Hi y'all! Been busy finishing up the cat perch today. Cleo is sitting on top enjoying it quite a bit. It does have twine on it for "scratching" but I know my girls won't need it for that. Just easier to do that than try to sand down and make that wood look nice

Tara, I hope y'all hade fun today at BG! I cannot believe your little one is already two!! Amazing how time does fly!

Welcome back Lily! I am sorry you aren't in good shape though. I'll be excited to hear about the trip once you feel up to it

Sherry, your supper sounded yummy! I think we are having chicken tomorrow at my dad's. Though, I'm pretty sure it will be bbq chicken and grilled corn... we're also having mac & cheese, some potato salad and lots of brownies I hope your cookout tonight was fun!

Suzanne, sorry about the friends being there. I think that would bother me too. However, I do admit there are times I don't tell my cousin about going to FL when I go. She's a dear, but she can be very high maintenance when she goes. She won't do anything really in the parks, unless she get$ $ome $sort of help Hopefully it wasn't anything they meant bad by that. Glad you enjoyed Cape May though! I've only been for breakfast myself

Nancy, I don't own the Pal Mickey, but Beth and I played with Dave's one trip. Honestly I didn't care for him and didn't think he'd be worth the $$$$. Dave loves him though I guess. I just don't need one more thing to carry myself and his jokes were terrible!

I've got a Pal Mickey. He's cute. That said, I'm glad I was able to get him at the backstage store when I had the chance-otherwise, I wouldn't have one.

Kimmar, thanks! I've had them for a while, finally put them in the vase. Figured I'd save the red, white and blue for July.

Lainey, they called me back at 10 last night, I was taking one of the younguns to the restroom, so I didn't have the phone. When I called back to make plans, they already had plans for the morning-so I told them to call me when things were figured out. Still haven't got a call back. Whatever. I'm over it. It's just on top of feeling like I'm a pet sitter and not a friend to the other these days. Ugh.

We ended up at Home Depot and got a different green for Kevin's room. More a pistachio now. I also looked at the crown moulding to see what I can do here. I hate the popcorn ceiling garbage!

Gotta pull stuff out of the freezer for tomorrow. I think we're going to grill in the early afternoon and veg in the evening.

Suzanne, sorry about the friends. I had a friend who I did a ton for with her wedding. As soon as the wedding was over, I hardly heard from her. I figure that there are some people who needs friends to do things for them, and there are other friends who just are there because they are simply friends. I try my best to be the latter. I know how it makes you feel when some are the former.

We are possibly going to Home Depot as well tomorrow. Since we hate knocking out huge amounts of cash all at once, I think we are going to look at front doors. 1 year same as cash on doors. I'm there

I have a feeling, like many here, I'll be busy tomorrow. So I hope y'all have a positively wonderful Memorial Day!

So.....if you were going to WDW for the very first time ever and might never go back again, would you want a Pal Mickey? Or would you enjoy one? I am thinking about getting that for my friend, Kathy for our trip ) ......a Christmas present.
Or should I stick with the idea of a pedicure before we go?

I have those antenna toppers too....and the umbrella and shirt too

My patriotic Mickey is on my antenna now until July 5th.

Back from BG....man are we tired. It seemed like everyone and their brother in the state of virginia was there today!! We waited an hour from the time we got on the exit ramp until we got parked. Then waited an hour in line for a couple of hamburgers. Waited in line for 45 minutes to get soda refills and funnel cakes. Waited 1 minute to ride the silly kid rides!!

Overall it was a glorious day. I'll get the pics done later as I'm exhausted. I took a bunch of Ethan riding rides so I have those to show.

Going to get the last wall painted tomorrow so I've got to get some sleep so that I can work all day tomorrow!

Thanks for the birthday wishes for Ethan. Now when you ask him how old he is he shouts TWO. Its very cute!!

Happy Memorial Day, everyone! And a Happy belated Birthday to the E-man!! Managed to get to church and ring bells for service yesterday, then we had a picnic at the clubhouse here at our complex. I know I dozed off and on all day Friday, but I'm not sure what happened to Saturday! It's back to work for me today, but I've given myself a reduced schedule all week--no more than 5 hours a day. Shouldn't be a problem as the leg is improving every day.

Sorry about the so-called friends, Suzanne. Hope you had a good time with the others, anyway. I love that kinda pistachio green color! Is Kevin's room the one done with the Poly furniture? I'm thinking it would look great with that green.

Glad you had a good time at BG yesterday, Tara. Yeah, the waiting really gets on my nerves, too. So bad that I'm not even interested in going to King's Dominion anymore. What's the sense when you have to wait 2 hours to get on a ride? 4 rides and it's about time to head for home. What a waste!! Looking forward to seeing those pix and ones of the painting, too! Glad to hear things are working out a bit better with your bro.

Nancy, I think Kathy would really like the Pal Mickey. Especially since this is her first and maybe only time to go to WDW. Yeah, the jokes are stupid, and yeah, he gets to be a pain to carry around the parks, but it will go a long way to keeping her anticipation at a fever pitch!!! Just remember, when Mickey asks "What goes zub-zub-zub" the answer is "a bee flying backwards!"

A new front door, eh, Laine?! One of those really, really pretty ones with the huge oval etched glass window? I absolutely love those! Unfortunately, in a condo, I seriously doubt we would ever get any such thing. Hope you find a really great deal!

Karen, I really, really think you need to come to WDW in October, again! We're planning to dress up for MNSSHP, too--something outlandish and over the top, of course!! It sounds to me like there are an awful lot of people who want you, even Scotty expects you to be back again before the Christmas trip! Can't let Scotty down, now, can you??!!

Time to get my things together and doctor up a cup of coffee to go with. Have a wonderful day bbq-ing and visiting with friends and family! Mad, mad love all around!!

We did our HD run today. Got paint for later, edging stones for the summer and ordered the door. The people will have to come measure first and hopefully w/in a week or two we'll have a new door!

Funny you mentioned that, Beth! We did get an oval, but a 3/4 oval intead of full oval. I'll find a pic later on

I agree with Beth, a Pal Mickey would be fun for Kathy!!!! And she can play with him before hand too!

happy afternoon all!!

sounds like everyone is having a good weekend. hooray!!

I've got the big cabinets moved, the last 1/3 of the only wall that hadn't been painted and now the big wall is primed. We have no kitchen to speak of since everything is sitting in the kitchen. So we are going to grab a bite, hit the grocery store for some easy fixin' food and then paint the wall tonight. Should be done by tonight. then i figure I can stop by Lowe's tomorrow and pick up the wood to do the door frame. My goal is to have that done by the weekend!! yeah right!!

While mom gets her shower I'm goiing to try and up load the pix now so we may have photos soon!!

I've got some pics ready to post. I will complete the task upon my return. I've got another procedure today--other end this time, endoscopy. I have to be there at 11:00. Not as late as you Beth, but I'm sure gonna be ready for something to drink after for sure.

Good morning all! Getting a bit pathetic about my computer so I didn't bother coming on last night. My Trillian won't stay connected at the moment and my laptop is no longer wireless.

I had a discussion with my hubby. He wants to get me a Dell... I want an IBM... we'll see who wins.

Tara, good luck finishing up the kitchen! I will eventually get ours done. The whole fridge thing is still an issue for me. I don't want to wait on Luis, but I don't want to not paint behind the fridge.

Lily, good luck with the procedure today. I will keep you in my prayers.

Not sure what I am up to today... lots to clean since I wan't home much this weekend to do it

Good morning everyone.....

It was a quiet holiday weekend here. Jeffrey got just about all of his garden planted and brewed beer yesterday. I worked 7am - 2pm both Sunday and Monday so it was nice to just chill at night. Watched "Kingdom of Heaven" - it was good but I must admit I had a hard time following it - guess I need to brush up on my history - also - it being during the crusades I kept thinking of Monty Python and had to refrain from giggling.

Both kids were gone just about all weekend. I wanted to ask Chris if he and his friends did anything special to honor his late friend but I figured it should be private - I don't know how kids feel about cemeteries. Also found out this weekend that Alyssa and Ryan are still talking. He actually called here Sunday night looking for her because she wasn't picking up her cell. I talked to him for a while - gosh I can't help but feel bad for the kid - he just wants her back so badly. Jeffrey actually talked to Alyssa about it yesterday - he told her that she needs to decide - she told him she needs time.....

Speaking of Alyssa....her 19th birthday is Monday June 5 - I'm thinking jewelry - any suggestions?

LOL, Kimmar, we'll see... Luis gets a discount from Dell with work. The average work station for IBM is far superior to Dell... that's why they cost more though.

Nancy, glad that Dave has had good luck with Dell. I'm highly turned off from them in the last year or two. Some IBMs aren't that great, but some are awesome... *sigh* I probably don't even need a new one, but I would like to turn this computer off upstairs more often.

Paula, sorry I missed your IM... it wasn't working that great so I shut down my computer for a while. I'll try you later if we are both online atthe same time.

JUst got a call from my lawyer - regarding the car accident - he now wants me to be evaluated by an orthopedic doctor (I've been treated by a chiropractor since the accident but the drivers insurance company won't accept that). Already made the appt - fhr next Thursday. I still get alot of nect and shoulder pain - often get pain/numbness right down my left arm.
I'm seeing the same doctor that did my husband's shoulder surgery - he was very pleased with him.

Good afternoon all. It seemed a little quiet around our house on Sunday. It was the first time in 5 years that we didn't have a picnic for our DIS friends. We did have a DIS visitor on Monday as EpcotKilterFan dropped by to loan us her canopy for the big graduation party this Sunday. But I have to admit that I missed having the kids and adults over to premiere the latest Barry video, to make microwave s'mores, and everything else inbetween.

I hope that all of you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. You are all invited over next Sunday for the graduation party (noon to 10PM). We're having tacos, believe it or not.

M'Cori got a new Dell a couple months ago....loves it.
Geoff got his new Dell a few days ago....about the same as M'Cori's.
They are gaming machines so have all the "good" stuff on them

I had fun....again at Costco. Not sure if is a good thing having one built closer

so very quiet in here these days of course, all the server busy messages probably aren't helping.
