Well, Marissa is back home from Ireland. I hope to have pictures soon to share. She took a total of 67 pictures in a week. She is not a picture taker. We also found out she doesn't understand about souvenirs for others. She got plenty of stuff for herself that represented Ireland. For the rest of us, not so much. She said she couldn't find anything for her Dad. I asked her if they had shot glasses that said Ireland. She said they had tons of them.
I told her that would have worked. She got me a small box of chocolates. I think I was the only one that got something that was made in Ireland. I don't know whether to eat them or not. There are 7 small pieces. Reminds me of the small whitman boxes you can get at Valentine's day. I had told her to get me something from Shannon when she was there. She said the only thing she found was a keychain that had a picture of Shannon and the name. I said that would have been perfect. She said she didn't get it because she didn't think I needed a keychain. She also told me she found an apron that had Irish recipes on them, but she had gotten me aprons the last few times for Christmas or Mother's Day and I had told her no more. I told her this was a bit different. She got Jacob and Chelsea some hollow chocolate eggs that had toys inside. She got them from Amsterdam airport and they were made in Poland and had Warner Bros. characters on the box. I guess they were sort of neat but not Irish. Then for my mom, she got her Ireland magnets for their fridge? Coasters? Nope. She got her an oven mitt with roosters on it. No green colors. Nothing that says Ireland. Luckily, it was from Ulster Weavers, and they are pretty big in Ireland and UK. But, as we were headed to my parents' house, she ripped off the tag. I made her put it back on. She was able to. So, she got herself, an Irish wool sweater, a purse that had sheep and clovers and the word Ireland and a t-shirt that said something in Gaelic. So, we told her, when you go to a foreign place, that the people stuck at home want a cheesy trinket that says or represents the place they were visited. So, hopefully, she will know next time. Although, we have had a grand time making her feel guilty and laughing about the whole thing. Oh, and she brought me the shampoo and soaps from her hotels. I guess that helps.
I am glad she is back home and we have started the Downton Abbey marathon watching. We got through Season 1, Episode 5 last night. Things are back to normal and now we all get to focus on WDW.

But it is good that your coworker is being realistic about not seeing and doing everything. Im sure they will have fun.
That was too funny to me that Marissa didnt get Ireland specific souvenirs for everyone! It sounds like she had a great time, though!
Other people have told me that their kids slept most of the day after getting theirs out. Jacob would not sleep. About 2pm, he had feeling back. I made him some mashed potatoes and he ate them. Then he ate the smoothie and oatmeal from earlier. He had some icrecream. Then at 5 he wanted more mashed potatoes, so I made more. He ate them all and wanted more. I was tired of making them, so I went to the store and bought him a tub of the country crock garlic mashed potatoes. He ate those and wanted more. I was not going to make any more. He ended up eating some of the pasta that the girls had for dinner. He just didn't chew it. Just put it in and swallowed. At 10pm, he asked if I had any medicine that would help him sleep. He just could not sleep. I told him I didn't. I wish I did. But, he did finally go to sleep and was much better this morning.
Poor thing, not being able to sleep! That must have been an ordeal trying to get him something to eat when he was so irritable. Im sorry that was such a rough experience, and I am glad he was doing so much better today.
Ill just watch it with him and pretend that I havent seen it yet. Besides, all of the episodes are totally worth viewing multiple times! I fell in love with Sherlock! I just discovered it a few months ago, and I am dying to see the new season! I cant even imagine how bad it was for people who have had to wait all of this time for the new season to come out! I told my son that we have to watch that together, too. We havent yet, though, because we are a few episodes behind on The Walking Dead and Once Upon a Time, so he wants to watch those first. My daughter watches Once Upon a Time, too, but not The Walking Dead. Back to British TV, I started watching Merlin about two months ago. I think I am on Season 3, but I cant remember. I promised myself that I would finish that before starting Downton Abbey, but so many people keep talking about how good it is that I am tempted to just go ahead and start. Isnt it hard not to get caught up in these shows?
