baby. It's all over the news here. They're interviewing a former manager of hers right now.

I need some opinions.....

We let Brittany have an IM account a few months ago. We laid down the rules of no IM with people she doesn't know, no personal info, no personal pages....yada yada yada! Well I do check who she is IMing and if it is someone I do not recognize I read the IM. Well while reading one from a screen name I did not recognize (it did turn out to be a school mate) it had her giving the address to her personal page. I checked it out and while it didn't have specific personal info, it did have her hair and eye color as well as her likes and dislikes. It also had a picture of Gracie and a picture of another one of her friends. I was so mad at her for breaking the rules and made her go in and delete everything. She is now grounded until further notice from the computer. I now feel after her breaking the rules she should no longer be able to have an IM account. Am I being reasonable or ridiculous? I am so not looking forward to these teenage years!!!!!!:sad2:

I have heard that it was a possible overdose. She has looked horrible lately, and it has been one thing after another. Incredibly sad! I keep thinking of what will happen to that poor baby.

In my opinion, you aren't over reacting at all...I wasn't in highschool that long ago (I know Brittany isn't that age yet but still) and many many people I knew were meeting up with people they met online and it is NOT good news...It's good to get a handle on this now before she gets to the age of going to the mall with her friends by herself, etc. and having the opportunity to meet different people.

It's a nice thing to have with supervision (IM) but maybe she isn't mature enough for it right now. JMO.

I don't know how it's going to work out when I have kids- because I've seen the bad consequences of it first hand and I'm totally aganist it at the moment!! :confused3

Thank you Ashley! That is very good advice!:thumbsup2 Sometimes I feel like I am an overreacting, overbearing, overprotective, strict parent compared to most of her friends parents.

I wish parenting wasn't so tough! It sure wears me out!!!

I know it may seem like to her that you are being too strict- but its better to be safe than sorry! And in today's world unsupervised chatting when you are that young is too dangerous.

You are doing a good job!! :thumbsup2

Thanks! You will make a great mom!!! I totally agree with you on the better safe than sorry! Too many bad things happen in the world today!

Hi Everyone. April was able to stay until Saturday. They have to move from Old Key West on Thursday to Saratoga for the remainder but who wouldn't move for a few extra days at disney.:confused3
On Saturday we were able to meet a member of the dream squad named Brandon. Unfortunately we didn't receive anything but he did tell us that if we send in a postcard daily, they do mail out prizes. I looked up the information here on the dis and found this address. I thought I would post it in case anyone is interested in giving it a shot.

You need to provide your full name, complete mailing address, daytime phone number, and date of birth on a 3.5x5 postcard.
The address is:
PO Box 8629
Elmhurst, IL 60126
Good luck:wizard:

That is so great for April, looks like the cliqueless crew have some sweet husbands! I've been sending postcards in for that whenever I remember I had a whole stack filled out but so far haven't won anything. But it is funny if you go on the website they will pull a postcard for the Cinderella Castle stay but you can't actually win it unless you are in the park so they award the monetary value which they say is only $536!!:scared1: You know that if they ever start renting it out it would be like $5,000 at least a night, I'm really hoping to win a DVC membership.:goodvibes

Hi everyone!!

I got back in yesterday at about 4:30. I was so exhausted I went to bed early! The trip was fun- I'm glad I got to go. I did end up staying at French Quarter so it was very convienent.

Last night we had a scare because Ruby got in my carry on and ate a whole big piece of fudge I got myself from the Mainstreet Bakery. We called the vet and they said it shouldn't be that big of a deal because it isn't 100% chocolate. We had to give her some hydrogen perioxide to make her throw up, which she didn't do at first but then did a couple hours later and the vet was very happy to hear she got it out of her system! Needless to say, that wasn't a very good welcome home and I'm very relieved she is doing better!

It snowed last night and is very cold here!!! I thought it was cold in Disney- now I'm wishing our weather was like that here!!

Lyzziesmom- I didn't get any of your photopass pictures..but I would like to see the ones you have of mine! ;) If you don't have my email, let me know and I'll PM it to ya. I hope Emma is feeling better tonight- she was so adorable on the trip I just wanted to eat her up!! :cloud9:

Ashley glad you are back!! How was POR? Glad Ruby is ok, but she does have good taste (Fudge is my favorite!).

Hi everyone--

I just got home from the airport and am now getting ready for some sleep.

Good to have you back 2x2 can't wait to hear about all the big fun you had in Orlando, hope your treatment went well!

Oh, and I booked our WDW trip-- 7 night Western cruise and 6 days at the world in December. So, now I'm in planning mode-- driving my family crazy ;) Anyway, we've never been on a Disney cruise nor have we seen Disney with all the holiday decorations up so it should be fun! My son goes to year round school and he's off track from Thanksgiving to New Year's so we're going the first of December and will hopefully avoid the crowds!

Congrats on booking your trip Yolanda, I think to keep my sanity it always helps to have a trip in the works. I would love to do a Disney cruise how exciting!

Emma is not feeling any better today. Last night she was rubbing her blankie on her ear but she said it didn't hurt, so I'm not sure what to make of that. My thermometer not only has a dead battery, but it has also gone missing. She was burning up this morning, even her belly felt hot. My mom just called and said she has perked up a little bit, but I think that might be due to the Tylenol I gave her - I don't see playing on the floor for 10 minutes as much of an improvement. I hope she feels better and starts eating soon, and doesn't pass it around to the rest of the family!

Lyzziesmom I just scrolled down and saw that Emma is feeling a little bit better hope she continues to heal quickly!

Lesa you are not being ridiculous you are being a great mom!! I know it is so hard to follow through sometimes on consequences but I truly think our kids are better for it when they realize there are consequences. Good job!:thumbsup2

Donna this is funny about the 1/2 marathon thing and getting ready. I am not a runner and I don't believe I will ever truly be a hardcore runner but my goal is to be able to walk a 14-15 minute mile or walk/run a bit faster than that. A friend called me the other day and she is thinking about running the whole marathon she is a hard core runner, well she called and asked me if I wanted to come over and do the walk/run for about a 1/2 an hour. Well we did the 2 miles like I said before and yesterday I could hardly walk!!:rotfl: I was trying to explain to Darin where I felt the pain (beside all over) so I told him to imagine a barbie doll and how you can pull their legs off, well that's were I have the most pain what I'm calling my leg sockets. I'm sure there is a better medical term but that's where it's the worst beside the front of my shins and all across my lower back. :rotfl2: I think it was more running than walking going out my first time that did it, I just want to make it to the part of the marathon that goes through Magic Kingdom if I get picked up for my pace being too slow after that I'll be golden!!

Glad the conventionears are back!

Hello everyone!!

I was so tired last night that I overslept this morning...I woke up at 6:45:scared1: Jumped out of bed, showered, hair, make-up, made my lunch and managed to be only 5 minutes late. Of course my hair was still so wet when I got there that it was actually frozen in spots!!! I am so lucky I live only a few blocks from school!

I heard about Anna Nicole when I was taking Nick to his tennis lesson. I have to say I wasn't surprised!

Today was Nick's last lesson. He came out asking if we would sign him up for the next session. So I know what I am doing tomorrow.

Luckily we don't have school tomorrow. It is a professional development day and I don't have to go!! So only a 2 day week for me!!:dance3:

Lesa... I don't think you are being too hard on her. You made the rules and now comes the tough part.. the follow thru.

Sherri, thanks for the info about the postcards...I still can't believe Brandon made such a big deal about us knowing who he was and didn't give us anything! I'm glad April and Steven were able to stay til Sat. They got to enjoy the nice weather!:cool2:

Ashley...I'm glad Ruby is going to be fine, too bad you didn't get to enjoy your fudge!

Lyzziesmom...I'm glad Emma is feeling better...sounds like she was just plain ol' wore out!!

Good evening, everyone. I just finished clearing out the final suitcase. Time to start planning another trip!!! Yeah, right.

Yolanda:: You've been a busy bee with all the painting, decorating and furniture buying!!! I assume this is something you don't do EVERY winter do you??
Terrific news that you booked you cruise!!:boat: December will be here before you know it!!

Lesa:: I'm glad you finally got your water pipes thawed out!!! I will remember the Tonga Toast request......the toast was yummy as were my pineapple macademia nut pancakes!!!! :sad1: (I want to go back)
BTW, I don't think you are being too strict with Brittany at all!!! She broke the rules. You are only trying to protect her. Being a mom isn't the easiest thing in the world sometimes.:sad2:

Michele:: I wondered where you were this morning!!! I have been sleeping like a rock the past couple of nights!! Be careful with the wet head outside....don't want you getting sick too. Have a relaxing day off tomorrow!!!

lyzziesmom:: I'm glad to hear Emma is feeling better!!

I think I hear my couch calling me.....see you all in the morning!!!:coffee:

lyzziesmom......just now got to look at your photopass pictures. Great pictures! I especially like the one where Emma was kissing Stitch!!

Good evening cliqueless crew. I'm still not caught up on my sleep. :cloud9:

Michele...I can't believe your hair frooze on the way to work.:cold:

Lesa...hang in there you are doing the right thing with the internet problem!

My DS seems to be feeling better so it's back to school tomorrow for him! I have meeting at work so I was highly encouraged to make it in tomorrow.:rolleyes1

I'll catch up with everyone tomorrow...it's a new pumpkin time tonight.:cloud9:

Lin: Aren't the Plum books great? (biker shorts indeed!) I zipped right through them and can't wait for the next one to come out. I got your PM and it makes sense, but it looks like a lot of work!!

Well it seems that Emma is starting to feel a little bit better. I guess maybe the change in climate and schedule was too much for her. Poor thing, WDW wiped her out!

Chris said it took him about 30 minutes to do the 30 I wanted to keep. It gets faster as you get used to it
Glad Emma is feeling a little better!

So, have I missed anyone posting a trip report or anything? I haven't ventured over to the Trip Reports Board in awhile.

Or has anyone posted any cool stories from the trip? Or have I just passed over them?

I still have one day left to write for mine...can I lie and say I was waiting for the rest of our crew to finish it? :rolleyes1

You are well within your means! I worry about her putting a picture of a friend on there for the safety of the friend alone!

lyzziesmom......just now got to look at your photopass pictures. Great pictures! I especially like the one where Emma was kissing Stitch!!

That one was my favorite too.

Today was exciting at work...I got to change 61 light bulbs...the joy of it all.:sad2:

Good morning, everyone!! Thank goodness it's Friday!!! I'm so ready for the weekend. I still haven't quite caught up with my laundry. Was it only a week ago today that I was anticipating meeting some of our Cliqueless Crew for the first time?
I've had a special request from Lesa for Tonga Toast.....so, Tonga Toast it shall be!!!:thumbsup2
