At present they are not building a DVC onsite at WDW, where and when is the next likely to be ?

Do they intend to continue building nothing but hotels until the whole place is full or will extra attractions eventually follow?

I think we'll see a DVC addition at GF before we do at the Poly, simply because of ground space. They just rehabbed the Poly buildings, so it is doubtful they'd want to tear some of those down, or gut them completely already.

Unfortunately, the GF doesn't have a lot of room, either. So it also may not be next on the list. Right now Disney is concentrating on multi-million $ home construction on land recently de-annexed from WDW, so another onsite DVC may be on the backburner unless sales really pick-up.

CR is soooooo ooooold. Totaly due for a refurb. (Remember that it is the original WDW hotel). What better way to refurb than a second BLT on the grounds of the existing south wing.

I would love to see poly but I am betting on an extension to VWL first

No more construction. Stop the madness.

Not likely---Parks & Resorts is positively addicted to the revenue stream generated by DVC sales.

Place: shores of bay lake or LBV

Time: well, BLT has about another year to sell out. They didn't even acknowledge BLT as DVC, let alone open sales, until it was nearly finished construction. I'm thinking sales will open for The Next One about two years from now.

I'd like to see something at Port Orleans Riverside. We miss staying there since becoming members of DVC..
They have beautiful grounds there!

I'd vote for the Poly too! Another beautiful resort!

I don't think VWL can expand. The way I understand it, they made it as large as they could (still the smallest on-site DVC resort). Something about the land use in that area is very restricted as to what can be done with designated nature areas.

I could see them doing something down by FW on Bay Lake. Somehow I just don't think they'll go for the Poly or GF addition, but I have no real rationale to justify that opinion. :)

Has anyone heard whether Disney intends on adding more DVC units at GC or DL?

I think DLH in California will get a DVC.

As for WDW, its going to have to be Poly or GF. No way they try to put a DVC on a mod site and no way they build a stand alone DVC resort unless its on Bay Lake or Seven Seas lagoon.

though it surrounds (at least the front) by wetlands.

now they might be able to do treehouse type of construction - but that would not fit the style of WL/VWL. so that would not happen. but hey they could do that for the Polyn....

well since they are finally doing something with Pop - that is out.

how about something close to WWoS?

since dvc say that members will not pay for any of the monrail (or that is how I read the contract) - not sure about Disney allowing another monrail resort.

since those things are near their life expectancy and will have to replaced in the next 10 years - Disney needs hotel rooms that will surpose the costs - not DVC units that won't.

of course could be reading the contract wrong.

That seems most logical for the DLH, but so far there are no well sourced rumors or news. And I've been asking around, as I have a few well placed sources. No one has heard a thing.

In theory, I agree with this and see little sense in any new DVC construction at WDW for the short term.

Not likely---Parks & Resorts is positively addicted to the revenue stream generated by DVC sales.

In practice, though, I know this is true! Although I wonder if we'll see an extension for BWV and BCV to generate cash before any new construction happens.

The old waterpark area is where I was thinking
