I have burnt the bacon for my chicken and bacon pasta and I care not a jot!! Can't wait to get access to a computer to see these pics in all their glory ( as opposed to on my phone) as it can only get better :)

You might want to look at those pictures again.... Verrry Carefullly....

LOL! Wow I am surprised you made it to the evening with all of that "practice"! Glad you made friends with the alligators too.

:lmao: Bahahahahaha!!

I just assumed I was off at a park that afternoon. I didn't realize I made it back from DHS in time for the pool practice session.

:rotfl2:

Seriously??? People chose to go to the parks rather than practice???? Selfish, lol.

Aww so nice to visit with Teena finally. And wow, so your saying you didn't make the shirt, it actually realy said that? Nifty!!

OMG... that "practice session" was HI-larious. I really admire the work that went into producing this. :thumbsup2

Stormalong Bay already looked like a fun place. Now I really can't wait to check it out next year when we stay at Beach Club! :yay:

Arriving at Stormalong Bay, Ninja Mom prepares to do battle with the chair hogs.

Classic! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: Thanks for the warning about consuming beverages during the reading of this update.

That was freaking hysterical! :rotfl2:

A group of us had breakfast reservations at the Captain's Grille first thing Monday morning. NinjaMom was there with her DH and two of her boys, JanetMom and her DH, HockeyMomR (Rebecca) joined us for coffee only.

As I looked over the menu, the Citrus-scented French toast caught my eye, but I had promised someone who posted on this thread that I would try the Dark Chocolate Waffles. What's a girl to do?

I ordered both!

For research purposes, of course.

So what are my thoughts? I preferred the waffles.

Here's some pictures of my two breakfast entrees along with a couple of other orders at the table.

Citrus-scented French Toast - Challah Bread with Lavender-infused Strawberry Compote and White Chocolate Ganache with your choice of Bacon or Sausage - $11.99

Dark Chocolate Waffles - Dried Cherry Compote, Espresso-Mascarpone Cream, Chocolate Shavings, and a choice of Bacon or Sausage - $10.99

A couple of people in our group ordered this

After breakfast, some of us parted ways. Rebecca went off to join her mother for some fun at Hollywood Studios, I think. Janet and her husband left, Ninja’s family had plans of their own that didn’t include her, so Ninja and I went on a quest to see if we could find some treasure at the Beach Club.

Next Up: No Neater Greeter and the SAB Synchronized Pool Tube Team Practice Session

.
Those waffles look amazing. They are on the list for my next trip

Disclaimer: If you are currently consuming coffee, a soft drink or other beverage, you may want to put it down until the end of this update.

After everyone parted ways following breakfast, I went back to the room to change into my swimsuit. We had an important mission- our Stormalong Bay Synchronized Pool Tube Team scheduled our first official event for that night and we had not even had a single practice session yet! And the news was even more dire- NinjaMom and I were the only ones who showed up for practice! The rest all mumbled something about “theme parks” and “Fast Passes” and took off as quickly as they could in the opposite direction.

Once I had changed, I waited for my teammate in the lobby.

At last- I had a chance to visit with my favorite Cast Member and dear friend Teena! Of course, she was swarmed by other fans when I arrived… ScottMC was there, and another DISer, Mousegear and her son. Scott stayed for a little bit, then he was off to chase a Yeti or something. When Ninja arrived, we lined up for a photo. I haven’t asked Mousegear for permission to post pictures of her family, so I will block out their faces. This will also give them an opportunity to deny ever having met us if necessary.

I would like to point out a couple of important fashion statements- Ninja, of course, was sporting her official team t-shirt (I’ll wear mine later). My shirt has the image of a boat and the words M/V Teena Babes. Where did I get the shirt? It was given to me in a bag of hand-me-downs 3 or 4 years ago and it is just absolute coincidence that it is so meaningful to me.

We chatted for awhile, then figured we had monopolized Teena for long enough, so we parted ways. For now.

Ninja had to go back to her room for something and I followed her. When we got in I heard this strange noise coming from the closet. I opened up the door and was amazed to see a small black suitcase rocking back and forth. While my friend was in the “little ninjas room”, I slowly unzipped the case and out popped

Buzzy the Fly!

I don’t know how he got in there, but boy was he relieved to be released!

Having done my good deed for the day, it was off to Stormalong Bay!

When I next laid eyes on Ninja Mom, she had slipped into her subtle Ninja disguise. Whenever she is roaming the resort she cannot resist undoing the heinous acts of evildoers that occasionally inhabit the resort. The world is a safer place as she snatches up abandoned pool towels and scans the deck for illegal pool hoppers using her special Ninja Goggles. These Ninja Goggles help to hide her true identity, for if she was recognized she would end up spending the entire morning autographing Speedos and Mankinis.

Undetected, we made our way to the pool in search of the perfect spot to stash our flip flops and water wings. Finding a pool chair was thirsty work so we ordered up a batch of Sunken Treasures and told the Bartender to "Keep 'em comin!!"

I now present to you, the Stormalong Bay Synchronized Pool Tube Team

Warmups:

Arriving at Stormalong Bay, Ninja Mom prepares to do battle with the chair hogs.

Unfortunately the chair hogs are taking a new tack and trying to reserve chairs that they aren't using with Sunken Treasures. Rest assured Ninja Mom and I consumed every one of these cups in a selfless effort to thwart their "piggy-ness".

Here I am on the sandy play area of Stormalong Bay corrupting the morals of a pair of child eating alligators.

Never one to share, Ninja Mom rounds up all the unattended buckets so that just she can play with them.

Warmups completed, it was time to enter the water:

After beating Ninja Mom senseless with a pair of pool noodles I leap to the rescue of an unattended Sunken Treasure!

Ninja Mom fails in an attempt to find an artistic way to mount the pool tube for the Synchronized Pool Tube Team.

Here Ninja Mom narrowly averts an untimely death from a drive-by tubing collision. Both parties exchanged insurance information and were soon on their way.

Lacking the simple coordination needed to use a pool tube, Ninja Mom suffers yet another embarrassing wipe out.

Despite her valiant efforts to turn the lazy river into a bubbly jacuzzi, Ninja Mom fails once again and succeeds only in blowing a hole in her shorts and her mask completely off.

After alarming the lifeguards with her lack of pool tube prowess, it was agreed that Ninja Mom would stick to a pair of training noodles for the foreseeable future.

After another tough Synchronized Pool Tube Team practice Ninja Mom hits the training room for some much needed hydrotherapy.

Next Up: Invading the Presidential Suite and the Salad of my Dreams!

As coach of this team, I feel like I let you down. I should have been there to guide and direct your efforts... I am so ashamed and your mishaps I claim responsibility for :rolleyes1

It appears that this update was a hit! I have to give credit where it is due- Ninja Mom choreographed that morning, and provided the excellent commentary and "enhancements" to the pictures.

I was essentially just along for the ride!

:lmao:

Your practice session was hilarious! I love the Ninja mask and sea of Sunken Treasures. :rotfl:

You can't have too many Sunken Treasures! Or maybe you can!

:goodvibes

Oh Dee, I loved this hilarious update! You two girls are the funniest e-v-e-r! Thanks for starting my work day off on a great note.

We had such a fun morning together! I'm glad we started your day with a smile.

:)

:lmao::lmao::lmao: my tummy hurts from laughing. That was THE funniest update ever, Dee. Thank you for sharing your words and your pictures. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

:thumbsup2

Glad you enjoyed it. Like I said above, most of the credit (blame) goes to my friend, Ninja Mom.

:dance3:

Classic! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl: Thanks for the warning about consuming beverages during the reading of this update.

That was freaking hysterical! :rotfl2:

So glad the update didn't disappoint.

When friends get together at Disney they can do some pretty crazy things. And for some reason an image of dogs lifting their legs at EPCOT is flashing through my head.

:rotfl2:

Oh holy goodness you are absolutely nuts in the best most funny way and I love you for it lol
I have burnt the bacon for my chicken and bacon pasta and I care not a jot!! Can't wait to get access to a computer to see these pics in all their glory ( as opposed to on my phone) as it can only get better :)
Gotta run but brilliant update Dee (and ninjamom of course). :)

I knew you would like this!!!

:rotfl:

So sorry about our part in ruining your dinner. Mmmm- chicken and bacon pasta sounds yummy!

:thumbsup2

LOL! Wow I am surprised you made it to the evening with all of that "practice"! Glad you made friends with the alligators too.

It was certainly a full day!

Early morning fire drill, breakfast, team practice, EPCOT time, more pool time as you may recall, an EPIC meet and a rowdy dinner. All without a nap!

If you can't be friends with gators, who can you befriend? You can tell they are happy by their gaping smiles. I'm glad they are taking the advice to "Stay Out of the D@mn Lakes!"

There might be a cameo....

Oh dear. :scratchin I'll go back now.

:magnify:

:lmao: Bahahahahaha!!

I just assumed I was off at a park that afternoon. I didn't realize I made it back from DHS in time for the pool practice session.

:rotfl2:

You found it!!!

:goodvibes

Seriously??? People chose to go to the parks rather than practice???? Selfish, lol.

Aww so nice to visit with Teena finally. And wow, so your saying you didn't make the shirt, it actually realy said that? Nifty!!

OMG... that "practice session" was HI-larious. I really admire the work that went into producing this. :thumbsup2

I know! We went through all sorts of effort to put a team together, these people came all the way to Florida and then slipped off to play! Can you imagine?

I actually had to go into EPCOT later that afternoon to see if I could round up a few stragglers and drag them to practice, but all I was able to find was a Goofy friend.

 Teena

The shirt was given to me by a friend who did not know about my friendship with Teena. I asked her what the shirt was from and she didn't really know.
Teena was surprised too when she saw the shirt, because I don't think she sees very many things with that spelling.

Glad you liked our practice session. Next time we will have to sell tickets!

:rotfl:

Stormalong Bay already looked like a fun place. Now I really can't wait to check it out next year when we stay at Beach Club! :yay:

You will love SAB! Even without the additional hijinks, it is a fun place to be .

:goodvibes:

Those waffles look amazing. They are on the list for my next trip

Lots of great choices at Captain's Grille!

So sorry that I just missed you on that trip.

:(

As coach of this team, I feel like I let you down. I should have been there to guide and direct your efforts... I am so ashamed and your mishaps I claim responsibility for :rolleyes1

With all due respect to your coaching skills, I really don't think you could have helped us. We were beyond help!

:sad2:

Best.update.EVER :goodvibes I am :rotfl: and my poor pup is looking at me like I've lost my mind! Great pics! How dare those piggies try to save chairs with Sunken Treasures..:lmao: Not wise, I would've drank them all!! Do they give out pails at SAB, or just have those around out of curiosity :hyper: Or did you ladies eat a LOT of ice cream :thumbsup2

I'll be wearing my SAB team t-shirt on the Disney Fantasy next week. Wonder if anybody will comment???

I'm still laughing at the pool noodles.

I am so much more excited for my trip now! As if that was possible...
