Quick question for all the ConventionEars... I know we had talked about chipping in to buy a PhotoPass CD and making copies, but while we were there the subject never really came up. Did anyone still want to do this? If so, do not register your PhotoPass card online because they all have to be registered to the same account in order to end up on the same CD. Let me know if you're still interested, and we'll see if we have enough people to make it affordable and doable. Thanks!! :)

Lyzziesmom- I love the pics!!! Emma is so cute! I love the pics of her in her princess dress and with the characters especially Cpt Jack!!! I like your Crocs too, I might have to order me some. I wish I had been there!

YM....Glad you made it home o.k. It was too funny about you kicking that guy!:lmao: I fell asleep and I'm sure I was snoring! :rotfl2: Our plane was full of people coughing!:scared:

Our plane was delayed taking off from Orlando as well as landing. We were held in a holding pattern for a good 1/2 hour or more. The weather here in Chicago is down right nasty. :sad2: I'm just glad my flight didn't get canceled.;)

Lizziesmom...I hope Emma feels better soon! :wizard: Thank goodness she didn't get sick during the vacation. That would have been awful! She was such a cutie!!

Well I just finished drilling holes in my wall trying to thaw the pipe out. I have come to the conclusion that the house was not properly insulated when they put the siding up. Madison has such a freezing cold draft pouring in at the floor all along the wall. Now I have to try to deal with the contractor again. I think I might go up to the gym to take a shower. Maybe I'll get a work out in while I'm there.........NOT!!!:rolleyes1 :lmao:

Nicole: glad you liked the pictures! I was hoping we would get some group photos but that didn't really happen. Some of us got good group photos during a few of the meals though!

Lesa: That's terrible about the frozen pipes! I hope you get it fixed soon. I had to laugh when you said that about a workout at the gym - I was thinking of how sore I am from all that walking around WDW and even the thought of a workout hurts!

Lyzziesmom, the pictures are great. Do the photographers mind taking several shots? I think it would be nice to have some groups shots and some couple shots when I go in April.

Amber: the PhotoPass photographers usually do take several shots. It seems like every one took at least 2 or 3 pictures, and they will happily take ones of different people.

Welcome back everyone! Sounds like you had a good time, weather and all.

I can't wait to start planning our next convention...and I am determined that we will ALL be there!

Dznyfan, good luck with the TA business.

Lesa, hope you get your pipes thawed! That stinks!

Lyzziesmom, P&PD for Miss Emma!!! I'm sending you a PM!

Thanks Donna..good choice! Warm and HEALTHY!

I made it home last night around 9pm. I could not believe what a warm day it was in Tulsa...warmer than Orlando. I see now that I'm back it's cool with a chance on of freezing rain and other snowy stuff.;) My DS came to the airport in shorts and a T-shirt.

The trip was fantastic! A few of us rode Dumbo at 12:25am on Tuesday morning! I rode Splash with Sherri and we were the only ones on the ride...just so different.:yay: We had lots of food, fun, rides, and Kenny and Emma were super sweet not to mention Kenny was a funny one!:rotfl2:

Here's a funny story from the plane ride home. I was so tired and had taken some dramamine for flying. I guess I dozed off and jerked so hard that I kicked the man sitting next to me. I was so sleepy I just patted him on his leg and apologized and went back to sleep.:rolleyes1 I did end up chatting with him a little before we got off the plane...they had a security breech so we had to sit on the runway for a while.

Well....I have lots laundry and stuff to catch up on.

It's nice to see everyone home....and those that were already home.:thumbsup2 I guess 2xcited, April, and Linda will join us soon!
Welcome home YM!! Yes, we did have a very nice, warm day yesterday. But you brought the cold back with you, didn't you?!?

Well it's official: Emma is sick. My mom called a few minutes ago to report that Emma slept very late this morning, ate one bite of waffle (her favorite) and is trying to go back to sleep. She has a slight fever. If it gets much worse she will be going to the doctor. The poor dear - I guess WDW was just too much excitement for her.
I would take her to the doctor if I were you. I had to take Courtney in to the doctor late last week. She had Bronchitis. Her doctor said to really watch her because he was seeing a lot of kids come in with pneumonia.

I haven't uploaded my pictures from my camera yet, but I was looking at the Photopass pictures this morning. A lot of them came out so cute! If anyone wants to see them, you can send me a PM with your email address and I'll send you the link. A few of Ashley's pictures accidentally ended up on my card - I wonder if she has any of mine?
Sending you a PM....

pozey: poor Courtney! Is she feeling better yet? I'm thinking Emma might just be feeling down from not enough rest - she is not used to staying out until the wee hours of the night!! If she doesn't feel better tomorrow, I will definitely ask my mom to take her in.

I forgot how long the workday can be when you skip lunch.

Yes, Courtney is feeling much better. Her doctor prescribed some antibiotics for her, and she got better pretty quickly.

Hopefully, Emma will start feeling better very soon.

My mom talked to the nurse about Emma, and they just recommended Tylenol unless her fever tops 104 (it's 102 now). That seems very high to me, but they said it's not so bad for little ones. So... off to the store for some childrens' Tylenol on my way home - my mom never seems to have any on hand for some reason. The poor girl still won't eat, that's so unlike her!

Poor thing. Hope the Tylenol helps. For Courtney, it was coughing and runny/stuffy nose. She would cough so much at night, she couldn’t sleep.

Maybe Emma just needs a REALLY good night’s sleep.

I am so frustrated. Mike found out that a competeing company has an opening. They pay a lot more (almost double) and he expressed interest in working there.

Well, today he gets a call from a curent coworker (and friend). That guy interviewed for the position. Now, Mike doesn't want to even apply, because he thinks that a.) if they were interested in him they would pursue him and b.) he doesn't want to take the job away from his friend.

I understand the friend reason, but to me, Mike has to think of himself first. It's not like his friend is hurting for money (his wife makes a lot, plus just got a raise). Mike has been at his current company for 6 years and doesn't make much more than when he started. He also hates his current company and has been wanting to quit. The extra money could really help us (that is if he even got the job).

He doesn't even want to try know. He got mad at me when I questioned him. He often doesn't think he's good/smart enough for a promotion and he hates putting himself out there. I think he's afraid of getting rejected by the company.

I just can't understand why he won't at least try.

Amber...I'm sure you are frustrated with him right now. It is too bad that he won't try. I don't know any advice to send you, just :grouphug:

I am so tired today....all that fun really took a toll on me:rolleyes1 I didn't get to bed until after midnight last night and had to be up at 5:30 for work...I am heading to bed soon. Blake had to take some people out tonight and wanted me to go with him but I just couldn't.

Glad to see these ladies have made it back to the front page:dance3: Although they aren't as good as having it acted out in front of you:rotfl2:

Don't look for April any time soon. Steven surprised her, I think, and extended their stay at OKW. Lucky them...it looks like the weather has definintely changed for the better there.

Have a great night everyone... I'll check in for breakfast tomorrow.

I'm glad to hear you all made it back home from the 'World OK, I'm still waiting for my gifts. :rolleyes1 But, ya know, I'm getting a little scared here in Ohio :scared1: it's 9 deg outside, the wind is not blowing, and it feels warm! :scared1:

Hi Everyone. April was able to stay until Saturday. They have to move from Old Key West on Thursday to Saratoga for the remainder but who wouldn't move for a few extra days at disney.:confused3

On Saturday we were able to meet a member of the dream squad named Brandon. Unfortunately we didn't receive anything but he did tell us that if we send in a postcard daily, they do mail out prizes. I looked up the information here on the dis and found this address. I thought I would post it in case anyone is interested in giving it a shot.

You need to provide your full name, complete mailing address, daytime phone number, and date of birth on a 3.5x5 postcard.
The address is:
PO Box 8629
Elmhurst, IL 60126

Good luck:wizard:

Hi!!! I've made dinner, cleaned up the kitchen and am on my 3rd load of laundry; I'm am most definitely home again!!! The trip was such fun and everyone was as nice as could be!!:goodvibes

Angela:: Nice to hear from you!! I guess you are next in line to visit WDW!! Good look in being able to do the 1/2 Marathon next January!!!
I'm already thinking of when my family will be able to take our next trip. Probably not before the end of July.

Amber:: I don't have advice about Mike's job prospect. It seems a shame for him to pass up the opportunity to at least apply for the better job.

Lesa:: Wow!!! Sorry to hear those pipes are freezing up on you!! How awful to get home and not be able to take a shower. Good luck talking to the contractor!!!:thumbsup2 Hopefully they will be agreeable and fix the insulation problem.
It was super meeting you!! I hope your knee is feeling better!!

Yolanda:: Yippee!!! You had some great weather!!! I hope you don't receive much snow; sounds like you've had enough for awhile.

Dznyfan:: Good luck on becoming a ITA. Wouldn't it be great to make a little extra money consulting about Disney? That would be a dream job!!

YourMajesty:: Glad to hear you made it hime safely!!! Too funny about you falling asleep and patting the man's leg!!!:rotfl2: I also dozed off a bit on the plane and a baby sitting in front of me squeeled and I jerked awake, too!! I was afraid for a moment that I was the one that had screamed.
The ride on Dumbo was a wonderful memory I won't soon forget!! Oh, the things a bunch of Disney lovin' friends will do!!!:woohoo:

Belle041281:: Thanks for the mailing address!!! I STILL want to spend a night in that castle!!!princess: :cloud9:

:rotfl2: I kept envisioning YM doing the banana dance:banana: !!!!;)

That Steven is just too sweet!!! I'm sure April is going to love staying at OKW a little longer!!

My first day back to work wasn't bad at all.....and when I realized it was Wednesday already it made me want to :yay: :yay: !!! My mother and sister were waiting to hear all about my trip, which surprised me since they are not big Disney fans and don't really understand my love of Disney.

I must say that Emma was a doll and looked adorable in her pretty pink princess dress for the P&P party!!
Kenny was everythng that Linda described and more so, if you can believe that!!! He had me in stitches!!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I hope my dear DH and DS know how much this trip meant to me and for being so great about my leaving. I have NEVER been anywhere without them, so this was definitely a first for me and a trip I won't soon forget!!! You guys are the best!!!

Hi everyone!!

I got back in yesterday at about 4:30. I was so exhausted I went to bed early! The trip was fun- I'm glad I got to go. I did end up staying at French Quarter so it was very convienent.

Last night we had a scare because Ruby got in my carry on and ate a whole big piece of fudge I got myself from the Mainstreet Bakery. We called the vet and they said it shouldn't be that big of a deal because it isn't 100% chocolate. We had to give her some hydrogen perioxide to make her throw up, which she didn't do at first but then did a couple hours later and the vet was very happy to hear she got it out of her system! Needless to say, that wasn't a very good welcome home and I'm very relieved she is doing better!

It snowed last night and is very cold here!!! I thought it was cold in Disney- now I'm wishing our weather was like that here!!

Lyzziesmom- I didn't get any of your photopass pictures..but I would like to see the ones you have of mine! ;) If you don't have my email, let me know and I'll PM it to ya. I hope Emma is feeling better tonight- she was so adorable on the trip I just wanted to eat her up!! :cloud9:

Hi everyone--

I just got home from the airport and am now getting ready for some sleep. Do you believe that yesterday and today were both beautiful in Orlando?? The sun was shining, the birds were chirping---nothing like the cold, misty weather from a few days ago. But, we still had a wonderful time, didn't we??

I MUST get some well needed sleep, so I will check in tomorrow or Friday. I have a treatment in the morning, then to work. Oh, why does vacation have to end??

It was so good to meet all of you!! I am laughing as I remember some of the things we did and talked about!!!!:lmao: :lmao: :dance3: They are definitely memories that I will cherish!!!!!

Have a good night!!

oh, and YM----the airline check-in guy at POFQ didn't ask me for TWO DOLLAS.:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
