If it had just been Sinclair and Nexstar complaining to ABC, that would have been a situation that networks have dealt with before. The system did not work as it should because the new chairman of the FCC was not letting the market decide what would happen, but instead was making uninformed threats.

That was the original post I was responding to. That could not have paid the fine, because there is no fine… maybe because there was no content that would rise to the level of a fine?
More likely because ABC suspended him before the FCC investigated.
Yeah it’s not the greatest of timing but it’s also been the standard to issue an increase at the end of the fiscal year to take place in the new fiscal year.
I had read a day or two ago that there was an increase coming. I have a grandfathered plan that's no longer offered, and it's going up by $5, or nearly 39%.
I had already been thinking about cancelling, and this will seal the deal.
I was at that rate for a couple of years, but are those deals available to past subscribers? E.g. if I cancel in September, can I get the holiday deal in November?
