We have 32 days left to go until my first visit to WL - I am so excited I can't stop talking about it to anyone and everyone!!

See you there! I'll be there while you are..can't wait! :cool1: :yay: (And yes, I am bregging! :rotfl: )

Thanks! I have been getting very homesick.....hoping to get back in Dec. 09:cloud9:

Going to the Villas at WL next Monday and have a few questions:

1. I am looking for the fax # for the Villas room assignor.

2. I read somewhere about local grocery store that delivers food for $10. Since I have a little one, I am going to need milk and snacks that won't hold up on the plane. So any info on the grocery store?

3. If I have to buy at the Mercantile (great photos by the way), what are the prices on milk, bread, peanut butter, and, of course, the six pack of balcony beverages?

The posts have been great, especially regarding the travel to other resorts and the hotel floor plan. My thanks to all who have posted.

7 day countdown.....

Not sure if this is the one you were referring to-or what their delivery costs are, but I saw this one recommeNded here on the DIS:

OKAY! :headache: Something is messed up with my IE's favorites...let me see if I can dig it out somewhere...

The store I've read about is Garden Grocer - gardengrocer dot com. I think the delivery price is $15 for orders under $200. They have everything from milk and juice (that will stay cold until you get to your resort) to water to yogurt. I looked at it yesterday and it looks like a good deal if you're not able to make a stop at Publix on your way tot he parks. They have everything from milk and juice (that will stay cold until you get to your resort) to water to yogurt.

The delivery price is $12 for under $200. Just checked and thier prices are realllyyy high. A gallon of milk is $5.19  if you can stop on the way in I would!!

You can get a gallon of store brand milk there for $4.59, and milk here in FL is very expensive right now. A gallon of Publix milk costs me $4-something. I'm sure Garden Grocer is a little higher than normal, but the convenience might be worth it.

Luckily, we live in driving distance and have a station wagon so we bring our own snacks in the car. I've already been buying snacks when they go on sale and I'll get the milk when we get closer to WDW. I am shipping water though since we'll have 9 people on this trip and will need 6-7 cases of water - it would never fit in the car!

1.) The Villas are assigned over at the Wilderness Lodge same room assigner for both and they don't accept FAX's.

Your request for a location should be on your reservation. If you booked through CRO you need to call them. If you're a DVC Member you need to call Member Services. If you are renting from a DVC Member you need to call whomever you are renting from and have them call Member Services to have the request added to your reservation.

2.) I have never used the Mercantile for groceries as I bring my own food and snacks. I have purchased a few items from there, while they are not the cheapest they weren't so overpriced I wouldn't buy them. :confused3

I noticed the prices were a little more expensive than what I pay here in MI. Put they add on for convenience I'm sure.

Did you price groceries at Wegoshop?

Ok here's a test to see if I can post pics from my recent trip. If this works I'll post a few more. Thanks for the help Dreagirl! :worship:

Yep! That's the one I had seen too! Fixing my bookmark now! Thank you :goodvibes

:yay: Yay! I'm so excited. I really received some pixie dust today! I was lucky enough to get one of those pin codes a couple of months back, but wasn't able to get into the WL for my Dec. 7-14th dates. I was lucky enough to get into a WL studio villa though, so I was still thrilled. The code was expiring yesterday, so I decided to call to check availability in the Lodge and a Courtyard room was available! We're set to come in on the 6th for 1 night and then our package will kick in. I only hope that we can stay in the same room the whole time, but if not that's no big deal. Now only if I can score one of those famous Bear Faced rooms and a night in the castle...:cloud9:

Congratulations!!! Did you put "Inner Courtyard" on your request? I am hoping for a Bear Face room too-when I mentioned the "Inner Courtyard" the CM said she had to go into another part of the application they use and find it, so it's kind of a "hidden request" - I hope it means we are more likely to get it!!!
