We have a Courtyard room for our August trip. I did not request any room preference...just happy to be going. Is the inner courtyard the best location? I guess that faces out to the pool? What is the bear face room?

I love the inner courtyard view. You can't ask for a specific room but I would ask for the 4th or 5th floor inner courtyard. This will give you a nice view of the pool and or lake/ gyser depending how far down the wing you are. The bear face rooms are courtyard as well but they are right off the lobby. These rooms are the best ones in the hotel IMHO. They are on the 4th and 5th floor right off the georgous lobby and are a inner courtyard view as well. The view from those balconys look straight out to the pool and lake. Hope this helps.

What room request should I make? This will give you the information on the Courtyard View you may want to request.

Please don't request a Bear Face room from CRO, They wouldn't know what you are asking for, thats the name we here on the FAQ Thread call them. Just request Inner Courtyard located off the Lobby.

Thanks! It's one of my favorites too. Here are a few more. Mostly pics I'm sure you've seen before, but I never get tired of looking at pictures of the lodge. The last one is not WL, but it cracks me up every time I look at it. I think I look waaaay more excited than my DS . In fact next to staying at WL this was the highlight of the trip!

Congratulations!!! Did you put "Inner Courtyard" on your request? I am hoping for a Bear Face room too-when I mentioned the "Inner Courtyard" the CM said she had to go into another part of the application they use and find it, so it's kind of a "hidden request" - I hope it means we are more likely to get it!!!

Thanks! I can't wait to see the Lodge at Christmas. From the pictures I've seen, it looks like the most beautiful place in the world. I did request inner courtyard, upper floor. When I received my email confirmation, it said "enter courtyard, upper floor room". I called to change it but they said they can't change the original request, just add the new one. Hopefully they'll know what I meant.

Here's another question for you. Could anyone give me a review of the sleigh ride? My DD really wants to do this. I was thinking of doing this on our arrival day. We'll take the earliest ride and then have dinner at Whispering Canyon, then off to a early nights sleep. Thanks!

I absolutely can't wait - I just love everyone's pictures - I've got to be sure to take extra batteries for my digital camera as it looks like I might be taking more pictures at the lodge than at Epcot..........LOL!!!

We were coming over the bridge in MK that leads to Frontierland. As we were passing by I heard another guest ask one of his kids if they wanted to meet "the pirate" . I looked over to my left & there he was in this little courtyard area. It seemed like he had just come out because there were only a few people in line. We ran right over or should I say I dragged my DS over as fast as I could It was pure luck really. I wouldn't have even noticed him if I didn 't overhear that man say it. Thanks unknown man! You really made my trip!

Hi All! I was so happy to find this thread, and spent all morning reading it. I just booked our 2nd stay at WL for May 11 - 16th. Last time we stayed there was in August, and we LOVED it.

When I made my reservation online, I did not put in a request for room location. Can I call and add it in?

Hey Robin....that is the exact time we will be at the WL!!! This is the week we go every year and it is a GREAT time to go!!! Weather is great and the crowds aren't that bad!!! Hope you have a great time!!!

We usually go in the summer, but decided to do May instead. For the two reasons you just mentioned... thinner crowds, and beautiful weather.

There was a great AP discount, and low airfares. It was too good to pass up.

I just got off the phone with recreation, and was able to book a Wishes cruise while we are there too.

We decided not to tell the kids, just go to the airport on Mothers Day and hop on the plane. I am so excited, I want to start packing NOW!
