URGENT!! Please help

Sitting here after reading through all the posts with tears in my eyes, but a smile on my face.

Absolutely amazing.

You know with so much ugliness in the world these days, it is SO heartwarming to find out that our corner of it is still filled with so much beauty and "magic".

I am impressed beyond belief, in amazement of, and so grateful for all who had a hand in making this magic happen for a stressed out mom and dad, and a lovely 16 year old girl.

Kelsie and John of DU - this is why we are using you for all our upcoming cruises.

Shirley and Norm - we have ordered wonderful baskets from them for a couple of cruises now - they have alway been made with such love and care. Shirley has always called with confirmation just before cruising, and to remind me of her cell phone number should anything AT ALL be needed during our trip - even when I know she wasn't feeling 100%. For anyone that ever thought she was just being sweet (although undoubtedly she is ) read this thread. She means every word.

Shirley - you mentioned several days ago about the Man Upstairs' red marker - well I think we'd all agree he has a green one ready for you and Norm (way, way, way in the future).

Our own VerandahMan - Andy - working sweetly and quietly behind the scenes as usual. He is a great example of "paying it forward" if ever there was one.

Let's not forget our Moderator, Lisa (lbgraves). Lisa chimed in very early on with Shirley and Norm's cell numbers. I know the poster (Scot) didn't realize that early on what a great place that was to begin. That certainly turned out to be excellent advice!

I hope Steph and Mariah had a blast, and I cannot wait to hear more from them once they are home and settled!

Wow, Wow, WOW!!!! As someone else said, God does his have angels down here on earth. Feel the love....

I just popped in on the Cruise board to see if there's anything about Disney cruising to Alaska. If they do, and if we can work out a trip, DU will certainly be making our reservation!

All I can say is WOW!

I just read all 15 pages (and I don't believe I've ever done that!). From the first urgent request to Shirley and Norm getting involged, I was already ooked and worried about Steph & Mariah.

Then to see that Kelsie, John, Verandah Man all helping to work this out....it is truly amazing what cyber friends can do for each other!

I was getting frustrated as my computer wouldn't move from page to page quick enough when I still didn't know if they made it onot the ship. I am SO glad it all worked out (and thank you Marriott person for meeting them 1/2 way!)...

I am sure this is a 16th birthday that Mariah will NEVER forget! I can't wait to see the trip report and glad it all worked out in the end, but boy was that cutting it close!

I just watched Scot's video and have more tears in my eyes!

Notes to self:

1. Use DU for next cruise on DCL
2. Make sure I order my baskets from Shirley and Norm
3. Get a blackberry so I can still connect with the Disboards if something happens!

to everyone on the DISboards for your help, encouragement, prayers, thoughts and pixie dust. This trip would never have happened without the kindness of strangers. I was finally able to sit and read this entire thread this morning and did so through tears. I was overwhelmed to say the least.

Shirley and Norm - You are now dear friends. When I had lost all hope Shirley was determined to leave no stone unturned. She went to bat for me over and over. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Kelsie - You are the best travel agent a girl could have. The Dreams Unlimited team went above and beyond the call of duty for us. I never even thought to call you through this whole ordeal, but through the magic of the DISboards you found me. I can't wait to book my younger DD's Sweet 16 cruise in 5 years. Hopefully, I will be contacting you sooner. Thanks again!

John and the rest of the DU team - Thanks so much for your behind the scenes work to make our dream come true!

Verandah Man - Thank you for getting the ball rolling with Shirley and for the beautiful pictures as we were saling away. If you could zoom in you would see Mariah and I on Deck 10 with huge smiles on our face.

Frances - Oh, sweet Frances, who was so friendly and caring at the front desk of the Marriott on Sunday morning when I asked if my purse had been located. You were so encouraging and thoughtful. I was so relieved when you called me with the news that my purse had been found, but I can't even begin to thank you enough for drving to meet me halfway between the port and Orlando. Your generousity is responsible for getting us to the ship with about 5 minutes to spare.

Steve - Our dear family friend who recently moved about 30 minutes from the port. You offered your home and car when we thought we were stranded. You drove like a maniac with a crazy woman at your side to meet Frances with my purse. You drove us to the port with about 5 minutes to spare. After the cruise, you loaned me $200 to use as a deposit for a rental car when I was crying at the airport because there was no other way to get my pre-paid rental car. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Scot - My dear, sweet DH. Thanks for being there and bailing me out of numerous messes over the years. Thanks for being cool and calm each and everytime I called you and pleading my case when I couldn't. I love you!

If I forgot anyone I am sorry and truely grateful.
