ECV User Etiquette Question

No problem.
The thing is, it's not a problem...until it is a problem, at which point it's too late. Have you ever been in a hotel hallway when there was no power and only emergency lighting? It's dark. Combine that with an evacuation in the middle of the night when most rooms are occupied, and that's a lot of people trying to move through a now narrower space. And nobody is moving the ECV because the elevators aren't functioning. There was a report a year or so ago from a DISboarder (maybe @mamabunny) with exactly that experience at WDW.

I agree - we're at WDW right now, and a scooter in the hall at AKL blocked more than half the width of the hallway. Strollers struggled to get by, and there was a bit of a bottleneck as people were trying to get past in both directions. It was outside a room near the lobby, so lots of foot traffic.

Imagine if one scooter parked in the hallway and the room across did the same thing--no way would anyone be able to navigate that during an emergency. Even without an emergency, how would strollers, let alone the double side-by-side strollers, or another ECV get through there. We struggled when we were at the Swan getting to our room when a double stroller met us in the hallway. I don't care if a bellman tells you it's ok...it's NOT ok and people should just do the right thing and park in their room (or in the case of the swolphin, park it down with bell services).
