When I first read your original post Scot, I knew if there were two people that would do all they can to help it would be Shirley and Norm, that's why I sent an e-mail off to Shirley first thing Sunday morning. I'm just so happy everything worked out for the best and "your girls" got to go on their cruise, that's all that matters!!!

All I can say is WOW. I wasn't on the boards all weekend due to storms in my area, and this morning I find this story. I'm glad it had a happy ending and Kudos to all those involved to make the happy ending. It only goes to show that when you are in need, all you have to do is ask. I'm greatful that I found the DIS and DU.....

Wow! It's all I can say. I came into the thread late Sunday night and was floored by everything that came together. Thanks for posting the video too! I hope that they had a wonderful time.

What an amazing happy ending. I love these kind of stories where everyone pulls together and helps someone out. I can definitely say Kelsie has definitely gone out of her way for me and helped me out immensely on a few cruises I have taken. Shirley and Norm are one of a kind and absolutely amazing and Andy is the sweetest person who has devoted so much time to the Dis. I love this place!

But I'm confused. What exactly did anyone from DU do to help?

It is my understanding that Kelsie from DU was on the phone like crazy trying to get them on. Once everyone admitted defeat, their cabin and reservation was canceled. When the purse was found, Kelsie had one hour to get the reservation reinstated. No small task.

What an incredible story. I will FOR SURE be using Shirley and Norm's business services on my next cruise. I know they don't do the nice things they do to get rewarded, but when people go above and beyond, I want to support them.

Stories like this give me faith in my fellow man. Reading the papers, watching the news, etc can get so depressing when you see what terrible things human beings do to each other. But stories like this make you realize they are more good people in the world than bad.

WHAT A ROLLER COASTER STORY! WOW!!! I have nothing to add that hasn't been expressed. I can't possibly express my awe and amazement for the help that was offered and how ....just, I can't express it. I have to admit that I have both tears and goosebumps. What a truly amazing story. But when I get to really thinking about it, I'm not so surprised. Andy (VerandahMan) has always helped people and I have always found him to be a truly caring gentleman. Shirley and Norm have always gone out of their way for so many people. I know they have a heart of gold. I use The Perfect Gift. I am a lucky client of Kelsie and have sung her praise more than once. She has always been there for me when I needed her. I have been a client of DU for several cruises. To have a team like that helping Scot and Steph was fortunate because they all truly care about people. I am so happy it turned out like it did.

OMG I had forgotten the incident with the sunglasses - what a laugh that was trying to send them to key West, then deciding to send them to the house and all week without the prescription sunglasses - hope there hasn't been anymore incidents BUT we did have a couple from England that who's glass frames were not longer available in England and I had to order and get them here within 4 days - talk about a lot of scurrying, but it did get done.

Someone posted a link to this fantastic thread on our cruise meet thread. I'm so glad they did as as we are at WDW and not online much, so wouldn't have caught it. It is wonderful to read how you folk worked so very hard to get these two on this cruise. Fantastic!!
