:lmao: Thank you for that! It was too cute and funny!

What a neat question, OP!:)

Before every trip I always give youngest DS the same speel...

"You should be glad you get to go to WDW as often as you do! If I want to take (insert # here) pictures you better be patient and let me take them! Do you know how much this vacation is costing me??? I want to have memories when we get home!" ;) Oh, I left one out..."If I want you to pose with the characters, you better pose with the characters. and look HAPPY!" (He's 15):lmao:

My family has gotten used to me dragging the camera everywhere. I do all the shooting.

For once, though, I would love to hear my wife say "Give me the camera and I'll take a picture of YOU with the kids!"

You would think I never go anywhere with them! :sad2:

Here is what I have been doing lately on our trips...

Leave the camera in the room, do it for a full day, or for a morning one day, and an evening another.... Don't do it on your last day, so if you see something you want you can go back.

I still get plenty of pictures, but I also get to just concentrate on being with the kids.

What...leave the camera behind :scared: .....I am breaking out in a cold sweat just thinking about it

Yes, it drives DW crazy but having to fly 4,500 miles to get to WDW how can I not take pictures!

Leave it home????????

:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

It's like an appendage.... I can't go anywhere on a vacation without it.

I almost feel naked without it when I am on vacation and picking up groceries! :rotfl:

My family doesn't mind my taking pictures, and now they're also all getting into it too which is great. DH had his own camera this past trip and it gave me a little break, I knew he was getting great shots and he also did a lot of movie clips and panoramics.

Friends were another matter. Previously got a lot of these  But I enjoy making small albums for them and at minimum usually give people CDs with their families' pictures on them, so most of them now have begun :teeth: and even doing things like, on the cruise, holding their dinner plates up for me to shoot before the first bite, LOL. There was a lot of positive commentary from them too like "oops, forgot my camera, but it's ok because Linda's here" and such which made me feel pretty good.

Just returned from a trip with 30 friends and family divided into 8 groups. DH and I took over 4500 pictures, whereas the others took between 100 and 450 pictures in comparison. We saw many of them last night at a cookout and they were actually disappointed we hadn't brought our laptop for a slideshow. That's progress! :rotfl: But they know some good photos are coming and we're also going to make a fun trip DVD with copies for everyone.

Drove the DW a little crazy in the past but hopefully that will change on the next trip- She has been talking about getting her first DSLR for a while now so I got her a D40 w/ 18-135 kit lens. Planning on giving it to her at our anniversary dinner at Ohana on the first night of our next trip in a couple weeks. Hopefully after that she will be taking her time a little more and I may actually be in one of our future photo albums. ;)

: He's actually quite a good photographer but would rather carry nothing in the parks......

That's why I like my Panasonic TZ1. I know it has its limits but you don't realize you are carrying it and with its 10x zoom it handles everything I do.

Your not alone. My DD calls my camera a weapon!! I dont have a great camera or anything, but I love the memories. I think she is ok with it though, since WE both look them over and over all the time.

Now keep in mind I usually come home with 800 ish pictures. I print about 500 of them and put them in albums. Memories are so precious!

For mine, yes it will!! I'm not really even a PHOTOGRAPHER, I just LOVE to take pictures, but yes it will drive them NUTS:rotfl2:

depends on hubby's( affectionately aka the "pack mule") mood...it more annoys him( and probably everyone else a the near vicinity) when i become so "focused"( hehe pun intended ;)) i forget where i am and stop dead in my tracks to take a shot of some thing i'm the only one who thinks is "to good to pass up" and then he trips over me(...that 's everywhere though since i haven't gone to wdw in my digital age yet.....)but since he knows i am going to make "frequent stops" he has learned to just keep walking( and to be in front of me) and i will eventually catch up...when i went to toronto with my mother and sister i thought they'd complain but when i was pooped( have a conditions that makes me have a lack of stamina) my sister even offered to carry my camera bag so no problem there, even though they laughed at my "cn tower from every angle possible" pursuit :):):)

we don't do the parks commando anymore so i think i'd do it the same way there...last trip i did leave my slr in the room towards the end due to being tired out but we don't have kids in tow so that's a little different.

oblio, very cute,,,i've seen that same look but on a male face:)

I take tons of pictures. Of my daughter (5y) alone I averaged 10 photos a day since she was born.:scared: She loves it now but I can see her getting annoyed when she gets a bit older. Shes my baby an only child what do ya expect.;) You should see me at DD's gymnastics classes...I'm the crazy mom with the big paparazzi camera:rotfl:

I just got a massive heavy duty fire/flood proof safe to hold all her childhood pictures and media
