Ticket Upgrade Question

I already bought my 5-Day Hopper Plus, and now it looks like I'll be able to spend one more day at the parks. Is it possible to upgrade from a 5+ to a 6+ by paying the difference?

Also, if it is possible, is this something a Disney Store can do for me? Or do I have to do it at the parks?

Thanks!
Jon

I actually just came back from WDW and used a number of old Hopper passes for credit towards and Annual Pass (which ended up costing me nothing!)

If you are going to go to WDW more than 7 days within a year, the AP is the way to go, especially since you will save a ton on room rates, as well as shopping in many areas (e.g. Downtown Disney).

However, I belive they can only do this at Guest Relations at the entrances to the parks.

Hope that helps!

Yes so long as you do it within 7 days of the first use.

TDS cannot do this. You will have to go to a Guest Relations location at any of the major parks or at DTD.

Congratulations. You were very lucky to happen upon a CM who did this for you as Disney sets a limit of one old ticket for credit per each new ticket purchased. I have not previously heard of this happening for anyone. I believe it was an anomoly rather than an everyday occurance.

See, now I also called 407-W-DISNEY today, and the CM there said no way.

Are you sure the CM's at the parks will allow me to do this?

Thanks,
Jon

You hit a CM that did not know. Yes, you can do it. Golden Oldie knows more about tickets than anyone I have ever encountered.
It is a pity CMs don't have the info Golden Oldie does.
If you have any doubts about this, try this link for backup.

Maybe you are right about getting a CM who was willing to help (It was at Guest Relations of the Studios). He originally looked at me a little funny when I showed him about 10 tickets, and even asked where I had gotten them from. Since they had mine or my wife's name on the back, he asked a Lead is it was OK, and applied a number of them to the AP.

I know what other posts and web sites have stated about this, but I can assure you that I did in fact make this conversion. If I was "lucky," then I'm happy I was able to do it.

Good luck!

Do you believe everything that a Disney CM tells you? If you do, stop it right now. :)

You called CRO/WDTC. They don't know jack about anything if it doesn't show up on their computer screen. They will still tell you that you can't buy UPH's at the resort for a shorter length than your entire stay.

You can absolutely upgrade that ticket at Guest Relations.

I'm sure that as long as you are UPGRADING your ticket, they would be happy to accomodate you!

(it's what Walt would have wanted)
