Paula, good luck with everything! I couldn't imagine going through all that!!! I hope whatever the lawyer hopes to have happen with this will help though!

John, I really missed seeing y'all on Sunday :( I hope you have fun this weekend. Unfortunately this is the last weekend for church in the evenings for us, so we want to go and say our "goodbyes" for the summer. Though I'd love it for the Tacos :teeth:

Nancy, I hope they enjoy their new machines. Truthfully, I just do not care for Dell now. They aren't the wonderful business they used to be. That said, if I were getting a tower, I wouldn't even bother looking at a brand name. I would rather do it myself and save the money ;)Since this is a laptop, I'm stuck. Not saying that I can't stand any brand name anything, I just think some companies have gone down and some have gone up. And of course it depends on what you are getting. Dell and IBM are it for my laptops. Won't even bother with anyone else.

Slow here too... but I wasn't shocked after this weekend. Most people I know are busy or away. But I did hit too many "Server Busy" messages even this weekend. Gotten it more than 1/2 the time today :(

Hi Y'all-Y'alls.

We did have an enjoyable weekend and today is the first day of Summer for my girls.

Now I'm off to drop off Mrs. AA at the church where she will meet up with a few other ladies to go take in a minor league baseball game.

I wonder if the ump will want to borrow her guide dog? :)

What IS it with the server busy thing? It’s the worst I’ve ever experienced for sure.

Some ketchup…Took some of the blog tests back there…stupid tests!

Still hafta read JRKaren’s trip reports.

Seems like remodeling for Ya Yas is well underway. Hope all projects are completed with satisfaction even if they are a bit frustrating.

JRKaren, not a December trip in my future this year. Will be cruising in October with a couple days in the World at the end before leaving. We are in the World October 26 and leave on the 29th. Going to MNSSHP on the 26th. I think we may only cross pahs with Nancy and may see the others as they arrive at the airport and we leave. Have you booked yet? Good trip pics.

Elaine, congrats! On your mothiness. How’s the cat food search going? Hope Gwenie has something good, Cleo too. Cat restaurant at your place?

What???! No cabana boy limit? Well, that may just mean that I’ll hafta work more at getting those who may be bored away from some sistahs. I know you can’t keep them all constantly occupied.

TC’s DW has Mango issues….eek! tmi! Thought of you and family this weekend. Hope you enjoyed.

Paula, thinking of you as you trek through all these challenges. I understand it is difficult, but try to keep in mind that you are doing your best, the rest is out of your control. (There’s a lot to be said of the serenity prayer.) Oooh and no car yech! Steal one!

Sherry, thank you for posting the Clay link. I didn’t get to see the show.

Alan, I’m certain the ump would find it amusing. She might ask after the game if the ump wants to use Pilot for the next games though so she doesn’t get tossed out of this one.

Thanks for the birthday wishes. I enjoyed our celebration. Alan, that pic was amazing. You found one of me at the races!

Alan, I hope Rebecca has a great time tonight!!!!

Lily, cat food is going okay. I think I know which brand they like best, but I will keep putting the other out too. I bought it, so I hope they'll eat it some ;)
So yes, a bit of a restaurant here... choice for everyone :teeth:

Looked at laptops more. It's going to be a long search. I know I'll wind up with the Dell, but I still have dreamed of that Thinkpad. Not a huge deal since they both are decent machines... just hope I won't have to use Dell's tech support if I get them ;)

Oh for Bethie, I think this is our door...

of course I'll take a pic of our real one when it is installed. Hopefully tomorrow I'll have an idea on how long that will be.

Evening all!

Worked my tushie off cleaning up the new store today-construction stirs up lots of dust. We've got a firm date-tomorrow I get to call all the people on the waiting list to start scheduling, woohoo!

Lainey, I loved my thinkpad, just wanted faster and wireless. That said, the HP weighs less than the thinkpad, even being much bigger.

Paula, day shift is *always* nice. Good luck with the doctor's appointment.

Lily, how are you doing today? Glad you're back and can't wait to see pics!

Tara, gosh, how time flies-you need to post pics, too.

Bethie, how'd the leg do today?

Nancy, sounds like Costco raids your wallet the way it does mine, lol!

Suzanne

Elaine, I love that door! Hope you don't become too frustrated over the hunt. Sometimes I become exhausted doing that sort of thing and just want it to end.

Paula, hope the doc is going to be able to help and that the insurance stuff gets resolved easily.

Suzanne, yay for date! It seems that things are moving qiuckly and that you are managing it all quite well.

JRKaren, love your trip report. I sure lived vicariously and enjoyed every moment.

Thanks for asking, I'm fine. Although the thing is I guess I am not to know what is causing the problem that was being investigated. Doc said it appears that the test that led to these 2 procedures must have been a false positive. I'm not complaining. Having the endoscopy today may provide an opportunity to help that hopefully will allow for a better time with my swallowing issue. If I didn't have the false positive this opportunity would not have been present. Since the procedure was going forward the doc tried another dillitation along with it. I hope it helps. Time will tell.

I've posted a sort of trip report. A link to some pictures is at the top of this thread if anyone cares to check:

....yeah, I just HATE it when I can't get my enregy.... :rolleyes1

Morning all! Doing the fun waiting until people show up to measure our door.

Suzanne, I would be tired after all that too! I had to laugh at your Thinkpad comment. My wireless is dead in mine (external card though) and it is a bit slow. I don't care about size all that much. I have a 15" now that is meant as a desktop replacement. It's super heavy! So anything I get will be smaller now matter what and will have internal wireless!

Fortunately we have a while to decide what it is best. I don't need it, but I'm trying to get away from keeping this machine on so much upstairs. Though we will need a new one when traveling.

Lily, sorry about the false positive, but at least there is good news with that in the end! I hope it will help you in the end. Woo hoo for trip pics... I will look after I post!

Aww Tara  take it easy if you can! I can only imagine how busy you must be! Good luck with testing!

Morning Kimmar!

Morning!

Have had a busy couple days. Never even made it on the computer yesterday.

Its been HOT here. Rain is coming, though, along with cooler temps.

 and mad love to all!!

.... Morning - can't wait to hear about the new door..... :thumbsup2

Door man came... pretty standard installation will occur. We have to get a door jam kit due to the plaster walls, but nothing too terrible really. I do have to pick up new trim too. Can you believe in a 60 year old home (well 59 really) they never once replaced the door? No wonder it is cracked and the like.

Anywho...

Sherry, been hot here too, but honestly I've been loving it. We're supposed to cool down this weekend though :(

Doing laundry and kitchen stuff. We're grilling tonight for supper :)

Elaine - I a-door your new entry door. It reminds me of a practical joke that I played on Sue last month. I told her that I thought that as part of our garage beautification project, we should replace the plain old steel entry door with a six panel door. I could tell that she wasn't convinced. So off I went on the internet, searching for just the right door. This is what I found:
door0.jpg

Of course, it was the wrong color. I took care of that too:

So when Sue came home that evening, this is what she saw:
door1.jpg

Looks nice, doesn't it? But if you look closely, you can see what I did:
door2.jpg

Sixteen sheets of 11x17 copier paper and a roll of Scotch brand adhesive tape. What I really wanted to do was to faux paint the door, but I am talentless in that department. The faux paper entry door stayed up for about a week, but eventually I was "asked" to remove my artwork. The least Sue could have done was to let me leave it up for the graduation party, dontcha think?

Women say that, but they don't really mean it. ;)

TC, you are a complete nutcase :rotfl:
Sue has no appreciation for your fine eye of home decorating!

Hi all....

Ever feel like the coffin lid has been atached and you are just waiting for the last nail to be secured?

It seems as though my days of working from home are limited....I have been asked to attend a meeting tomorrow am. I have been told that "things do not look good" and it's up to me to change things. Honestly I don't know what else can be done. I asked what would happed to those of us that are unable to go into the office to work our allotted shifts (most of my staff have small children) and basically was told if unable to go in to work their shifts they would be out of a job - once the decision is made by the office the change would occur within 2 weeks. I am sick to my stomach - Ifeel liek it's barely worth going in to discuss - teh powers that be have already made up their minds.

I don't know what I;m going to do as my doctor has already told me there is n o way I can sit and type for extended lengths of time and sonce I have done customer service work for almost 20 years I have no idea where to turn....Right now I'm working on sending all my pictures that I have loaded on my computer to my home e-mail.

Thanks for listening.....

Okay, there are no shortage of them on the Internet but

do any of you have a plum jelly recipe that you personally recommend?

John :rotfl: I love it :teeth:
I think you should've kept that up during the party on Sunday. And i agree, a new paneled door would look lovely there! I even like the red, though I plan to do our door in red.

Paula  I am so sorry about work. I will keep you in my prayers. If you need me, you know how to find me. I noticed my IM was invisible (I have NO CLUE how that one happened) so feel free to find me at any time now! Hang in there

Yard work taken care of. Shortly I will go to HD to figure out the trim and a few other things for outside :)
