Morning, all!

Got back around 9 last night. Had a good couple of days up north, but glad to be home and off for five days. Funny story to relate. Had the today show on Tuesday am and was SHOCKED to see it was 20 degrees out. Looked out at my car and there wasn't any frost on it (I left all the ice scrapers in Maryland, btw!). Get into the car an hour later and it's 35 degrees. Okay, it warmed up 15 degrees in an hour-Florida weather is weird, that could happen.

The next morning, I have the Today show on again-21 degrees on the screen. Then I found out that the NBC affiliate I'm watching is from Atlanta! Geez, only 5 hours north of where I am, lol! Why not Jacksonville, Orlando or Tampa-all two hours away?!! It was pretty funny.

Anywho, here's to a looooong ketchup, because there's 10 pages to go through.

Kim, lots of closet "Princess Bride" fans out there, I find. I'm so bad I can recite whole stretches of the movie, lol!

Lily, very cool pictures! You have an amazing array of lime green shirts, girl! Bravo on doing the marathon!

BTW, I called my lender Monday night with the fax number at the hotel. My rep called me promptly at 9 the next morning, faxed it to me and I got it back right away. Once again, I'm happy with the lender, not happy with the ding dong that sold me the house(but like the builder otherwise).

Kristy, I'm sure you'll find a way to display the toppers-one of the people at the store I just came from hangs them from her rearview mirror. I hesitate to think that Mickey had his ears pierced for that one!

Bethie, are you enjoying your snow? Was hearing from Maryland and Long Island, and the parties involved were not as happy as you to see white stuff!

Liz, okay, will order up the nice weather for Greg's visit, just make sure he doesn't watch NBC from ATLANTA while he's at Aunt Helen's! Tell him to get a house guide and he'll surely want to move-prices are really good, and that's even with the amount they've gone up in the past five years.

Karen, valerian works great for sleepy time. That lavendar you have works well, too. Now, if you need to wake up, rosemary works like a charm. Yep, I have a bunch of essential oils from my tenure at Bath and Body works, and those all were my faves. I've got a backpack that I've been using for many years that has seen some rough use-it's from Northface, I think. It went through three years of college and goes travelling with my everywhere. Once I dig it out, I'll let you know, because it sounds like the boys need something like it.

Ohhh, now I want Chinese food for lunch, thanks Caroline! At least we've got a good place here. We tried another one and it was beyond bad. Spoiled former NY'er here, I'm sooo picky about it.

Happy birthday, Nancy...sorry I missed it! I wanted to go see Coach Carter while I was away, but it's 2 1/2 hours long and it was showing at 10:30!

Susie, I love your 'one size fits all' ketchup! You can save that one and use it when you don't have time to post!

Tara, I didn't send the sinus headache. Mine disappeared right after Christmas season was over, so someone else gained it around 12/28. That's retail for ya!

Okay, I caught up to page 272...I'll be back later. Gotta run a few errands before the boys get home from school.

Suzanne

Hi.

I must know... why was Luke Perry in heels?!

...and I just realized and now am incredibly curious... why do you think all those snack chip thingies end in "tos"? Good thing it's not spelled t-o-e-s. Chee-toes. Hmmm... must come from po-tay-TOES. Boil'em, mash'em, stick'em in a stew. Sorry. LOTR outburst. They're difficult to control at times.

What'd ya buy today Nancy!? I wanna hang with Nancy. She does fun stuff!

Hi there Paula! It's good to see you again! You have a YaYa in your home! :p Too cute!

Pina Colada's for Caroline!! Woooo!! One of my favorites!! Have a great weekend and I hope the fuzzies have fun with Grandma and Grandpa! Hey... ya know, it's pretty cool having our own meterologist. I do think that makes the YaYas pretty darn special. :)

Princess Bride is simply an excellent movie! Timeless!! Another one, similar in quality and timelessness (in our house, anyway) is "That Thing You Do". So sweet!!

Ugh... I hope all of the YaYa phone and computer problems are ironed out soon!

Karen, got my fingers crossed for you! I second what Beth said... have you talked to a dr. about the patch?

Atlanta affiliate.... snork!!! :p

No interesting weather to report here. Sun comes up, sun goes down. That's about it. :)

Gack!!! I was going to reply, ubt then I saw Kimmie's sig!!!!! Not those skater dudes again? :faint:

Speaking of which, I am way behind on PMs :o

...I'm stumped! THAT'S not ham :sad2: in yer siggie!! (perhaps, 'Ham Lite'??!?!?!)

Hi everyone!

Just saying hi this afternoon.

JellyrollsKaren

Hi Ya Yas!
Was so busy yesterday. I missed ya.
Not much of a ketchup done yet.
I just hava a request of Fantasia Caroline--Our Ya Ya Weather Goddess....give everyone else the snow for a bit. THEY WANT it!

Thanks you, back later...

Gack!!! I was going to reply, ubt then I saw Kimmie's sig!!!!! Not those skater dudes again?
Where?!? :cloud9:

Speaking of which, I am way behind on PMs
Yes... you are.

Ham lite, snicker snerk!!! :p Is it better now? Deluxe ham AND ham lite.

Hi Karen, hi Lily

:wave2:

Haven't felt too good the past couple days, so haven't been able to ketchup.

Junior goes to the dr. today to discuss the results of his tests and to finally see what his restrictions will be. We should also find out if they have work for him at the plant.

 for everyone!!

What a moanin!! We had snow last night so the entire town came to a dead halt...no joke...just like people in Kristy's neck o' the woods took 6 hours to get home...ours took about 3. My usual trip only took me about 45 minutes but that is b/c I swerved off and went a different way! Normally it takes me about 25 minutes but there was an accident on the road leading to the main road!

Now they are predicting this same stuff for tonight and again on Saturday and Sunday. We came in 2 hours late today because of the roads. The schools in the surrounding cities (norfolk, portsmouth, chesapeake) all stayed home today. They were silly because there was no reason to stay home!

Compozine...had it one time when I had a migraine that put me in the hosp. with symptoms of a stroke...instead of feeling sleepy..I became a paranoid schhizoprenic...I ended up ripping the iv out of my arm...was backed into the corner in the room like a caged wild animal. The stupid doc thought I was just being stupid b/c I didn't want the spinal tap they were going to do. Turns out that this is one of the RARE side effects of the damn drug. But he was too stupid to catch that it was the med making me nuts. Turned out it was just a migraine with extra severe symptoms.

TV stations from other cities...boy that would really freak you out!! You need to talk to that cable company!!

Root canal...yuck!!

Ham...I don't recognize the second picture of the ham

if you're sick feel better!!

Okay, I've been working on this for two hours. I wanted to find some cool smileys to add in and I can't find a program to give me some smileys to use :(

back later!
tara

Now that I am done picking on Kimmie for a while ;) I'll do a real post :p

Bethie, the worst part about the drivers is that they all move down to Florida too when they can no longer "stand" the weather, so we get stuck seeing them there too when we vacation
Good luck with the storm... sounds like you are getting what the very southern part of Ohio is expecting!

Suzanne, glad you had a good time up north. Amazing how a few hours away can have such different weather than you! Glad to hear that everything with the lender is all worked out too!

Kim said:
Boil'em, mash'em, stick'em in a stew.

:rotfl:
I was thinking that even before I saw it typed out :teeth:

:wave2: Howdy Kimmar and JRKaren!

Oh and Caroline, I second what Lily said about the snow ;)

Sherry, hope you feel better soon and I do hope you hear good news!

Tara, good luck dealing with the snow... sounds like y'all have trouble with it too!

Welll I am getting very tired for some reason. I do wish I could go home and sleep for a while, but I have cookies to make tonight and I have choir practice. Actaully off to look up an icing recipe. I think I want to ice the sugar cookies instead...

Lainey apparently you can take your cookies just about anywhere in YaYaville to be iced..y'all are getting lots of snow!

It's ironic that y'all are discussing the Princess Bride. I picked up a DVD of it in the grocery store this week. I have never purchased a video/DVD at the grocery store, but that's the first time I have come across it and had to get it.

We watched about half of it last night. ;)

I'm back. The kids are doing homework, I'm stuffed from the Peking Shrimp and ready to ketchup on the rest of the mothy yaya business for the past two days!

Infrared mouse here. Finally, not having the mouse lock up every couple of months!

Kim, had the laser disc, which ex jerko took along with him. It was on the list of movies that had to come out on DVD before I'd get the player, but I still had to wait two years.

Cool! Congrats to KristaTX for getting that far. I'm looking forward to getting over to MGM and actually being able to get into the hot seat. (until recently, I had to decline). I think most of us would have blown that question, lol!

Pammy, an inflata suit, huh? Too funny about your hot tub incident.

WMPenny's project sounds good, but not sure if we'll participate yet. We visited once the second week of June (kinda nice, it poured all week and we loved it). And once in August (too hot, but really cheap trip-the Marriott 20.03 rate). I'm sure we will be around for some of it.

Hiya, Alan! Thought of ya the other night-I dined at Cracker Barrel and saw a big box of Moon Pies. Tempted to get them for DH, but we both agree that after the leg surgery, we're gonna start dieting.

Tara, house goes well, TDS as well. I spent three days helping another store, so that was fun. First time working more than a few hours in a pink and green, and I thought I'd hate the glass shelves, but they're not so bad. Uh oh, mobile kid! Love that stage, it may get you a workout, though!

Bethie, if you're listening to WTOP, they're supposed to do traffic and weather reports every ten minutes, mdear! Keep me posted on a BG meet, I mentioned to my Sis that I'd love to meet them up there for a weekend!

Nancy, if it didn't cost so darn much to send, we've got tons of stuff Christin could use, lol! It's all piled in the boxes to be listed on Ebay

Karen, girlie, you NEED to quit smoking. If I can be your quit smoking cheerleader, I will be. Lost too many loved ones due to smoking. That's where most of my health issues stem from (second hand smoke).

Caroline, that station from Atlanta had a weatherman who was taking a long time to explain an Alberta Clipper yesterday morning. It was pretty funny to me, since I'd been hearing about them since I can remember watching the weather, lol! Guess the southerners aren't used to that expression.

Luke Perry in a feather boa and stilettos? Was he trying to be Frank N Furter? Cuz no one can do that better than Tim Curry!

Lainey, you'd get by without internet for a day. I did for three, lol! I read two books, had a nice leisurely dinner, and watched American Idol. And if I'd bothered to upgrade windows on my laptop, I would have had free broadband in the hotel (they specialize in business travelers).

Alan, you are a wise man, picking up that movie.

Okay, so I'm caught up. Once the youngest is done with Spy Kids, off to Costco we go!

Suzanne

Forgot to mention Princess Bride earlier... I agree with Kimmie and how she views it! I love that movie, and so much of it is so easily quotable! Such a sucker for "As you wish"

of course Cary Elwes' monologue to Prince Humperdinck about to the pain is classic too

fingers are half numb here... shoveling and other such... but those cookies are calling my name so I best get at it soon.

Alan... thanks for your help ;)

Great ketchup there Suzanne!!!!! Oh and I will say I actually went about 3 or so days w/o internet over NYE weekend. I'll go for even more when we go on our cruise

really need to go now... see y'all later :)

Suzanne is in the right neighborhood, wrong house on the Luke Perry thing. I saw Luke Perry in "The Rocky Horror Show" on Broadway, but he wasn't Frank N Furter. He was actually Brad. And he was horrible in it. The man can not sing, and I don't think I'll ever get the image of him dressed like that out of my head.

JellyrollsKaren

:moped:Pardon me - coming through with an EIOP post!!

Kimmie!!! :faint:
I love you!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen - that DIVINE piece of "ham" is my sweet baloo - Kip Carpenter - Olympic Speedskater Medalist!

I :worship: you Kimmie!!!! You are a Goddess! I'm not worthy, I'm not worthy!! :worship:

Oh - and JRKaren - did you help get the emoticon limit raised??? :cool1:

Aren't they purty!?! :cloud9: The countdown begins, Pammy! One year from now, our guys will be doing their thang in Italy! Olympic (short track) trials are in Mich. this year. Sigh. I wanna goooooo!

when twitfaceddorkylover gets off my back
Nevah!

Tara, you're looking for additional smilie sites to use here on the Dis? I've got a few, but I'm not sure that's what you meant. Lemme' know if you'd like the links. :)

To the pain! I love that part!!!

Prince Humperdink: I don't think I'm quite familiar with that phrase

Wesley: I'll explain. And I'll use small words so that you'll be sure to understand, you warthog-faced buffoon.

:p

Ack! Wild weather for so many YaYas!! :scared:

Luke Perry in Rocky Horror?! Huh. Interesting casting. :scratchin

Hey everyone.

So far so good with the higher dose. Didnt give my tummy a chance to get upset this morning LOL. Tara what a scary expeience you had with the Compazine. Wow oh wow. I am so sorry that happened to you and that the doc didnt realize what was going on. Thankfully it works for me and doesnt make me sleepy, dopey, or wild. I always carry it with me because with my IBS Im never sure when Im gonna have bad tummy upset.

Suzanne should I get some Valarian oil? What do I do with it? I have lavender oil and I have several lavender scented things around the house like a diffuser and a candle. I also spray my pillow with pillow spray in Lavender from B&BW. I would love the name of the backpack. My kids go through them like they are made of paper. I would love it if you would be my stop smoking cheerleader. I need all the support I can get. My quit time is midnight on Friday...tomorrow.

I cannot use the patch because I am highly allergic to the adhesive they use. It actually blisters and pulls my skin off. The gum is out because it upsets my stomach too much. You have to be very careful with it because otherwise it will make you very very sick. I do have the nicotrol inhaler but Im trying to quit without using any form of nicotine. Harder way to do it but the nicotine gets out of your system faster and then it's just a matter of changing habits.

Another one who can do lines from the Princess Bride here. LOL. I don't have it on DVD yet but we have seen it on cable more times than I can count.

I swear Im getting old. It's 9:04 and Im totally exhausted and can't keep my eyes open anymore. Sorry this is so EOIP but I wanted to answer a couple of things that were asked. I will try hard to catch up tomorrow morning before work.

HUGS TO ALL!!!

Just put the final batch of cookies in the oven. Managed to get just about 2 dozen done so far, and about 18 cookies are iced sugar cookies. Luis had only one ;)

I don't know where my life goes on Thursdays... just got back from church and got suckered into singing the same thing I sang last week, this week. At least this week I feel a lot more confident about it :p

Luke Perry as Brad????? I don't see it!!!! Not at all!!!!! Wow.......

Pam *sigh* What to do wiht you... and I swear you do not help Kimmie at all with her speed skater obsession

Kimmie said:
Zippit!

But you did the beginning and I have to finish it Kimmie...

Wrong! Your ears you keep, and I'll tell you why. So that every shriek of every child at seeing your hideousness will be yours to cherish, every babe that weeps at your approach, every woman who cries out: "Dear God, what is that thing?" will echo in your perfect ears. That is what "to the pain" means. It means I leave you in anguish, wallowing in freakish misery, forever

Love it all :teeth:

Karen, glad to hear that your stomach did okay today! And good luck quitting! I managed to do that years ago... cold turkey... urges come once in a blue moon even years later, but I am so glad I don't anymore.

Need to check on cookies :)

;moped:

No ketchup :(

Couch bought, papers signed, one load over. Need to get dinner and reload car for tomorrow.

No PMs tonight .....see ya all later.
