Elaine, mmmmm Cookies! I've been doing pretty good this week. Only had a couple way earlier this week. Now I think I am dun, dun, dun with the junk for a bit. Back to better choices; well at least today anyway.

Karen, hope you continue to improve with your health. Your quitting smoking can only help. Good luck with that. It is one habit I am glad I never acquired. Lost my dad to results of that--he was only 47. Also, stepdad had larengotomy (sp) he didin't quit in time. When he did quit it was cold turkey though. So I guess it can be done. You keep your mind on quitting. Look for other healthy choices.

Nancy, glad your things are progressing. I hope you are good with all this too. I guess it could be worse, it could be Hawaii.

Well when I said I would catch up in the morning I diidn't mean 3 AM. This is why I try never to go to bed early. Now Im awake.

Suzanne what do I do with the Valarian oil? Congrats on being able to get that pin at a good price and on having gotten the polo shirt at such a good price. Did ya have fun at Costco? LOL I love that place. Bug me all you want. I need the bugging. Okay? Thankfully I never smoked around my kids so they dont have the second hand smoke issue. I have always smoked outside and never in the house.

Amanda glad to hear the node in Mandy's neck is going down. Ooooooo chocolate chip cookies. I will have some. With quitting smoking Im not even gonna try to lose weight right now. There is no way I could do both at once.

Elaine you are very very right....the bad winter drivers come down here and become bad Florida drivers. We just had a lady whip out of a parking space and take down two people. They are both in critical condition. The woman who did it was near 80. Which of course sparks the debate here in Florida about how old is too old to drive. Congrats on being asked to sing again. What hymn are you doing?

Nancy try to take it easier sweetie. I worry about you overdoing it. Dont forget about you in all of this.

Well I think Im gonna lay down on the couch and try and get some more sleep. Dh has the music on in the bedroom so I cant turn the TV on and bore myself to sleep LOL. I guess there was a reason I was up at 3. My youngest had a very bad dream and thankfully I was up to calm him down. I put him in our room with us and he is sleeping away. I got more sleep too. Only reason Im up now is the alarm went off. Dh got right up though ROFL!!!

Have lots of errands to run this morning. Also have a stop at BaB planned. My nephew loved the boys bears (well, really a koala and a frog! LOL) so I'm gonna go get him one. Found a Spider-Man outfit, too, so he's gonna go nuts.

Karen...congratulations on taking the step to quit smoking I totally understand not worrying about the diet part for now, you can't make too many changes at once..it sets you up for failure. I know you can succeed at this!

Nancy...things seem to be going well in your house! You will need rest after all that planning and shopping

So tired today....would have loved to stay home and spend the snow day with the girls. Gotta keep my vacation for our Disney trip, birthdays, first day/last day of school and camping trips.

Lily, I have times like that with junk food... today will be one of them Not really a big deal though because *gasp* I am just not as into some of the sweet stuff as I used to be That and I can't eat near as much either

Amanda, I have my own chocolate chip cookies here and I do hope that people eat them... I don't want them in my house this weekend... especially with us being inside probably a good portion of it.

Suzanne, I couldn't imagine not being able to wear a bandaid... then again I am a klutz really and wear them far too often Glad you made out so well with your Mary Poppins stuff!

Karen, sorry you were up so early (but glad for your DS) I hate when that happens. I really do feel bad that y'all get our bad drivers... really. I'll hush though... but be glad you don't have to deal with those people in the snow Oh it's not a hymn I'll be singing (for those with any Catholic or similar upbringings) it is the Gospel Acclamation. Nice and jazzy... amuses me that I am doing it again though for many reasons. Oh well...

Junior will be on permanent restriction for the rest of his life. He goes to the plant today to see if there is any work for him.

Good morning everyone!

It is soooooo cold outside today. The weatherbug on my computer says it is one degree out right now. Brrrrrr. On my walk from the bus to the office, my legs were so cold they hurt. I want warmth, and I want it now. And we're supposed to get 8-14 inches of snow Saturday night into Sunday. Caroline, do something about this! I don't like it. It's all your fault.

Karen, good luck with quitting smoking. You'll feel so much better when you do. My dad has been smoking since he was 12, and continues to smoke even after having part of a lung removed due to cancer. You should hear his coughing fits!

Elaine, have a good meal at the Cheesecake Factory! I got takeout from there yesterday (orange chicken), and I'm having the leftovers for lunch today. Yum

Sherry, I hope they have a job for Junior at the plant. Sending good thoughts out for him.

Amanda, I hope Mandy is continuing to improve.

In the spirit of January resolutions, how 'bout some sort of exercise/crunches, arm circles, ummmm shimmy and shake like hula style, ummmm anything but those dreaded cigs to replace your urges. You could be high steppin' your way all over the town!

Chicken Lo Mein and Orange Peel Chicken.
Lo Mein was okay, but very unimpressive. Orange was nasty!!
We love Chinese food too.......maybe that comes from it being a chain.
We are used to our little local place that is run by....ummm....Chinese people
Also, didn't like that they only serve family style. I like combinations

Christin's apartment is in an area with a lot of Asian places, so we will try one out today
