Did Angie and Dennis ever post the picture of Bobby being eaten by the Towel Animal (I think it was a SHARK) it was so funny!! They had a stateroom across from ours, so they had us come see it. I have never seen a picture posted, but I have missed a lot.

Well, Frank got through the surgery ... but they had a pretty hard time (guess I should not have been surprised) It was supposed to take about 1 and 1/2 hours.....took 4 hours. He is going to stay in the hospital for the weekend. He should be just fine!!

Once they were all done, I left for the beach and drove about 3 hours....there are 8 18-19 yearold here. I am staying out of there way. 1 Oxford student, 2 Uni of VA students, 3 VA Tech students, 1 George mason Student and 1 VA Commonwealth student.

Bertha (that hurricane that was CAT 3 but did nothi land) has caused the wave to be 8 feet and the rip tide to be HUGE!! The kids have had a lot of fun!!

GOOD NEWS ABOUT FRANK!! Thanks for keeping us posted!

:scared1: RIP TIDE:scared: They are playing in the rip tide????

I hope they are all OK.

Are they bees or yellow jackets?
From all the checking I've been doing online about them, I believe they're yellow jackets. I just call them bees as a generic term for all buzzy/stingy nasty critters. ;) They look identical to the picture on the can of Raid that says wasps & yellow jackets.

okay I am a little worried about Jackie. When exactly was the accident?? I think last night and she has not posted again....:surfweb:

She posted at 12:23 and 12:43 this afternoon. Posts 3072 and 3074.

Yellow jackets live in the ground. You may have to treat the ground to get rid of them.

Glad you're happy with them but it was not my "find". I am not a Target shopper. I think Holly found this one.:thumbsup2

Jan :earsgirl:

hmmm, I thought it was you, ok whoever (was it you holly?) thanks :goodvibes

I can send it or, better yet, post it here. It was on Bobby's thread too.

I went to the beginning of the thread and enjoyed reading it again. There are a lot of pictures on there that you might want to include in Tyler's book. Some may fit the story even if they were not taken on OUR cruise. Maybe the pictures of Bobby in Lansing can be included?

Bobby has a lanyard from the Indianapolis Speedway that holds his Passport perfectly.

On the inside there are some "sample" stamps and a REAL one from
IMS (Indianapolis Motor Speedway Foundation, Inc.!!)
Dates of visits so far have been logged in by hand.

Thanks Jan! The book was primarily for Bobby's visit with us, then a few shots on the cruise for sort of a reunion. I had "Bobby Banana's Visit" for the title, but might change it to "Fun with Bobby Banana". :thumbsup2

Yup, that's where they were coming from. The sure weren't there the last time I mowed a couple weeks ago. They were NOT HAPPY about me disturbing them. I'm very suprised I didn't get stung when I think of how many there were.

Nope, we have not seen that. Are they on the road now so they are not keeping up with us?

No! I never saw that either! Too funny! :rotfl:

Lisa, glad to hear Frank made it through just fine, despite the problems. Sounds like you're having lots of fun at the beach (or the kids are)!

Sounds GREAT! What a wonderful idea. Have fun!

never show it in UK:sad2:

Kathe, I know what you mean it and exactly same with me grieve for my mum and dad. They died when I was young. At that times my brother and I couldn't talking about it. And we couldn't talk about Cancer which they died of.

Now my brother and I opened up about our grieves. When my son born, I cried for my mum.

I see that you said that it was harder for your family. Sometime life so cruel.

Deborah:hug: Hugs to you too. Yes, sometimes life is hard...sorry you had to experience loss at such a young age. But life is full of joyous occasions too

He'll be excited to see it. I sure do love making him smile! Oh, I forgot to tell something very cool. Wednesday when I picked him up at school, he told me he had something for me. He pulled out of his backpack a small, flat rock, a little bigger than a quarter, and it's shaped like a heart! He told me he wants me to have it for good luck. So he went to his dad's, then the next day when I picked him up at the school to take him to his appointment, I said, "Guess what's in my pocket?" and showed him I was carrying the lucky rock he gave me. You should have seen his face light up! I sure do love that smile!

What a great Mommy you are! If Tyler had angry, judgmental parents he would have so much more trouble dealing with the world. He is so fortunate to have a Mom who loves and accepts him while trying to help him do better. It is hard to be Tyler some of the time, but knowing how much he is loved has GOT to make a difference when everything else seems to be crashing in on him inspite of himself.

Tyler is blessed.::yes::

Kathe... Very well said...[/QUOTE]

Thanks Michelle:hug: I'm certainly not as eloquent with words as Ian though ;)

We're leaving early in the morning and boy am I ready! It has been a hell of a week. Tuesday morning I checked in the hospital to have a lump removed from my breast. It turned out ok but boy am I sore!. They put a medal chip in so they can moniter the area - so I figure with my luck I will set the alarms off at the airport in the morning. I have 6 butterfly thingys instead of stitches. At least it is waterproof. Then today our dog was supposed to have surgery but when the vet did the ultrasound he suggested putting him to sleep. So the way things are going this week I hope I don't miss my plane tomorrow.

I hope everyone has a good couple of weeks! I will probably check in, but we are not taking computers with us.

Gydell, what a week. Take care of yourself and rest. I'm so sorry to hear of the loss of your dog. Just not a good pet season for us here huh?

Hope you have a relaxing travel to Cabo can't wait to hear about it when you get back.

Heading to bed - got an early flight.
