Singapore Hotels

We will have 2 nights in Singapore before our Adventure cruise. We will have a red-eye flight from Tokyo and arrive around 6 AM so I was thinking about staying at Shangri-La Rasa Sentosa and having a resort/beach day for our arrival day. Are there are perks to booking this through DCL rather than direct?

Or are we better off staying more city center? If so, any recommendations on areas and/or hotels?

We are a family of 4 with 2 teens (16 & 18 when we go). Our main plans are Gardens by the Bay, zoo and aquarium. We will also have debarkation day as well since we fly out the next morning. We booked an airpot hotel for that night.

I stayed at Marina Bay Sands which was incredible. Absolutely loved the views from the rooftop pool.

Next time, if it's a lot cheaper, I might try a Universal hotel to be close to that and do Universal Studios Singapore again.

Thank you! I'm trying to decide it city center to Sentosa is better and it really seems to depend on what we want to do. Since we're doing USJ, we aren't planning on going to the one in Singapore but Sentosa still seems to have so much to do.

You mentioned the zoo and there are actually 3 zoos in Singapore. Absolutely do the Night Zoo as it is very unique as it highlights the nocturnal animals. If you do go you can do the tram later in the evening if there is a long line. The walking paths are really neat.

Anyone have experience with early arrival getting a room? I land 6am. Assume I’ll get to Hotel like 830/9 am after 13 hour flights. So want to nap for 2 hours is the plan. Ina Hilton garden inn Singapore for now but not sure other than booking two days how to secure the room for early. Any hotels aware of that offer gaurantee early arrival for a cost vs full night fare?
