So no vacation planned then all of a sudden the 40% code comes in the mail...so i say to DH how about we just go down for a couple of days and relax by the pool...we don't have to do the parks...no he says DS is still too young, no need to go to Disney now.
Yes but 40% off, we can stay somewhere we wouldn't normally stay...how about I just book it and I can always cancel it...so here we are a 5 night trip (was a 4 until DH wondered out loud if I scheduled enough days) 5 day PH and DDP...all started with just a quick trip to use a pool~;)

Anyway DS will be just shy of 19 months...so first question - how do you all normally get around? Busses to the other places? Do you take the boat to the monorail and monorail on to epcot? Can you take the monorail to DHS or AK?

I know others have asked about early dining res. But we will not have a car and have 8am's planned at AKL, DHS, Poly...Can we count on the buses? I really wouldn't want to take a taxi.

Also for the rooms...yes another room question...We have woods view, I was thinking otter pond would be nice for DS. And I know I need to re-read the first post...are there pond woods view on the 1st floors? Would that be better for DS then balcony? Are the patios enclosed?

Thanks in advance. Just started reading this thread as I have been over on the dining boards beating my brain in, trying to plan our schedule by meals...oh the magic!

Subscribe: I just booked our room for Dec 08. After many months of going back and fourth, Dolphin, Swan, AKL, and P.O.F.Q. have finally made up my mind. So I booked woods view this morning. We have not stayed here since 2002. I have so much to read. Starting with page 1.:goodvibes

Hi Kelley!

I can't answer all of your questions..but I'll answer what I can
Anyway DS will be just shy of 19 months...so first question - how do you all normally get around? Busses to the other places? Do you take the boat to the monorail and monorail on to epcot? Can you take the monorail to DHS or AK?

The monorail only goes to Magic Kingdom and Epcot. You will have to take a bus to get to one of the other locations.

I have taken the boat to the Magic Kingdom to get on the monorail, but only because I enjoy the boat. It would be faster to take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and hop on the monorail there. The busses are very efficient..we usually had very little wait and got to our destination quickly.

I know others have asked about early dining res. But we will not have a car and have 8am's planned at AKL, DHS, Poly...Can we count on the buses? I really wouldn't want to take a taxi.

As long as you give yourself plenty of time, you should have no problem making your early morning dining reservations. I would make sure to leave about 45-minutes to an hour ahead of time just to make sure.

Also for the rooms...yes another room question...We have woods view, I was thinking otter pond would be nice for DS. And I know I need to re-read the first post...are there pond woods view on the 1st floors? Would that be better for DS then balcony? Are the patios enclosed?

I can't answer all of this, but I can answer about the patios..they are not enclosed. The only enclosed area are the balconies on the club level, I believe.

I have heard about it. Unfortunately, Our flight doesn't arrive at MCO until 12:30 or so. By the time we get to the hotel, and get a bit settled, it will probably be too late.

This was a last minute trip for us, as my AP is due to expire soon, so DH said we should go one more time. The airfares happened to be good enough for it to be worth booking!!!!!

I think I can help with this one. No, you don't only have otter pond views from the 1st floor. You can view the pond from all floors. In that wood's view area there will be six floors. The sixth floor will have enclosed balconies. There is no Club Level rooms that far down. :)

With a 19 month old, I don't know if I would want to be on the floor with the patio. Especially if he is active!! :goodvibes

The pond view (wood's view) rooms would run from rooms ending in 034 to 004. Even numbers over look the pond. To be safe with a better view I would say try and get rooms in the are of 024 to 004 on either the 3rd, 4th or 5th floors. (Examples would be 3024, 4024 or 5024.) Hope this helps.

Good luck, maybe you will even get a room that will let you see the Magic Kingdom fireworks!!! :wizard:

Thank You burberryplaid and dizneykid for all the help. Especially the detailed room explanation!

Maybe I will give a call and see if I can add a request on. Which is better? Calling a random CM and adding the request to my reservation, or calling WL directly to add on to my reservation? And I will say this, due to my indecision I have called 3 times about my room and all 3 times I have had to request the pack n play and king bed. Each time I called I mentioned these 2 requests, and each time the CM said nope its not mentioned but I will go ahead and do this...whats up with that?:confused3

Has anyone gone over to Ft Wilderness and rented fishing poles? I saw it was much cheaper than the fishing excursion and DS is really wanting to fish one day.

Getting down to the 2 month mark!

Hi All!

A couple of questions for you WL experts out there! We had a quick couple of days at the WL earlier in March, and are thinking of returning in Oct for a club level stay -

Do you know if there are bunk bed rooms available on the club level? And do all of the club level rooms have the solid balconies?

Thanks in advance for any info you can give!

Kathie

Hi,

The Club Level rooms on the 7th floor all have enclosed balconies. And, yes, some Club Level rooms have bunk beds. When you make your reservation, just request to have bunk beds. When you book Club Level the bunk beds do not incur an extra charge. The CM's up there will do their best to get you into one. :goodvibes

Is anyone there over xmas? We will be there xmas and new years.

....Beck & Jeanne ~

...updated instalment on page 16 AND newest installment on Page 17....;)

Which do you WL vets feel is the better wing? The North one over the laundry, roaring fork, etc, or the one closer to the buses?

And what are the pros and cons of the different courtyard views (i.e. the inside facing ones vs. the DVC facing ones)?

Thanks :)
