Toystoryduo's Journal....Moving Forward From Here

Thanks Deb. :hug:

Boy, did we get snow!! :scared1: I'm not sure how much, but when our puppy went outside to go potty, she disappeared under all of the snow. :eek: All of the schools are closed in this area. I'm worried for my DH because he has to travel for work today. Please keep him in your prayers for safe travel.

I weighed in this morning and lost 2 pounds from last week. Total weight loss for the year is 9.8 pounds. :)

Today's Plan:
* Shoveling :(
* Goals for March
* WDW March 2011 discussion

Hoping for a relaxing weekend ahead....Have a nice Friday!:grouphug:

Great news on the loss! :cool1: Almost 10lbs gone this year, that is amazing! :banana:

I hope your DH is able to avoid the crazy drivers and get home safely. :wizard:

Hi Tracy
I hope your day is going better today than the past couple. We are suppose to have snow in the early morning but it isn't cold enough to do anything but melt.

I too am very sad over the loss of the paid clicks. That was going to be some serious Disney $$. I hadn't read about SR. I haven't been on there in a couple days. I for some reason I just started qualifying for surveys and now they are going to lower the amounts. :rotfl: I knew it was too good to be true.

Great job on the loss! :banana: I think I found your two pounds though. :blush:

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

I'm getting tired of snow. :( I'm not sure how much is on the ground, but we're still expecting more today. Where is spring?!?!?!? :sunny:

Today will be a somewhat busy day. I've got laundry and cleaning to do, I'll be meeting my friend for coffee this afternoon, then grocery shopping and Target and the library. I need to work on my goals for March as well.

Hope everyone has a great Saturday!:grouphug:

Have fun visiting with your friend! And enjoy the snow while you can, I bet you will be missing it when it's super hot and humid this summer! :laughing:

great job on the loss!!!! congrats!

yeah, we got a foot of snow here on Friday...tired of it. SO happy to be heading south for a break - careful with all the shoveling

Good evening friends,

My DD9 is still not feeling well. :sick: She has a low grade fever and is really tired. We may not do school tomorrow. I'm not feeling all that well either. :(

The kids will be going to bed early so my DH and I can work on goals for March. I still can't believe that February is almost over!:eek: Where did the month go?

Got two more workouts in today: WATP 5 Miles, FIRM Super Body Sculpt Upper Body...Probably wasn't my best idea since I'm not feeling well. :blush: Glad I got the workouts in though. :goodvibes

Hope everyone has a nice evening!:grouphug:

Tracy
I hope DD is feeling better soon. And you also. Take care of yourself and lots of fluids. Stay in bed if you feel very poorly. Sounds like tomorrow is a good day for a stay in bed movie day:thumbsup2

Woohoo on getting the workouts in. You rocked on the workouts this month. And way to make your rewards goal. :banana:

I was thinking spring was coming soon, but then I went out for a walk this evening and the wind still had an icey feel to it. Not very spring like.:sad2:

I hope you enjoyed meeting with your friend and you got all of your errands run.

:hug: feel better tomorrow.:goodvibes

Poor DD...and poor you! I'm impressed at the exercise you got in when not feeling up to par. Take care of her and yourself too.

Rest and fluids is the way to go, I hope you and dd feel better today!

I am so sorry you have so much snow, we got a bit and I guess I had better not complain given what my poor Ohio Wish Sis is hit with! Hang in there, at least its March and the end of winter is in sight.

That is so awesome you have lost 9.8 pounds this year!:thumbsup2:cool1::yay::cheer2: You are really doing so great and you motivate me in the process!

I hope today is a good one for you in spite of the snow and illness.:hug:

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

DD woke up feeling somewhat better today. :thumbsup2 We did do some homeschooling, but not much since she's still not completely up to par.

I'm feeling so-so. My head and throat hurt. :( I have been pushing the vitamins and OJ in the hopes that I can fight this thing off.

Final numbers for February's Goals look pretty good. I could have done better on the no buy goal, but I got lazy and just didn't plan my shopping trips right. :blush: Hoping to do better this month!:goodvibes

Speaking of goals, here are March's goals:

1. Workouts 0/15

2. No Buy Days 0/15

3. Daily Cleaning Project 0/31

Since I made SM at SR, I've decided to just earn money this month with no particular goal in mind.

As far as the daily cleaning project goes....It's a way of helping me get the house clean, organized, and de-cluttered. Each day, I have one specific task that needs to be completed. I'm hoping that by the end of March, I'll be almost done with my spring cleaning.

Today's Project: Clean and Organize the CVS cupboard

Two other goals I will be working on this month are to get that emergency fund back to $1,000 and to pay off our timeshare. I won't update those daily like I do the other goals. I'll just post general progress updates as we go along.

That's about all from here...Hope everyone has a wonderful day!:grouphug:

Interesting about the daily cleaning goals, I was thinking about that very thing this morning! I am going to to a checklist for the kids for their chores - they are getting lazy... :confused3

I hope you are feeling better soon! :wizard:

I need to jump on the cleaning goal bandwagon too. I think the health dept. would condemn my house if they ever peeked inside.

Keep up that vitamin C and hopefully you can get rid of that bug before it gets too strong.

I'm glad DD feels better and I hope you do also today. :goodvibes

Love the daily cleaning goal. That is a great idea, to tackle one thing each day. That way you don't get overwhelmed or burned out.

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

My DH and I talked about my no buy goal yesterday and realized that it's not something that has been beneficial to us the past couple of months. Why? Because we've continued to spend the same amount of money, just on fewer days. I went ahead and removed it from my March goals. We'll still track spending, but the no buy just isn't working for us as I intended it to. Moving on.....

DD9 is starting to feel much better. The fever is gone, but she is still coughing. I am feeling so-so. I'm still taking my vitamins and drinking lots of water to flush this out of my system.

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling
* Zoo (Indoor Exhibit?)
* NCIS x 2

Daily Cleaning Project: Clean out bookcases, donate books to charity

Hope everyone has a great day!:grouphug:

Tracey, Hope you start feeling better soon. Do all the healthy things you can to get rid of your bug. I think you need some chicken soup!

Which zoo do you go to? I think its great that you have somewhere close by like that where you can go and take a walk. Have fun!!!

Good point on the no buy days. It sounds like it was a good idea anyway because it have you more awareness of your spending habits so now you can make a plan that will tackle the problem at its root.

Tracy, I am glad you are feeling better and hope you are all well soon!:wizard:

As for the no buy thing, to me the most important thing is the total amount of money going out. Some people do Dave Ramsey's envelope system. Right now dh and I take out a certain amount of cash each payday and when its gone its gone. I liked the no buy thing and it did help me realize mindless shopping is not a good thing, but I was surprised at how I basically didn't really save any money.

Your goals sound good, I know you will make them!

Thanks ladies. :grouphug:

The girls and I are still sick. :( My DD9 is starting to feel better, but DD7 and I are feeling kind of yucky....Low grade fever, aches, pains, cough... BLAH! :sick: The weather is really nice today so I'm hoping we'll all feel well enough to take a short walk in the park this afternoon. I think we could all use some fresh air without overdoing it.

Today's Plan:
* Homeschooling (minimal)
* Laundry
* Walk

I cashed out for another $50 Disney gift card a few days ago. I'm hoping to have our trip balance paid off before my DH starts deejaying in a few weeks. :cool1:

Hope everyone has a great day!:hug:
