I haven't been on to check how everyone's been doing for a long time!

Did anyone watch the DCL special on Travel Channel last night?

I taped it......

We have been so busy this summer! Got a place for my mom to rent for a month in an "over 55" mobile home community in St. Cloud called Sugar Mill....it seems like a nice place to live, but the mobile homes are not what my mom would like.....she's been having trouble with high blood pressure and anxiety attacks at night....she has actually called 911 twice and gone to the emergency room!

She called me at 6 am the other day because of the attacks.....but she's starting to learn how to handle them herself....BUT she has to move over closer to me! Our next project is finding somewhere for her to live permanently....she's not ready for assisted living quite yet.

Also, we decide to do some re-decorating around here, and we were discussing painting our room, and Patrick pipes up that he wants his room painted RED! He likes the color of the accent wall in the family room, so we painted one wall barn red and the other walls a nice golden yellow....very cheerful! He love ist! We also got a daybed for the computer room to replace the old saggy futon we have had for 10 years....we are giving that to Mike for his new apartement at colled! Oh, boy, we can get rid of lots of stuff for him to take! Yeah!

Apparently, I bounced....

Jackie, WOW. Thank goodness you are ok. Sounds pretty intense and scary. Take care of yourself.

SO GLAD TO HEAR THAT YOU ARE OK... BUT... DID YOU GET YOURSELF CHECKED OUT???? IF NOT... PLEASE DO. EVEN IF YOU ARE JUST SORE. I "WALKED" AWAY FROM AN ACCIDENT 20 YEARS AGO BUT MY SORENESS ENDED UP BEING MUCH MORE!!!!

PLEASE GO AND GET CHECKED... PLEASE...

MAKE ME FEEL BETTER... AND EVERYONE ELSE... PLEASE?????????

I'M GONNA MAKE CHERIE COME AND DRIVE YOU TO THE DOCTOR...

And, I am going to second (and 3rd and 4th) this advice from Michelle....please make sure to see someone and make sure you truly are ok. Whether it be a DC, MD, ND or DO, get some xrays and exam to make sure. Too many times I see people years or months after an accident and they are suffering but thought they were ok so they didn't get any help at the time and but by then it is too late for medical through the accident. Worst case...you got checked out and truly did "bounce" through the accident and you are all good, but then you know!

OK, one more time, where is Bobby Banana's thread again? I'm doing a photo book on Kodak.com for Tyler with all of his pics with Bobby and I think there are some there that I don't have. Thanks! :thumbsup2

If it is not posted by the time I get home, I can easily look it up as I have it on my SUBSCRIPTION list.

I am at calling hours for another funeral.

Not caught up from last night yet, but wanted to fill you all in on my latest adventure.

I was in a car accident last night on the way home from work. Got hit by a red light running, DUI, hit and run dude. Rolled my car and I got up and walked away from the accident! SOMEONE was watching out for me, that's for sure. REMEMBER TO WEAR YOUR SEAT BELTS! The police did get the guy...he fled the car on foot but, I believe, walked back (I'm thinking in his state he panicked, then realized what he was doing.) I just have one bruise on my right hip area...from my seat buckle I think. Either that or my PassPorter flew around and hit me there.

.

Glad you are okay. With the huge storm last night, we saw a ton of accidents on the news.

In all the places we have lived, by far, the Valley has the most red light runners. I see one on almost a daily basis. You almost have to wait a few seconds to check to see if anyone is going to blow through. Of course then someone impatiently honks at you from behind.

Really glad to hear that you weren't severely injured.

Your response just told me where to look, so I found it! :thumbsup2 I never go to that User CP stuff, so I forget what's there. Thank you!

Tonight we'll see Lea Salonga at the Disney Concert Hall.

She won a Tony for her lead role in Miss Saigon, performed in Les Miserables, and was the singing voices of Mulan ("Reflection") and of Princess Jasmine ("A Whole New World").

Would love to see her perform on a cruise!

I'm expecting I'll be pretty stiff tomorrow, that's for sure. Funny thing...my right hip and leg that had been bothering me all week....feels fine. I must have gotten a chiropractic adjustment in the tumble! :lmao:

The police woman who was with me through the whole process said I was so lucky that she wanted to go in a lottery ticket with me.

.....see, I just knew I should have stayed on the DIS a little bit longer yesterday evening......

OK, back to catch up .......

Wow Woody, sounds like a great time. Enjoy! :goodvibes

Hi Deborah, you're up very late! Isn't it midnight for you?

My neighbor came over to interrupt me while I was mowing earlier. She wanted to ask if Tyler would like to bring in their mail, feed their cat, water their plants, and empty the litter box while they're gone for 2 weeks and she'll pay him. Of course he'd need lots of help from me, which is fine. Well, while we were standing there talking, she noticed tons and tons of bees all over the ground, just hovering and flying in circles. She thinks that I apparently have ground bees and my mowing got them all riled up. Yikes! I ran inside for the remainder of my Raid can and started shooting at them as they flew by. :rotfl2: I know I must have looked funny doing this to the other neighbors who had no idea what was going on. :rotfl: Eventually I ran out of Raid. I only see a couple more bees though, so I think I'm going to go finish mowing when it starts to get dark. I'll go buy more Raid tomorrow and attack them again. It was actually quite fun because the can shoots up to 20 feet away, so I don't have to get close to them. I felt like I was target shooting or something. :lmao:

Actually, I'm going to go buy another can of Raid first because I see one hovering around my mower. :scared: I think it's lurking, waiting for me to come back so it can get revenge.

You have good reason for your choice of favorite character!

So glad you can keep your sense of humor through this. Hoping tomorrow goes OK and you are not too stiff and sore.

Remember this Disney digital picture frame that was posted a while back on sale at Target?

http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/productDetail.do?oid=208877&cm_ven=COMPARISON%20SHOPPING&cm_cat=NEXTAG&cm_pla=DATAFEED->PRODUCTS&cm_ite=1%20PRODUCT&cm_keycode=92&om_keycode=92

I loaded it last night for Molly.

Here's my take:

First: It didn't have the Tinkerbell frame. It came with Hannah Montana and Another princess type that had "fairest of them all" wording on it

Next: It's easy to load, drag and drop technology. Came with some pre-loaded pictures that I did delete a few of. (Cars is not her thing) Loading new pictures was easy.

The quality of the screen isn't that great. If I bought this retail at ~$79.99 I would be disappointed, but on sale at $29.99 it was an ok deal. They still have them in stock at Target, not on sale.

Jan thanks for letting us know about the sale on them

Glad you're happy with them but it was not my "find". I am not a Target shopper. I think Holly found this one.:thumbsup2

Best wishes at finding a new place for your Mom. Do they have any Senior Communities with nursing home, assisted living and independent living in one campus or building? We have some and people can have whatever level of care they need.

Home redecoration sounds great! Glad Patrick likes his colors! :scared1: I am such an 80's girl--all off white walls and I am happy.

When the daughter of friends went to college in Cleveland she told her Dad that when his light turned green he should count 5 cars going through their own red before he should proceed.

A few months later we were at WDW and went to the Comedy Warehouse at Pleasure Island. One of the monologues included a bit about driving in Florida and how some people seem to point to their license plates and say "I'm from Cleveland" as if that makes it OK to go through red lights. :rotfl: We busted up.

I am skimming through here to see if anyone answered you and find your post that you got your own answer. Keep us posted on the project for Tyler. It sounds great.:thumbsup2 Is the picture of Bobby's passport posted there?

ANGIE--DENNIS: Any pictures of Bobby's current adventures? Driving the motorhome? Exploring Montana?

How about an e-mail to DCL? Sounds like she would be a "natural."

We're leaving early in the morning and boy am I ready! It has been a hell of a week. Tuesday morning I checked in the hospital to have a lump removed from my breast. It turned out ok but boy am I sore!. They put a medal chip in so they can moniter the area - so I figure with my luck I will set the alarms off at the airport in the morning. I have 6 butterfly thingys instead of stitches. At least it is waterproof. Then today our dog was supposed to have surgery but when the vet did the ultrasound he suggested putting him to sleep. So the way things are going this week I hope I don't miss my plane tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a good couple of weeks! I will probably check in, but we are not taking computers with us.
