The PG results were NEGATIVE! THANK GOD THANK GOD THANK GOD! :cool1:  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :yay: I feel much better now. Phew! Now I am just semi-dreading the HSG on Weds., but at least it will be over when it's done (I hope- I hope they are CLOSED tightly!).

Thanks for the info on the Nick Hotel. I'm waiting for the SWA fares to come out for our time frame before I totally decide. If the price diff isn't much to come home on Friday, then we will do that. If it's way more expensive, we will stay at Nick. And I need to talk to the parents about what they want to do anyway.

Holly- WTG for your son on reading so much! My boys enjoy books, but have yet to take up a love of reading. Makes me a little sad as I, DH, my parents, his parents are all 'readers'. Hopefully it will still happen with Sam.... And LOL about your pants being on backwards while touring the private school! :rotfl:

Now I gotta go to the Gymbo website to look at the pic. I just walked by Gymbo today at the mall- can you believe it? I took the boys to lunch at Chili's since we didn't go on Friday and I had a yen for it...then we got socks at Children's Place, returned some Lands End sandals at Sears, got a chocolate or two at See's, and then boys talked me into these goofy hats they both LOVED at Gap. My taste is rubbing off on them....they turned their noses up at hats at Children's place, Target....

Oh, BTW, if you have any Pampers coupons on you, and you like that brand, Target has GREAT deals on Pampers this week- the regular sized packs (jumbo) are 2 for $15. Then I had 4 $1.50 off coupons, so I got something like 120 diapers for $24. That's cheaper than Costco prices! I think I am set with diapers now til the end of the year, cause I still have a Huggies stash from a few weeks ago. :cool1:

I don't know if I'll ever be able to keep up anymore. Aidan has discovered that when I am on the computer, I am not giving him my undivided attention, so he comes over and pulls my arm and brings me over to the couch to sit with him. Elmo is on right now. Elmo outranks me so I have about 5 minutes. We were supposed to go to an old-fashioned Halloween thing at a local state park but the wind was so bad, we decided not to go. I'm upset because it is one of our family traditions. Aidan is not feeling well again so there was no way I was going to take him in this kind of weather. It has been low key weekend. Emily started skating lessons yesterday. The activities are overwhelming. DH does ice skating though. He and Alex skate while Emmy has her lesson. Both kids have scouts tomorrow which really stinks because we were going to go trick or treating by my mom's tomorrow. Her town actually holds trick or treating the day before Halloween because they think their Halloween parade is so important.

DH and I actually went out last night to dinner and a movie. We saw The Departed. It was SO GOOD. It was bloody but I don't mind that. The script was so well written and it was so well-acted. Jack Nicholson is amazing! It was just so nice to get out alone together. Sometimes I really forget that I like DH and we used to be a couple before we became primarily mom and dad.

Robin - Congratulations on the pg test.

Holly - Your son is the type of kid I love to have in class! Reading is so good for kids. I bet he'll have an amazing verbal SAT!

Diz - I don't blame you one bit for not letting Hannah go to the Halloween party.

nucpharm - I think I would literally die if I every ran out of coffee!

Well, I have to say this weekend has been nice. I only went out with DH and out to BJ's today. My weekends are usually nonstop. I could use a few more like this. I was a good girl in BJ's. I've been trying really hard to avoid impulse buying for Christmas. If you ladies knew how much I usually spend on my kids, I would be mortified. I'm trying really hard to turn over a new leaf. Of course, with the puppy this year, I don't think I have to buy much at all ;) . I almost bought a dog bed for him today but I was nervous to buy one so soon. He goes to the vet soon and I am praying that he checks out well. I don't know what I'll do if he doesn't because Emmy's heart is set on this dog and he was kind of small compared to the others.

We made it to the outlets today and got a bunch of clothes for DH. He's been complaining that he needed a wardrobe update though I swear he has more clothes than I do. They didn't have the bag I was looking for at the Coach outlet so I'll have to get it at the store in the mall. That will be my Christmas present. DH is dropping Lucas off at his parents for the evening, then picking up some Chinese food for dinner. Then we have a fun night of cleaning planned.

justhat - Tuna cookie?!?!? Sounds absolutely disgusting (no offense to those who like tuna cookies).

ginamarie - Hope you had fun at the radio station party. Free stuff is irresistable, isn't it? I hope it wasn't too windy in your area.

val - Glad you got your power back. We were lucky enough to keep ours. The wind today is worse than yesterday.

dizagain - How did the garage cleaning go?

Alice28 - Congrats on the big fat negative! Good luck with the HSG.

llij - Good luck with the party today!

floridafam - Congrats to your DS! I hope he gets to ride in the limo!

DisKim - Glad you had a good time at the movies. I can't remember the last time DH and I went to a movie.

Awwww....she's cute! The face does look familiar. I need Gymbo to hire Molly- I could get some free clothes. :rotfl: And, thanks- I hadn't studied the new line too much and that quilted vest is to DIE for!

Molly is throwing a FIT right now over naptime. This is try #2 to get her down for a nap. We are giving it a half hour of crying it out and then we are giving up and she'll just go to bed at 7:30 or so. Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I hate days like these- I never seem to get much accomplished if she doesn't nap.

Kim- I'm so glad you and your DH were able to have a date night. DH and I have one next Sunday night. A chain called McCormick and Schmicks is having a Veteran's Day thing a week early where all Vet's and active duty soldiers can have a free lunch or dinner. We're there! I think the chain is nationwide now, but it used to be just Portland. Good luck on reigning Christmas spending in! It's so hard! All the stores had their toy ads in the paper today, and one of our local stores has some really great prices on some stuff the boys want. I am so tempted to go buy some, but I already spent my budget on Joshua. Maybe I will show my mom- I don't think she's done shopping for them yet.

I'm trying really hard to get the boys to save their money better. I really need to go to the Disney Store and get $50 in Disney Dollars to give them as their allowances every other week. That way it forces them to save at least half their allowance between now and then for our trip. Sam gets $5 a week and Joshua $3. I keep trying to tell them how much $$ they will have if they simply save it.

SL- I need to get to the outlets this week too. I need some new bras and underpants BADLY. Not to mention I really want to look at the Gymboree and Gap outlets. :teeth:

It's starting to get really cold here too. The weather is a-changing. I will be SO READY for warm Florida in March. Hey, Loretta and Holly - what is the weather usually like at the end of March? We went in early March one year, and I remember it being mostly warm most days, but not necessarily swimming weather every day either. (I think it rained almost every day- that was our rainiest trip as a matter of fact).

Hi all!

Robin--That's good news about the pregnancy test. I must tell you, we had been considering the Nick Hotel for our next WDW visit, but then the whole DVC thing trumped it. So yesterday, Jocelyn goes, "Umm, if we get BCV, does that mean we don't get to stay at the Nick Hotel?" She's been in on all the plans, and it does look very cool. But it's not any cheaper than renting extra points if needed, and the thought of switching hotels with 4 kids and the associated stuff is not very appealing. Try www.nickhotel.com and you'll see how much fun it looks!

FF--There's a sequel to "Eragon" called "Eldest". Jocelyn has read them both, I believe, and Eragon the movie is coming out, I think next year. I find it's tougher to find decent books for boys, and in my case, Robert is extrememly sensitive and feels things very deeply, so I have to be careful about what he reads. Blood and guts don't get him, but beloved characters dying will send him into fits of tears. They must have fun with you over at the private school--"Yeah, that's the mom who says her kids are gifted. You know, the one who can't dress herself!" ;) When considering the schools, don't forget to look down the road at what they offer for your kids. I know they're gifted, and you'll want a school that has the resources for them. Of course, distance learning is hugely popular, so they can likely study at their own pace. This is a big area of discussion in our house, since our district is rural. Right now, we're weighing distance learning versus Jocelyn doing HS and community college simultaneously.

val--Sorry about the power outage. I was waiting for us to lose power as well, but we never did. We did have limbs down, and jsut north of us they got 3-6 inches of snow!

justthat--The only person I can think of who would like tuna cookies would be my cat! Talk about Biscotti Gone Bad...

BnB you made me laugh about your cat and the tuna cookies. I'm just so glad that I didn't take one cause I didn't know what was in them till my husband did and noticed it was very floppy and weird. Another dad told us they were tuna, but too late cause Joey already had one in his mouth!

Dizagain I got your PM and I'll mail out your coupons tomorrow.

Alice congrats on the pregnancy test!!! That is my other hangup with 'adult time'-we have 2 kids conceived on 0 tries.

Well kid 1 is crying so I need to go. I'll try to be back later.

/
Justhat,
Ew on the tuna cookies  . Why would they serve those at a 2 year olds birthday? Oh and we have two kids conceived with 0 tries as well so don't feel bad ;) .

BnB,
Snow would have thrown me into hysterics I'm afraid. I don't think I can handle that just yet but I know it's coming soon.

Robin,
There was a time when my ds was begging to stay at the Nick hotel but now he has it in his head that Nick is for little kids and big kids only watch Cartoon Network  . So, I guess I am off the hook on that one until Katrina is old enough to ask anyway :) .

Oh, and the quilted vest is one of the Gymbo pieces I love. I also love the houndstooth pants and stripy sweather and the beanie hat... okay so I told you I liked that line ;) . At least I'm being good and waiting for a sale.

Congrats on the pg test being negative ! I'm sure that was a relief. I hope the tubes are nice and blocked for you on Wednesday.

SL,
Glad you had a fun day of shopping. Post a link to the bag you want so we can all live vicariously through you. The new computer we had to buy is my and dh's joint gift to eachother this year so no presents for me :( .

Diskim,
I hope the puppy passes his physical with flying colors. How nice that you had a date night with your dh. I really want to see that movie (mostly because Leonardo DiCaprio and Mark Wahlberg are in it but we won't tell dh that :rolleyes1 ). I hope Aidan is feeling better soon.

FF,
I always second guess my vacations too. It's hard to lay out so much money and not have anything concrete to show for it. How wonderful that your kids ave a love for reading. I have tried really hard to instill that in my ds as I have always loved reading but so far he isn't into like I wish. He loves puzzle books and I Spy books and such though. I saved a lot of the books I loved from when I was a kid for him so I hope someday he will love them like I did.

We ended up having a nice lazy day around here. I got some cleaning and laundry done but I spent the majority of my time playing with the kids. Katrina is just getting bigger by the day. It is only 7 pm but it feels like 8 with the time change. Poor Katrina was ready for bed at 6. I'm nervous what time my gang will be up in the morning. I hope we all adjust to this time change quickly. Talk to you all later  .

Good evening ladies! :goodvibes

The guests are gone and we’ve picked up the house as best we could and now it is time to rest! The party was fun and I think John did pretty well for being messed up with the time change and not having a nap. BTW, even though the Costco cake order was wrong it was DELICIOUS!! :teeth:

Now, I’ve got to catch up with studying as this is a big week at school. I’m too tired though!

Val – It is good to see you!! Sorry to hear about your power going out. The weather certainly has been crazy this past weekend! I hope that your gang sleeps in a bit for you tomorrow!

Floridafam – That is great that your kids love to read! :thumbsup2 My dd’s love to read as well and I am so grateful that they do. They get so excited to go to the library or book fairs. Sorry to hear that your dh and Kona are sick. I hope that everyone feels better very soon.

Justhat – I have to say that I’ve never heard of a tuna cookie before. Blech! Did your dh like the cookie? If I don’t get back online before you leave for your trip, have a fantastic time!!! :cheer2:

GLT – I love the pictures of your kids!! Have a wonderful time at the waterpark! I’ll say some prayers that everyone stays healthy.

Robin – Congrats on the negative test!! I’m sending you warm wishes this week for your HSG test! :wizard:

SL – It sounds like your dh had a successful day shopping today. Good luck cleaning tonight. I always dread cleaning….

Zalansky – How is Cam feeling? BTW, I thought of you today! My dh and I were talking about moving to Florida b/c the cost of living here is just getting crazier and crazier. We looked at properties online and I know that you are looking too. Are you going to list your house next spring?

BNBmom – Did you ever get a chance to get a nap today? How did Jocelyn like the dance the other night?

Joats – How are you feeling today?

Nucpharm – I hope you got your coffee fix this morning! John loves that basketball/sports toy and I’m sure Matthew will love it too! It is such a major shift for me to be purchasing trucks and ‘boy’ toys since I spent the past 10 years getting dolls and Barbie doll stuff. Boy toys are kind of fun!

Ginamarie – I want to see a picture of Olivia in her Kermit costume! :goodvibes I hope that you had fun today!

Hillbeans – Liam got up 7 times! Yikes! You must have been wiped out. I feel for you! How did he do last night? John will get us up once a night still, but he puts himself back to sleep pretty well. For me, the sleep deprivation is the toughest part of having a baby. I hope that Liam turns into a good sleeper one day!

Dizagain – Sorry to hear that Hannah is mad at you. How old is she again? It is tough when they hit that preteen age. Meagan is giving me flashes of the preteen stuff at times. Good luck to you! How did the garage cleaning go?

Fabumouse – How is your basement today?

DisKim – I hope that Aidan feels well soon! That is wonderful that you and your dh had a chance to go out last night!

Lissawynn – Sending warm wishes your way that the renovations go smoothly for you. It is tough to live amidst renovation chaos so I hope it goes by quickly for you!

Tasha – I’m sorry that you aren’t going to WDW next year, but it is for a good reason! You’ll be done with school before you know it and then you should have a celebratory trip to WDW! BTW, I think that is so cute that Kylie has firetruck PJs!!

Hi to all the moms! :wave2:

Here are a few pictures from today!

Ok, I've bored everyone enough with pictures! I hope that you all had a great weekend. I can't wait to see pictures of all the DIS babies in their Halloween costumes! :wave2:

floridafam - That little girl does look like Molly!

Alice28 - Disney Dollars is a great idea for the boys' allowances since they can't spend them anywhere else. I think surprising them with a night at the Nick Hotel is a great idea also.

BnB - :wave2:

val - Here is the bag I'm eyeing. I thought it would be good for travel and other times when I don't want to carry a purse.
ec4ba69b.jpg

llij -Great pictures! I can never get tired of anyone's pictures. Glad the party went well.

Has anyone seen the new Playstation 3 commerical with that baby or doll or whatever it's supposed to be? Creeeeeepy!

Hey all! We just got back from a family night out. One of the local churches here had a "Trunk-or-Treat" and carnival tonight, so we hit that until it got too crowded. And boy, did they hand out some good candy (Tamie we filled one of the buckets up to the top! :thumbsup2 ) And then we hit our fav. pizza place for dinner-Yummo! Now both kids are asleep and I'm raiding the candy

DMIL called tonight to let us know that she got Matthew's party invitation and she was looking for a flight to come down for the party! WTH!! I just sent the invitation to be nice, not expecting her to come. But, it would be fun for her to come b/c she didn't get to be with us for Emma's 1st--so now DH is on the other computer researching Frequent flier tickets to get her a ticket as a surprise! He's so sweet sometimes!

Alice--what a relief that your pg test was negative! :thumbsup2

SL--cute purse! I don't think I could ever talk DH into getting me a coach bag as a gift--he balks at the $30 we spend at the pizza place!

Jill--Love the pics!! John looks like such a little man now, not a baby anymore. And the cake did look yummy! My mom is making Matthew's cake, she makes wedding and other cakes as a side business--somehow that gene was never passed on to me! Oh, and I almost bought that high chair decoration kit when I was out shopping for Matthew's party

EEKKK!! Just cleaned up what could've been a major disaster! DH spilled an entire soda on the floor in front of our computer! Luckily, the keyboard wasn't pulled out yet, and somehow he managed to miss the CPU and camera! And thank God for stainmaster carpet!!!!

Oh, I have to tell you guys--DFIL is one of those people who shows his love by giving gifts. So today we decided that we would give him an idea for both kids for xmas. If anyone has today's TRU ad, we suggested that he get the Imaginarium train table and set for BOTH kids for xmas--Well, that just wouldn't do, so he also has to get something else for Matthew and clothes for both---Plus he's getting Emma the Fisher Price Digital camera and clothes for her Bday, and lord only knows what will come for matthew this week. Not that I'm complaining, but unlike my DMIL, it would never cross FIL's mind to come down for the party this weekend even though he could afford to do so. Oh well!

Enough from me tonight--grabbing more candy and heading to watch some tv!

Jill- I love the pic of John sitting on the blankie with the one twin! The look on his face is so cute! And that deck that goes off your house looks amazing! Your home looks spacious!

SL- I dig the bag!

And stupid me, I was at the Disney Store today, with plenty of money in the checking account for once....I shoulda picked up the DDs today.

I will post a picture in a bit of the shower- like I said, I don't have a pic with myself in it, but whatever. That Baby Shower game I talked about was a hit- the one with the plastic 'gun' that had a launcher that 'shot' a baby out and whoever hit the target or was closest to it, won. It was the funniest game ever!

nucpharm- sounds like your kiddoes will have a nice Christmas from Gpa! That would be nice if your MIL was able to come for the party. Thank goodness the soda didn't wreck the computer!

Well, I'm settling in for a satisfying two hours of TV- Amazing Race and Desperate Housewives! I love Sunday night TV! Esp after NOTHING on Friday and Saturday!

fabumouse: OMG that is horrible about your basement but your post made me laugh so hard! I hope you got it all cleaned up and still had some time to relax this weekend :rotfl: as if us moms get to ever relax!

joats:oh sick kids are no fun...I hope jace is feeling better, I use to hate it when ds was sick, luckily he hasnt thrown up in about 1.5 years.....which is great since I cant handle the stomache flu. Im sure Ellie will get it here eventually

Alice:Glad your shower went well; I love baby showers. Isnt it great when they start talking! DS talked really late, and then just took off; so sometimes I still am just amazed when I sit and listen to him. I think Elleanna will talk sooner, as much noise as she likes to make. :teeth: :rotfl: just read about your dh not knowing she was in your bed; sounds about like my dh!

llij: Isnt it nice to get an unexpected Saturday 'off' from activities. Hope you enjoyed your day! WHat adorable photos of the birthday boy!

Hillbeans: Yeah we did the up every second thing Saturday night; I have NO IDEA why they do that; Ellie was jsut thrashing and making noise but her eyes were shut. Hope you got more sleep last night....

Gottalovethem:Adorable pictures of your kids.....thats so funny about the crib! At least they all looked like they were playing happily together; I cant wait for those days!

dizagain: lol about the backrubs!! that is dangerous.... there is no way I would have let her go with her friend either; I am not looking forward to those days...

Tasha: thats too bad about no disney trip - being responsible does suck doesnt it  That is too funny about the pjs; on ds's birthday we went to chuckecheeses, and ds was insistant that he wanted his prize to be 'the stick wiht the star on it'. So he got a glittery, diamond fairy wand...it was hilarious.

lissawyn: that sounds like such a mess but an adventure at the same time! Hope it goes well and quickly!

Buzznbelles mom: we are up early too; apparently Ellie missed the memo on sleeping in an extra hour, so now i am just up trying to keep her somewhat quiet so ds can sleep.

justhat: omg about 4:40! I couldnt think straight that early. Tuna cookie.......seriously? UGGH.

Ginamarie: that amusement park halloween sounds so great! I wish we had something like that around here! Hope you had fun!

Valarie: Hope you enjoyed your day at home and your headache is gone.

floridafam: Oh have fun at AKL! I have never even stayed at a deluxe, but I would LOVE to have a trip in the works! I am so envious. Im hoping for 2008 but something will have to change with our financial situation for that to even happen.....

Diskim: lol about elmo coming first....donald duck comes first around here.

ok baby freaking out thats all i can do......

Good morning everyone, here we are at Monday again! :goodvibes

The kids are still sick but Connor was much better today so he went to school where I was happy to learn that lots of kids are out sick. Sounds bad, I know, but I am tired of my kids being the sick one all the time! Cameryn is still pretty bad but is sleeping through the night even though she is so sick whhich is a huge blessing. I am sick too, but I can handle it. The bad thing is I am still having major sleeping problems which have been worse the past 2 weeks so I am just flat our exhausted. Alas, life goes on!

Jill - more great pics!! I love the hat you got JP. Wish I;d found that one for Cam or something like it in pink, although she refuses to wear hats of any kids. Yes, we are going to put our house for sale after the New Year. It's not looking good though, the market here is crashing bigtime which is great for a buyer - which we will be, but we are not going to make near what we'd hoped as profit on this house. Housing costs in our area got way out of control the past few years between housing costs, TAXES went WAY up, Homeowners went WAY up. Is the bubble bursting near you too?

Robin - glad you got the negative test! WHEW!!!! As for the weather in March I think you're right, it can be warm some days but not warm enough for swimming. Kids may be able to handle it because kids seem to have no nerve endings when it comes to swimming. But not me! March will be here before we know it!

SL - I dig the Coach bag too. Is that going to be a Xmas gift for you?

nucpharm - WOW your FIL is great! Can I adopt him? BTW- we got Connor that Fisher Price camera, I can't wait to give it to him! I think that is a hot toy this year.

FF - I second guess vacations all the time too. I think that is actually part of the excitement for me. Does that sound strange? Right now I am second guessing whether or not we should add on a Saturday night to our November 26 & 27 ressie. Thing is I don't want to "spend" 47 points for a Sat night so I am debating a night at the Swan or doing a night on Priceline.

What would you all do? My thing is it is the weekend after Thanksgiving and remember we are not speaking to MIL and SIL so we will not be down at IL's house. My little family is going to spend the day at my Dad's house (because remember he is housebound in a wheelchair) just him and us 4. It is going to be a little depressing and I figure I will want to get away so badly after that, we should leave on Saturday!!!

GLT - More adorable pics of the kids. I love that they moved the furnture around! They look so cute! How are you doing these days?

dizagain - I too, had a LOL about the backrubs! Is that the male universal sign for you know what? :rotfl:

gina - is the amusement park you were talking about in Farmingdale? I forget the name of it but we used to go there when I was a kid all the time.

Hi to all the other moms!!! How did everyone's morning go with the time change?

Morning!

Here are two pictures of my neighbor at the shower- the first she is opening my gift:
christashower010.jpg

And the requisite cake cutting pic:
christashower015.jpg

I forgot to say yesterday that, yes, FF, I stress out and second guess vacations often. I mean, this WDW thing is turning into a big thing...bigger than I thought. I thought we were only going for 7 days and DH insisted on 10. Now we're adding on another day. We're staying somewhere that costs $450 a night for 5 nights (although my parents are paying for most of that). I keep waiting for airfare to be released and crossing my fingers it will be CHEAP. I just struggle with spending large amounts of money at once and relaxing about it. But every vacation we have been on is filled with great memories that we will talk about for years to come. New furniture would just get written on at this point, knowing my kids.

Z- I think you should try and get a night at the Swalplin or maybe priceline a room at one of the mods for that last night. Your family sounds like it could use some alone time, as well as some FUN!

Staci- My boys were late talkers, esp my 2nd one. But Molly is not- so funny the differences!

I kept having swollen glands the last 36 hours or so (again) and I woke up with #$*& pink eye again! I don't get it cause the kids have been fine. I must not have completely nipped it last time. Not happy, not happy.

Robin - :grouphug: from one sick mommy to another.

I am busy ordering things online again - BAD ME!! BAD ME!!! But, I could not resist! Connor loves his Crocs so I ordered two pairs of Airwalks for Cameryn at Payless. Look how cute they are! And the were buy one get the 2nd pair 1/2 off! So I only paid $20 for both pairs. :goodvibes

Right back atcha! Now I get to go get dressed and take my car into the tire center place- I drove over a nail (this is the second time in this car) and the air pressure light came on yesterday---what a handy thing that is, cause by looking at the tires, they look fine. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to taking Molly and Josh with me... the Game Boy will be accompanying us, as well as some toys for Molly.

My computer is acting up today. DH is sick. I am getting sick. We don't have our pumpkins yet.

My parents just got back from a convention in Vegas and my Dad does not feel well at all. He thinks he got food poisoning at the big banquet on Saturday night. He said the flight out was horrible and he thought that he had met his maker.

FYI-they stayed at Mandalay Bay and said it didn't hold a candle to the Venetian which is where they stayed 2 or 3 years ago. Just in case any of you are planning Vegas trips soon. I feel like going out there. It is so much cheaper to go there than WDW.

I'm going to go heat up some leftover lasagna and pig out. Then, I am going to clean my house again.
