Good morning all,
I felt like Dorathy from Wizard of Oz in the whirlwind of a tornado yesterday (I am sure Kelsie, John, Kelvin and everyone involved did) and by the time last evening got here, I was just mentally exhausted, but had a smile in my heart.
Setting all aside, the big lesson learned here, is that we are family and we do owe each other respect and help. We all are not perfect and we do make mistakes which is very human. We are here to help when we can, we are here to all be a safety zone and most of all, we are just a phone call away. It didn't matter if any of us had plans, it didn't matter what it took or what folks thought to make something happen and I am sure that Kelsie and I stepped hard on some folks - I know I did, but when it came down to it, Kelsie was the one that pulled it off, but again it didn't matter who did what - the fact is that we stuck together and did it.
There is not one of us that wasn't touch in some way and all of us were just heart broken when everything was cancelled and it appeared the cruise was off - I tried calling the local newspaper, the police anybody to get help for these great folks, but nothing seemed to come together although all of a sudden it was like "WOW!! it is coming together". For all of those that called wanting to help, you were like the super glue that kept Norm and I going so thank you all for the love and support.
This is what I keep preaching about on the board we are family and we all screw up, but that doesn't mean we divorce each other?
Anyhow glad all turned out so beautiful and just remember there are good folks out there and there are folks that will help just because they care and not hoping to make something off of you.
Now we have to see what the next chapter is when the ship gets here on Thursday for I believe both Steph and DD intend to go to Orlando to finish out the week, but then there is the problem of no CC etc but I am sure by then something will have worked out.
Blessings to each and all and have a great and safe Holiday
Much love always
Shirley and Norm
