How can they adjust points for views when they sell FWs of said views? Anyone know? Is it a non-issue?
It you look at the multi site POS it lists what the points per night would be if there was no difference between days and seasons.
Not all resorts declare based on view which allows flexibility
With FW, they can’t sell more than 35% of the rooms in that category so that alone would give them flexibility to adjust across views.
Creating a new view would be difficult, and I am not 100% sure they can at this point other than what they did with BWV…points are the same for BW view and P/G room but it became its own booking category.
My guess is because there were so few? They would have the flexibility to change the classification of actual rooms because of the way the charts are created.
I don’t think we will ever see them change any of those resort view rooms to preferred view just because of fireworks…and that is because the bulk of the time the view is a roof or parking lot.
Now, some of those first floor PV rooms that are near the quiet pool and now blocked by shrubs? Maybe a few of those could be converted.
As long as they have 65% of all rooms in a specific category available for regular type of booking, then there is some wiggle room
