What would YOU like to see at Aulani?

Pin Trading...which I am sure they will have but organized, for my DD sake

My first wishlist would be to move it to Maui or Kauai. After that, I'd ask for "Jitney" service to the other parts of the island, free airport transportation, an onsite rental car agency, day trips available for purchase to places like the north shore, Dole, Polynesian Cultural Center, Bishop Museum, Arizona, Pearl Harbor. Diamond Head, Hanauma Bay etc, etc, etc.

I also like the suggestion someone else had about inter island cruises!

Darn, you nearly took the words out of my mouth! Move it to the big island or Maui is my suggestion!

Response to some of the suggestions:

Luau - Would be nice but there already is a luau (http://www.paradisecovehawaii.com) not a 1/4 mile away in the other side of the Marriott Ihilani. The Luau operates on 12 acres of land. The entire Aulani's property is 21 acres so dedicating a large chunk of real estate to reinvent the wheel may not be worth it.

Luxe Pool - Definately would be nice, as long as they don't forget the private cabannas like they have at GCH

Airport Shuttle - Not practical... You HAVE to have a car when you are at Aulani... There is nothing else around the hotel... You need a car to go shopping, sightsee, go to other beaches, go shopping, go out to eat... You don't want to feel like a prisioner!

Planned Excursions - Probably, but that would probably cost a premium (thinking Adventures by Disney). If you want the best deals/discounts grab some rack cards or activity books when you get to the airport. Then call the tour operators directly. They'll usually be able to offer you a discount since they are not kicking back comissions to the concierges or activity desks.

DCL - Difficult and inconvenient. Google: Jones Act!

Dole Whips - Probably will be there, if not you can get them at the Dole Plantation in just outside of Wahiawa!

Gisele Bündchen - I like that idea, just stick her in my private cabanna!

I think you're in luck!! And there is a Roy's across the street (literally!) that is fab!

Roy's?

Roy's as in Roy Yamaguchi. Google him! It's one of a few of his restaurants in Hawaii. Very nice! He was on the food channel a few times, even on the Iron Chef USA show...

There are Roy's all over the country too...he's known for Pacific fusion cuisine I think? There is a Roy's in Orlando.
