"What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong always gets me. For no real reason, it just does.

"That's What Friends Are For" by Dionne Warwick, Elton John, Gladys Knight, Stevie Wonder also makes me sad.

"Holes in the Floor of Heaven" by Steve Wariner. This song seemed to play constantly right after both my parents died. They died 2 months apart:sad1:

I would listen to the radio on my way to work, it would play, I would be a crying mess walking into the office:sad2:

Every time I hear "When Somebody Loved Me" from Toy Story 2, I cry. Every single time! And I listen to Disney music a lot. It makes me think of my DD, growing up and not needing her old mom anymore.

The other Disney song that gets me misty is "Candle on the Water" from Pete's Dragon.

I had a dog die in my arms while that song played in the background. Hearing it now immediately takes me back to that horrible day. :sad1:

Amazing Grace....ever since my sister's funeral. I hate this song.

Memories...(from CATS)....makes me tear up every time.

Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton. I can't even listen to it, even though it is a beautiful song.

Candle in the Wind by Elton John. The first version makes me sad for Marilyn Monroe, the second for Diana.

That's another one that really makes me sad.

There are some on iPod I listen to when I just want to have a good cry:

"Small Enough" by Nicole Ordnan (sp?)
Pretty much anything by Evanescence. I love their music, but it's not the most uplifting in the world
"Her Diamonds" (I think it's Rob Thomas, can't remember)

Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton. I can't even listen to it, even though it is a beautiful song.

That was the first song that came to my mind, too. It breaks my heart to even think about what Clapton must have been going through when he wrote it...and yet, it's such a poignant, beautiful tribute to his son.

I'll also add Forever Young (Alphaville), Nothing Compares to You (Sinead O'Connor) and Hallelujah (Leonard Cohen/Jeff Buckley).

Angels Amoung us. Alambama. (played it at my wedding for all the family members that past away)

See you on the other side. Ozzy Osbourne. Came out he day my favorite uncle past to lung cancer.

It takes a lot for me to cry, so I normally don't cry easily from songs, but the first time I heard "Cry" from Kelly Clarkson, I was beyond words. The emotion you could hear in her voice and the lyrics were just so pure and raw, it made me wanna cry. Now, being a singer, I want to sing this song all the time, due to the emotion, and even after I sing it, I just have to sit for a minute and try to get out of the mood it puts me in.

I know, it sounds epic, but apparently epic things like to happen with me.

"Woman's Work" by Maxwell. Everytime I hear it I cry rivers. I can't explain it. Its just a beautiful song.:sad1:

I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables.

Angel by Sarah McLachlin. I remember it being out around the time JFK Jr died. Then my aunts best friend's husband died and he had requested it be sung at his funeral (my aunt sung it). He saw it on the ASPCA commercials. He had depression problems and I think he related to it (he died following open heart surgery but I think he knew he wasn't going to live).
