What was your first resort?

I'm just curious where everyone stayed for their first on-property trip. Have you stayed at that resort again? Is it one of your favorites?

The first time we stayed in the bubble was at Coronado. We haven't stayed there since, but we're going back in May and I'm so excited!
Our first resort was Colorado Springs, and we found it to be too big to enjoy. It had nice rooms but the restaurant was terrible at that time, many years ago. We have not gone back to CS, but found our home at POr and POFQ.

Waaay back when on my first family trip, mid 1970s, we stayed at Contemporary. First real on site stay as grownups was Pop Century, 2005. We'd stayed offsite several times between 2000-2005, but really came to love using Disney transportation, etc. bought DVC 2011, first DVC stay was Saratoga.

From what I can remember it was all stars. Not sure which one. I think music?

Riverside. Pretty good and I liked the locale and atmosphere. And easy transport to Disney Springs to go chill out.

For me it was:

2021 - Old Key West
2022 - Saratoga Springs - The Springs
2022 - Grand Floridian / Boardwalk - Welcome Home trip
2023 - Grand Floridian
2025 - Grand Floridian

That was my favorite thing about staying at Saratoga. Whenever we had an off day or left the parks early, my wife and I went into Disney Springs and just relaxed.

My first on-site stay was the Contemporary in the North Garden wing. We had a first floor room with a patio that looked out to the Magic Kingdom and we could see the fireworks. That wing was subsequently torn down and replaced with Bay Lake Towers DVC.

I think the Contemporary in 1980, but I was a baby and don’t actually remember! But I know we stayed there a few times and I’m pretty sure it was our go-to. I have not stayed there as an adult. I have since stayed at Poly(favorite), Beach Club, Yacht Club and POR(other favorite.)

First trip ever was early last year.
3 way split stay, Animal Kingdom (Kidani) for 2 nights, then BWV for 3 nights, then BRV for 5 nights.
Even though I was probably already hooked, it definitely sealed the deal. :)

2014 Aulani, yes visit often

Dec 2018 All Star Sports, did not return bc we bought DVC on "impulse" on that trip. Although, just yesterday, my grandson said that he"d like to return to the same resort for nolstagic reasons.

Maybe just stop by for a snack.? lol

The first resort I officially stayed at was Coronado Springs, but I was young and don't remember much about it. My first trip as a mom taking my own little ones was to Port Orleans, so it'll always have a special place in my heart.

Our first resort was way back in 1977. We were on vacation with another couple down in Tampa Bay and on the day we were leaving we thought it would be nice to visti WDW so we called and got rooms for 2 days at Polynesian. I can't imagine being able to do that today!!. We are now a regular at POR.

My first onsite stay was at Coronado Springs many many years ago, cast member discount! Took a family member for their first ever trip as a milestone birthday gift.

My first Disney resort was the Caribbean Beach Club. It was fun. Since then, we’ve upgraded to the Yacht Club and haven’t looked back.
