Remember the Miserable Mom......

Get this....a mom drops off her DS at school today, and says her DD is home with the flu (Kelly's classmate) and that her DD didn't want her friends to get sick. I told the Mom to thank her DD for us. Nice right? Get this! Kelly tells me that said girl SHOWED UP a little later, but couldn't make it through lunch.

WHAT the SNAP was this mother thinking?! Oh, that's right, SHE WASN'T!!!! I was livid, I am livid. I called another mom to tell her of this, as we had talked after school about being grateful that she kept her DD home for ONCE, and then I hear this! This is the mom who brought her DD to the softball game, wait, I mean CARRIED, literally carried, to the softball game over the summer, and while her DD refused to bat or play the field, near the end of the game, she MADE her DD go out on the field, for pictures or video, or God knows what, and the girl proceeds to vomit (I have it on tape

) and rather than take her OUT, the parents left her in until she vomited AGAIN!!! While I feel soooo bad for this girl, I just wanna SMACK this mom!
Yes, another Mom & I went to the principal on Wed, before the 4 day break, so no time to act on anything, but he knows the history now.
Update: Yesterday 'mom' brought her DD to school with OBVIOUS Pink Eye!!! I was

I even heard her parents outside the classroom saying that 'her' eyes were getting worse, and then they left her!

I mentioned this to 2 other parents who are also steaming! I waited until I could get a moment with the student teacher, and asked her if 'she' had pink eye, and she said she didn't know, but that 'mom' (and I use that term lightly) was coming back later and taking her out of school to see a Dr. Well, what the *()^)%&*(%&(%^ was she doing at school at all!!!!???? I went straight to the principal, who went straight to their classroom, and I left. After school, sure enough, there's a 2nd grade pink eye notice in Kelly's papers.

Turns out the principal took 'her' out of class so 'mom' could come and get 'her' ASAP.

Even the principal started a sentence, "What.....", and I said WE'LL NEVER understand.
Thankfully, 'she' stayed home today but the 'mom' already stated 'she' will be back tomorrow after 24 hours of antibiotic.
I feel really bad for this little girl

, being sick so often, and even more so for having an idiot 'mom' who drags her out at her worst, but it's even further annoying that she's spreading this to our kids KNOWINGLY and unnecessarily.
Another parent, a Dad, had a meeting with the principal today over these same issues. He said he was well received, given the past week.
I'm no star parent, by any means.

I've been called a few times when I've missed a symptom in the morning, to come and get Kelly, but these parents, in less than one week, have brought their DD to school twice KNOWING and ADMITTING in public that she was sick!
This lady better be

if she comes around me anytime soon!
Sorry. I tried venting last night

, but the boards went down on me.

Gave you all another day's peace.
I am keeping up on reading

, just not much time to post from work or home lately.

For some reason, this upcoming month is very overwhelming to me.

2 kids with Dec BDs and a slew of family as well.....makes for a lot of wrapping paper changes!
Holler if you need me!

I'm here.....just mostly lurking.
