MK Parking

We are staying February 1st off site (near Disney Springs), but our reservations at Wilderness Lodge start on February 2nd. We only have one day at each theme park, and since February 2nd is my birthday I wanted to eat at one of my favs, Crystal Palace, for lunch. This means February 2nd is my only day to do my favorite park and try to fit in as much as possible. With a toddler and a grumpy/slow husband I don't know how much that will be, or how long we will be there. I want to rope drop MK on February 2nd, but I wasn't sure since our reservations didn't start at WL until that day, and check in isn't until later, if they'd let us park at MK without paying the parking fee. I thought about going to WL first, and then parking and riding the boats over to MK, but considering how hard it is to get everyone moving in the morning I know that route will require us to wake up even earlier, and we're going to be driving in from Iowa the day before. So will my life be easier, and I can just park at MK with a hotel reservation starting that day? Or will it be harder and I have to figure out another plan?

You will be able to park at MK for free on your WL check in day. If you aren't using Magic Bands, Just show your reservation to the MK parking attendant.

You also qualify for Early Entry that morning.

Despite parking being included for check-in day, I’d almost think parking at WL and taking an MK bus would be quicker than TTC Parking -> Tram -> Monorail/Ferry. And then your car would already be at WL and you could take boat or bus back when the night is done.

Of course you’d have to go back to the car for your luggage anyway, but you wouldn’t have to do the whole MK parking lot exit and loop back around to WL… after monorail or ferry as well.

I’d just park at WL. It shouldn’t be any longer since from MK parking you will take a tram and then the monorail or boat. Then you won’t have to deal with the toddler and moving the car at the end of the day.

If you park at the hotel, you can drop your luggage off at Bell Services and then get the boat or bus. They are refurbishing the dock and boat service is down from Jan 12-30. So it’s just back up. The boat is probably easier since you don’t have to go through the big security screening with all the other resort bus people. Just the detector at the exit of the dock at MK.
