I love Top Chef and cannot wait for season 2! So excited!!! Don't you wish they'd post some of the recipes for the dishes they cook up!?

BTW -- there's a new hostess this year. Billy Joel's wife is out. Maybe Heidi Klum auffed her?

I didn't care for her anyway. I thought she seemed too full of herself. I can't wait for season 2 also.

I love Top Chef!

I'm so glad Katie Lee was replaced by somebody who doesn't talk like a robot.

I think this group seems to be more talented than Season 1.

My thoughts so far: Marcel looks like a hobbit! I like Betty and think she might be this season's Leanne. llan reminds me of Harold. I also like Michael, Sam, and Frank. Nobody else really made a strong impression and it is still early... my opinions will probably change!

I thought the peer-judging quickfire challenge was a brilliant idea!

This photo is strange in that Betty is the only one not wearing a white coat and she is way in the background... I wonder if that is significant?

Looking forward to next week.

Love to hate? Marcel-- he is Steven Jr.-- young, arrogant, clueless!

Elia, Sam and Josie might be strong contenders for this title, though. They all kind of struck me as possible troublemakers.

My favorites so far are Sam, Betty and Big Mike. But of course, that could change at anytime. I love the hobbit reference for Marcel. Too funny.

These were my early favorites too, but don't ask me, all my early project runway people were auffed pretty early so I'm not a good judge!!

somehow I missed both the finale of Project Runway and the premiere of Top Chef 2...and thanks to the Today show..I found out who won Runway when I was hoping to catch a repeat and find out for myself..but I would like to see the first episode of this season's Top Chef before next week..anyone know?

Not sure who my favorites are yet, will probably watch it again this weekend to see who I like. I liked LeAnne from last year.

SPOILER ALERT(HIGHLIGHT BELOW):

Ilan, Elia, Mia and Betty are the top four, with Ilan's dish judged as the best. Carlos, Suyai, Marcel and Otto are the bottom four. Suyai is told to pack her knives and go. She was completely out of her element so this was no surprise. A few of the judges even said her dish was so bad they didn't even want to swallow it. Yuck!

Did anyone else think Marcel looks like the Heat Miser with that crazy hair of his?
I think he is going to be the guy we love to hate this season- so arrogant, he reminded me of Steven.

I know this'll make me sound old (cause I feel it when I say it) but Marcel needs a haircut!

I kinda like Otto. Don't know why, but I do. Josie and Mike too.

Can I take home Chef Tom? PLease??? I'm sure my DH wouldn't mind
