Waited forever to go --- arriving August 2013!!!

Yesterday, I was online and decided to see if I could get any of my ADRs a little bit earlier. Also, since we are staying at Beach Club, I really wanted to do the Cape May character breakfast. So, I got Akershus 5 minutes earlier. Yay. It is a before opening ADR, so every 5 minutes helps, I guess. I also changed my Sci-Fi Dine-In, because of a Dismeet that is happening at DHS starting at 6pm. With my old ressie, I thought we wouldn't be able to finish dinner in time, so I got a 4:20 PM. A tad early for us, but my kids always seem to be able to eat, so it shouldn't be a problem. I was looking at which day would be the best day to add another breakfast. I decided the water park day would be a good day because they don't open until 10am. Then I was thinking it would be nice to not really have to rush anywhere on our departure day if we don't want to, so I moved Ohana to our water park day and then got the Cape May breakfast on our departure day. Of the ADRs I made at the 180 day mark, I only have two original...Crystal Palace and Raglan Road.

I had been debating about the Wishes Dessert party. I looked to see if there was anything available for the 28th (earlier night, so I think Chelsea would still be awake enough to enjoy it). They had something, so I went for it. My kids aren't huge dessert eaters, but I am sure they can find something. The main reason I wanted to do it was to give them something "special" to remember the fireworks.

So, without further details, here are the new ADRs:

8/25 - Sci-Fi Dine-In @ 4:20 PM

There isn't much new on the planning stage. I decided I really wanted to do Cape May for dinner. So, yesterday I tried to book online. Let's just say very frustrating and didn't get the reservation. However, I got to do a Disney website survey. I was not very happy with them. Anyway, this morning I tried again and finally got the reservation that I wanted. So, that is where we will have dinner after our Animal Kingdom day.

Another DISer noticed that we both have ADRs for Ohana and told me to look for them. I said of course. Then I looked at her trip report from 2012 and noticed she has an 18 year old son that is on the good looking side and not sure I should let my 16 year old daughter see him. Of course, she doesn't seem to have the same taste as I do, so the guys I think are cute and point out to her, she doesn't think the same. Anyway, add another dismeet to my growing list.

I got a little box from Disneystore.com yesterday. It had a few shirts that I ordered for me. One of the shirts was for Marissa. I also got 3 pins. Marissa claimed one and Chelsea claimed one. Oh yes, I almost forgot the Jasmine head piece to complete Chelsea's Jasmine costume. That was a fun box to open.

The other day, we were in the toy section and saw a couple of puzzles that were Disney, so we bought two. We have never put puzzles together as a family, so I was picturing having it on the table and we working on it for a few minutes at night and then each of us working on it when we had time. The first puzzle has the princesses (Tiana, Rapunzel, Ariel, Belle, Aurora, Cinderella and Snow White). It has 750 pieces. Well, Marissa started it while I was at work and had most of the edges completed. She worked on it for almost 3 hours. I made her stop to have dinner. After dinner, around 6:30pm, we started again. Just me and the girls. Around 8, I told Chelsea to escape if she could. I was hoping to soon after. Not a chance. Marissa would not let me leave until each princess was complete. We only have background left (about 75 pieces). It was 9:30pm when we stopped. I could barely even see the pieces anymore. So, I learned that you don't get Marissa's puzzles because she wants to finish it in one day. Or I should only get her the 100 piece puzzles.

Tomorrow is the auction. I think the competition is going to be fierce. I will try not to go too insane.

BTW - I have an ultrasound tomorrow. I am hoping they don't find anything and my hormones are just having fits is all. Because I have a history of a blood clot, I am not supposed to take hormones that could help, so if they don't find anything, there isn't much they can do to help.

Well, today the school district we are in announced the calendar for 2013-14 school year. There was rumors that they may delay opening until Sept 23rd, but instead they are starting Sept. 11. A week later than usual. I was a bit upset at first, because I would have loved to have done the WDW trip in September when even less people and free dining. However, I have recovered. I was wishing that the kids had more time to recover from vacation before school started and now they have an additional week, so that is good. They are also getting a week off at Thanksgiving. We have one of the shortest school years in the country. So many furlough days. The school district next to ours has 6 more days than ours. However, we won't get out as early this year.

I actually tried bidding on the auction, but was quickly outbid. Oh well. Now, if the people that own them ever get to the point they have too many, then maybe they can get together and have a "used" bag auction. Wishful thinking on my part.

Ultrasound was fine. The tech couldn't tell me anything but did say the Doctor would be calling me in the next couple of days. She seemed to have found lots of items to take pictures and measurements.

Chelsea and I finished the puzzle last night, except for one piece. We looked all over for the missing piece. Then I called Marissa down and she had hidden one piece so she could be the one that "finished" it. She is such a sneaky thing. I called her down there, because I knew it was something she would do, because it was something I would have done as well.

I am thinking of pulling Brother Bear out from the VHS tapes and watch that tonight. We haven't watched it in forever. Wait, it isn't Friday yet. We will do that tomorrow.

Hi, Shannon! Our trips are so close! I am so excited! I’m sorry to hear about Jacob’s struggle with the writing test. I’m assuming everything went well since you went on to talk about the graduation tickets. It is too bad that you and your ex were having a disagreement over the tickets. It sounds like something my ex would do And what was the deal with him and trying to make it seem like he was so wonderful for getting Shades of Green for you guys? That would drive me nuts if my ex was trying to take all of the credit for something I was doing! I am so glad that you got a great room at a great rate at Beach Club! I’m really bummed about The Muppets because we love that show! Oh well. I’m glad to hear the carousel should be up and running, though. It’s awesome you got a good ticket price for UO! I’m glad to hear the girls are doing so well with dance and choir! That was a hilarious story about the puzzle!

Thank you Ruthie. Your prayer list reminded me of a time my mom asked her sister, my aunt, to pray for her. My aunt told my mom that she only allowed 10 things on her prayer list and it was full at the moment. My mom asked if she could be on the waiting list. I am glad you don't have a waiting list.

I am in the process of getting ready to take the kids to see Monsters University. We have to hit the matinee and we won't see 3D. We have Cinemark gift cards, so it shouldn't be too much extra. Trying to make the next two months with spending as little as possible. Why you ask? My ex-husband notified me that his job was terminated. He gets deployed in September, so he isn't going to try to find another job. So, no child support for 2 months. I just bought the photopass +. I have about $450 still in gift cards to use. I have flight, hotel, Universal tickets and photopass paid for. So, I need to spend as little as possible until the trip, so I can have enough for food. If I have to, I can cancel some ADRs. I could try to get a weekend job. I don't have enough for a garage sale. I don't want it on the credit card. I am sure things will work out, but we may be living on ramen and mac n cheese for the next 8 weeks.

Right now I have 2 extra ADRs... and if necessary - I will cancel them. It's not easy, but I won't decide that until we get closer.
