We are getting rid of Fubo tv. Looking into YouTube. what do you like about it?

Unlimited DVR, fluid app use(for the record I use AppleTV ), best bang for the buck(even at slightly higher rates), technologically advanced(multi-screen pip, etc.). I’ve been a day one subscriber, back when it was $35/mo …even with the increases I couldn’t justify changing -it’s the best service and it’s not even close.

Saw the $20 off offer for 4 months when I logged in yesterday to switch credit card payment (so many of our cards have a 1-time $20 cash back offer that I switch cards every month). Looking at the various plans makes my head spin, the sports one still doesn't include the Tennis channel. I will make DH choose.

the only time I watch commercials is if I'm watching something live. Most of my viewing is dvr

Why do you need a DVR? Can't you just stream any show on demand with YouTube TV like you can on YouTube Premium?

Because people want to watch shows that aren't available on YT (premium or not)? Believe it or not, people even want to watch things "live"... I know, heaven forbid, right?

I mean it's fine that you're OK with YT Premium. Why do you keep criticizing those who choose to spend their own money the way they want?

Ok I understand that sports are "live" but what about everything else? Isn't 95% of the content shown on traditional channels not "live"? And if so why even bother with traditional linear "live" TV? Why not just have everything shown on a streaming platform like NetFlix does?

We'll stay with the full YouTube TV. I like it for the live sports so we could go with the sports package, but DW likes the Hallmark channels.

News (local and national) is usually "live". Some even Prime Time shows have certain episodes live... America's Got Talent, Dancing With The Stars, American Idol, The Voice, and the like.

Some people also like watching shows when they premiere. So even if the show's not live, it's still "appointment TV" for some.

The bottom line is who are you to dictate how someone watches the entertainment they want to watch, when they want to to watch it? Every time streaming comes up, you tell people they should give up their streaming/cable package in order to watch how YOU want to watch, even if the shows they want to watch aren't available.

It's like criticizing people for going to Disney... "It's too expensive", "It's for kids", "Why do you go so much?" If that's what people want to do with their time and money, why can't you let them? If someone says "We're going to Disney for two weeks and staying Concierge at the Grand Floridian!", would you say "Why don't you stay at All Stars? It works for me!"? Now, if someone says "How can I save money at Disney?", that's a different issue. But that's not what's going on here.

As far as your last comment, many shows are available on streaming platforms. But if you like shows on multiple networks, that means multiple streamers. Each one costs money.
