My neighbor came over to interrupt me while I was mowing earlier. She wanted to ask if Tyler would like to bring in their mail, feed their cat, water their plants, and empty the litter box while they're gone for 2 weeks and she'll pay him. Of course he'd need lots of help from me, which is fine. Well, while we were standing there talking, she noticed tons and tons of bees all over the ground, just hovering and flying in circles. She thinks that I apparently have ground bees and my mowing got them all riled up. Yikes! I ran inside for the remainder of my Raid can and started shooting at them as they flew by. :rotfl2: I know I must have looked funny doing this to the other neighbors who had no idea what was going on. :rotfl: Eventually I ran out of Raid. I only see a couple more bees though, so I think I'm going to go finish mowing when it starts to get dark. I'll go buy more Raid tomorrow and attack them again. It was actually quite fun because the can shoots up to 20 feet away, so I don't have to get close to them. I felt like I was target shooting or something. :lmao:

Reminds me of Luke Skywalker training in the Millenium Falcon rying to hit a moving ball with a light saber while wearing a blindfold.:lmao:

We're leaving early in the morning and boy am I ready! It has been a hell of a week. Tuesday morning I checked in the hospital to have a lump removed from my breast. It turned out ok but boy am I sore!. They put a medal chip in so they can moniter the area - so I figure with my luck I will set the alarms off at the airport in the morning. I have 6 butterfly thingys instead of stitches. At least it is waterproof. Then today our dog was supposed to have surgery but when the vet did the ultrasound he suggested putting him to sleep. So the way things are going this week I hope I don't miss my plane tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a good couple of weeks! I will probably check in, but we are not taking computers with us.

 Sorry!
Sounds like you need this trip.

I am skimming through here to see if anyone answered you and find your post that you got your own answer. Keep us posted on the project for Tyler. It sounds great.:thumbsup2 Is the picture of Bobby's passport posted there?

ANGIE--DENNIS: Any pictures of Bobby's current adventures? Driving the motorhome? Exploring Montana?

Jan :earsgirl:
No picture of his passport, but maybe I'll try to find that one. I know it was posted somewhere. :thumbsup2 I did one of these photo books after Tyler's 4th birthday party because it was a major deal (the firestation brought a firetruck) and definitely one to remember! I also did one of their hardcover books of our Sept. '05 cruise. He often has me "read" that one to him as a bedtime book. I definitely need to do one for this cruise. It's nice because there's room to add a description under each picture, a choice of a few different layouts, and I don't have to worry about pictures falling out of the book because they're printed on. We love the idea!

Oh my gosh, this vacation couldn't be coming at a better time. Sorry you had such an awful week. Glad the lump turned out OK, but so sorry about your dog.

:rotfl2: Jan, that's probably exactly what I looked like! Maybe next time I'll add a few moves, maybe a spin or two, and a jump here and there, shoot the spray through my legs, really throw myself into it. :rotfl:

OK, I'm loaded up with 2 new cans of Raid. And (darn that hardware store for selling junk food) plenty of snacks as reward when the mission is accomplished. Off to finish the deed before mosquitos come out. Maybe the scent of Raid in the air will keep them away too!

I'll feel better after a couple of weeks away. It doesn't help that dh keeps saying how happy the dog was thinking he was coming home.

Are they bees or yellow jackets?

It's probably in your siggy which I can't see after I clicked Quote... but what cruise are you going on????

Want to take us with you??? :worship:

Double Dip Western....the week of Thanksgiving. About 50 of us are going and there are still cabins. Some of our group have had to cancel due to health and the economy......

We pretty much drink and laugh for an entire week!!:cool1: :cool1:

Lisa, best wishes for Frank's surgery.

What a great opportunity for your girls, doing the mission work. I look forward to getting Tyler involved in something with our church when he's a bit older. They currently don't do anything with kids his age.

Enjoy the beach this weekend!

Well, Frank got through the surgery ... but they had a pretty hard time (guess I should not have been surprised) It was supposed to take about 1 and 1/2 hours.....took 4 hours. He is going to stay in the hospital for the weekend. He should be just fine!!

Once they were all done, I left for the beach and drove about 3 hours....there are 8 18-19 yearold here. I am staying out of there way. 1 Oxford student, 2 Uni of VA students, 3 VA Tech students, 1 George mason Student and 1 VA Commonwealth student.

Bertha (that hurricane that was CAT 3 but did nothi land) has caused the wave to be 8 feet and the rip tide to be HUGE!! The kids have had a lot of fun!!

Jackie, WOW. Thank goodness you are ok. Sounds pretty intense and scary. Take care of yourself.

And, I am going to second (and 3rd and 4th) this advice from Michelle....please make sure to see someone and make sure you truly are ok. Whether it be a DC, MD, ND or DO, get some xrays and exam to make sure. Too many times I see people years or months after an accident and they are suffering but thought they were ok so they didn't get any help at the time and but by then it is too late for medical through the accident. Worst case...you got checked out and truly did "bounce" through the accident and you are all good, but then you know!

Yes... get up off your wonderful little behind and do it!!! Go get checked out and let us know AFTER that you're ok:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Add some football and that's Thanksgiving everywhere!!!

Not caught up from last night yet, but wanted to fill you all in on my latest adventure.

I was in a car accident last night on the way home from work. Got hit by a red light running, DUI, hit and run dude. Rolled my car and I got up and walked away from the accident! SOMEONE was watching out for me, that's for sure. REMEMBER TO WEAR YOUR SEAT BELTS! The police did get the guy...he fled the car on foot but, I believe, walked back (I'm thinking in his state he panicked, then realized what he was doing.) I just have one bruise on my right hip area...from my seat buckle I think. Either that or my PassPorter flew around and hit me there.

I'm expecting I'll be pretty stiff tomorrow, that's for sure. Funny thing...my right hip and leg that had been bothering me all week....feels fine. I must have gotten a chiropractic adjustment in the tumble! :lmao:

The police woman who was with me through the whole process said I was so lucky that she wanted to go in a lottery ticket with me.

.....see, I just knew I should have stayed on the DIS a little bit longer yesterday evening......

OK, back to catch up .......

.

Jackie OMG, I am so glad you are okay......What a story....I am sure you will be stiff...don't hesitate to go to the doctor....you may need some help!!

I can send it or, better yet, post it here. It was on Bobby's thread too.

I went to the beginning of the thread and enjoyed reading it again. There are a lot of pictures on there that you might want to include in Tyler's book. Some may fit the story even if they were not taken on OUR cruise. Maybe the pictures of Bobby in Lansing can be included?

Bobby has a lanyard from the Indianapolis Speedway that holds his Passport perfectly.

On the inside there are some "sample" stamps and a REAL one from
IMS (Indianapolis Motor Speedway Foundation, Inc.!!)
Dates of visits so far have been logged in by hand.
