Not ROFR thread - general discussion

Why is all the DVC Owner stuff you can buy on the Disney Store so dated? I don't even think they have Riviera stuff, let alone newer resorts. Plus it just isn't very good looking. Don't they know DVC owners would probably buy fun DVC stuff?
Totally agree.
Those customizable stuff has been on the Disney Store since at least 2018.... They haven't added or changed anything. They did take out the luggage tags.
The customizable shirts are very poor quality.

Wait, so nobody actually migrated here from the ROFR park transit debate? :/

Having gotten (politely) reminded to stay on topic, I resisted commenting there, but I have to say it: walking from BLT to MK to take a bus to BW to walk to IG is crazy. Personally, if I was staying there, I’d just take a ride share straight to the front of the park. It’s faster and unless you’re going to the area between UK and Germany, it’s likely less walking too!

You beat me to it!

As long as Disney keeps ride shares & non-hotel guest personal vehicles from going to hotels that people are using solely as a theme park entrances then I am fine.

I also think there should be a increasing penalty for people who no-show a reservation at a dining establishment near a theme park entrance because it directly impacts the livelihood of the cast members working in that restaurant.

Hadn’t thought about if from the perspective of staff/cast— but it also makes it more annoying for people actually staying on property to get reservations!

I do think this is a difference between IG (which is open to anyone) and the VGC/PP (RIP) entrances at Disneyland. Shouldn’t literally anybody be able to take an uber to either the Boardwalk dropoff point (surely there is one?) or the Swan/Dolphin?

I guess I’m crazy! 😎 Most of the time, we’re not doing it to save time, We’re doing it to waste time…well, not really waste. But just enjoy the overall bubble and see things we wouldn’t normally get to if we were taking the most direct route.

But there have been several occasions where we’ve done early entry at AK and finished before the park-to-park buses started - so we’ve taken the bus to the Contemporary and walked to MK.

I’m curious - is this different/better than the BWV>IG example? Is the concern that we’re using resort buses other than our own (by the way, I have heard Cast Members encourage this at times) or specifically using them to get to the IG?

As I believe someone said - once HS opens, the skyliner to IG is fair game for anyone with a park hopper to use for IG entry so I’m not understanding the outrage. 🤷‍♀️
