Tasha- Your post cracked me up. Olivia sometimes does weird smelly poo too. Luckily, MIL got to deal with the fabulous aroma tonight, since we were having dinner at her house.

Justhat- I love the cartoon :)

Jill- Poor Katie! Kids can be so mean. When I was in grade school, there used to be this popular TV commercial for a vacuum. It had a song about the “regina steamer carpet cleaner”, so they used to sing “It’s the Gina Weiner Carpet Cleaner.” As I’m writing this I know it sounds so stupid, but I was just mortified at that age.

WDWBetsy- Here’s a piece of advice. Next time your DH starts with the back rub, you have to ACTUALLY kick him instead of just thinking about it. Then blame it on your “deep sleep.” You won’t regret taking Aubree to WDW. I don’t know if I’d be able to leave my DD for more than a couple of days right now either.
I love those backgrounds for Aubree’s pics, even though they couldn’t get her to smile. We snap pictures of Olivia all the time. I just can’t help myself.

Bellacam- Get some good rest. It’s 9 pm or so here, and I know I’m not staying up too late myself!

Joats- I think you’d better consult with your MD. I hope you feel better soon. It stinks to feel sick and tired all the time.

Alice- I’m sending you some e-hugs tonight because it sounds like you could use them! :grouphug:

DH is finally uploading our pictures onto the computer tonight. I had to bribe him with a Slurpee, but it seems to have worked. So I should be able to post some pictures either tonight or tomorrow. I just found out that I have to overnight a bunch of documents tomorrow at the post office. GRRRR, if these motions aren’t off of my work plate soon I’m going to LOSE it.
:furious: :badpc:

OK, the pics are up and I couldn't wait to post them. Too many good shots of da baby.

These are from pumpkin picking/6 Flags (in the outfit from Gems in the Halloween exchange)

Here's one of her princess bedroom.
Halloween3.jpg

Here she is with the completed pumpkin (though you can't see how cute Eeyore came out)

Halloween5.jpg

This is her in the bathroom. Hehehe, she's going to be mortified someday that we showed these to people. We cleverly covered her up with a handtowel in the bathtub. You forget how small they are until you realize they could use handtowels as a substitution for a minidress!

OK, that's my fill for now. At the rate I'm going, everyone will see Halloween pics in time for Thanksgiving

Well, I was all set and ready to head to bed -- was gonna skip DISing until tomorrow -- when I fully realized my cat was missing. I am soooooo stressed out about it. He actually went missing exactly one year ago tomorrow as well and it was about a week later after lots of posters, tears and phone calls, that we found him. I cannot believe he is missing again -- I think it's too crazy a coincidence. I told dh that someone must have kidnapped him, dh says it's because he has some black-cat rituals to perform (he's black and white). I am soooo freaked by it, but it's so darn cold on. So anyway, here I am DISing to vent.

BNB - your post about throwing toys on the ground yourself made me :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: that's a novel idea! Hope the dance went well for you (oh, and Jocelyn too :teeth: )

hillbeans - hope your cat recovers quickly! DS is in gymnastics and enjoys it usually. Hope Kevin had fun.

cabmom - have fun - we are going to one of their sister properties, Blue Harbor, on Sunday.

fabumouse - I make the DIS one of my rewards for getting things done too :thumbsup2

zalansky - sorry the kids are so sick. Sorry Cameryn's was so bad. Leif's had the shots once when he was sick. I don't think it's unheard of, I think they just want Cameryn better quickly -- and don't want the ear to get worse. DD started saying things when she was 3 about me not liking her and vise versa -- I think they are just born to say those things :guilty: I don't get it. But the two older ones tell me they hate me already -- and they are only 3 and 5 - I try to take it as a compliment that I am doing something right.

robin = hope the shower goes well. I have those slamming when mad Mommy moments too (in fact, shortly after Leif was born I broke a plastic spoon and a plastic collandar in my little tirades - banging them against the sink). Luckily , those moments are more behind me, but I did let a big yell go at the kids today, DS's whining, complaining and criticizing did me in.

nucpharm - hello! ham and cheese sounds perfect to me!

tamie -sounds like a busy weekend, have fun!

diskim - sorry about MIL watching Aidan when the house isn't up to par - I have kinda given up on that, but I know how you feel. :grouphug:

jill - hope John's b'day celebrations are a fun! Poor Katie, i can sooo see something like that happening here :grouphug: hugs to Katie.

wdwbetsy - I am sure you and dh will have fun with aubree at Disney!

bellacam - sounds like some great finds, get rest!

joats - call the doc. I hope you feel better soon.

Justhat - you sound busy, good luck getting everything done. I ditto everything you said about dh. It's exhausting sometimes being a do it all mom! :rotfl: :rotfl: funny comic!

gm - oh my about being pg  I'm sure your mom nearly kealed over. LOVE LOVE LOVE the pics! The princess mural is wonderful. You ARE an artist, great work on the pumpkin!! Olivia is such a cutie!

Gems - love the exchange outfit! I hope you and Flumpy & Shelby are doing well!

ff - how nice you could take Kona with you to class. Lots of schools around here discourage bringing sibs. How fun!
Enjoy the facial!

Tasha - your post reminding me that I have to bring in our pumpkins to warm up so we can carve them this weekend. Wow, those day care people are enough to drive a woman to drink!

gina- adorable photos!

gottalovethem: i hope you find your cat!

alice: i know exactly how you feel; i had an old job that i loved so much, where i felt needed and wanted and appreciated, and not that i dont feel that at home, but it was nice to have somewhere in the 'real world' need me too. :grouphug:

joats- hope you figure out what is going on. that sounds awful.....

betsy: lol about your dh adn the backrub....congrats on deciding to take her with, if you dont have one i highly recommend a sling......they are wonderful...how old will she be for your trip?

so dh went back to the doctor today for a checkup with his hand......i guess the doctor kept saying how happy he was that it healed and that he worried about my dh all day yesterday; i guess where he stabbed his hand was real near some arteries and tendons and stuff and it would have been very easy for the infection to spread very quickly up his arm.....but he says it seems to be healing......im glad i didnt know all that a few days ago or i would have been FREAKING out. but sometimes a reality check like that is good for a person, makes me appreciate him more :goodvibes when i think about the possibility of bad things that could happen. I really wish he had a job that didnt leave him so many opportunities to do stupid things that he could get him hurt :sad2: ......

so this morning we went to a halloween party at the library. DS was tigger and DD was piglet. A poor little kid about 2 comes in dressed as Pooh, and very obviously didnt really understand the holiday or the costume, but my ds sees him and starts freaking out because he has been so worried about not having a pooh costume at home.......so he runs over and like MAULS this poor pooh, the kid is so scared, and my ds has no idea why tiggers best friend wont play with him..... :rotfl: . I felt so bad for ds and for the pooh, it was so cute. ds just kept following him around and trying to talk to him and waving right in his face, and the kid just kept running for his mommy.......

going to the inlaws tomorrow........right after swimming lessons with ds. Since dh's hand still has a hole in it I have to get in the water. I HATE being in a swim suit, especially being only a few months pp, and especially since my swimsuit was purchased BEFORE I had either kids, so it is probably a few sizes too small. EVERYTHING is still so squishy, and to make it worse my first boyfriend from highschool (who dh and I are still very good friends with) will be in the same class with his son.......not that i care about looking good for him, but at the same time, he knows what i looked like at 16, it is depressing to think how much things have shifted around (mainly south :teeth: ) in the last 10 years. :guilty: I dont really need to look GOOD for him, but I would prefer not having to worry about whether he was secretly thinking "OMG when did she turn into such a WHALE  ".

have a good weekend.......

staci

edited to say: CRAP!! I forgot to shave..............uggh, guess I am getting in the shower at midnight...........

GLT~ Okay, why did you saying the daycare people are enough to drive someone to drink make me crave a margarita? Hmmm... ;)

GM~ I love the pics of Olivia! And your pumpkin is too cute. I ended up carving Kylie's name into hers on one side and the old standard jack-o-lantern face in the other side. I don't put as much time into it as I plan to when Kylie is a little older and can appreciate it more. I like the Pooh and friends idea for next year though. That's a great idea and Kylie's room is Pooh themed so she would love it.

Robin~ I know what you mean about wanting to be needed outside the home. As much as I miss Kylie and as much as I despise the idea of working when my next is under a year old (which I still may not do, haven't decided) and as crazy as Kylie's teacher is making me, I really do love getting out and having some outside interaction. Even all the crazy school assignments and the stress are worth it to some extent. I just need to be seen as something other than a mom every now and then. So I completely understand.

joats~ I don't know about the rash but could you possibly be anemic? I know every time I have dealt with anemia in the past I would be soooo tired. I sometimes slept nearly 20 hours a day! That is always an indicator that my iron is out of whack with me. I also fainted a couple times and felt dizzy. Of course I didn't have a rash though so I am not sure if that is even close to what you are dealing with but it's just a thought.

WDWBetsy~ I am sure you will have a blast taking Aubree with you. Like I mentioned before, the best trip we have taken was the one we took with Kylie.

Jill~ My last final for the semester is on Dec. 12 (as far as I know. My teacher's are a bit unconventional so they could always have us do it earlier which would be nice as it would mean ending the semester earlier!) and I am out until Jan. 8. It will be so nice having the break!

justhat~ Lol at the comic! That gave me a good chuckle!

bellacam~ I am glad your dh is willing to help you out so much. I remember the last month of my pregnancy and I was so completely worn out and I didn't even have hypertension to top it off. Get all the rest you can!

fabumouse~ I also loved the post about kissing, eating icecream, and pretending he's gay. That was hilarious!

ETA: staci, just saw your post! That is too cute about your ds and the Pooh kid. That poor kid probably was terrified but I would have had a hard time not finding it funny. I think I may just be a bit sadistic though. ;) Of course I would have acted appropriately in public though. Don't want to upset other parents, ya know?

It was cute earlier when I carved Kylie's pumpkin. You know she thinks it's a ball so I had a fun time with her after I cut the top off of it. I opened it up so she could look inside and she just got this incredulous look on her face. It was priceless! I roasted the pumpkin seeds. Last year I burnt them but it was my first attempt ever at doing it. They turned out really well this year. YUM! Kylie even helped me put the seeds in a bowl after getting the pumpkin strings off of them. Well, more like she demanded to help but she really did do a great job for a 1 year old. It makes me look forward to the days of baking cookies together in the future.

I wasn't allowed to celebrate Halloween growing up so this is all new and fun to me! I think we will turn this into a family tradition though. I love traditions. We will take Kylie to the pumpkin patch and buffalo park in October. Then we will carve the pumpkin, roast seeds, and maybe watch a Halloween special. The Charlie Brown Halloween special was on tonight so we watched that. I feel I missed out on so much fun during Halloween as a kid and I don't feel like depriving Kylie of that. I remember being so jealous of the other kids that did celebrate. I respect my mom's religious views and all. I just don't feel the same way so I plan to let Kylie enjoy Halloween to her heart's desire and that includes these newfound traditions.

Did I tell you that Kylie is already a neat freak? Don't know where the heck she gets that from but anyway. She picks up her toys and puts them away every night before bed. And she will throw trash in the trashcan for me! I am loving this phase. I like having the mini housekeeper, lol! I guess I should enjoy it since the teen years will no doubt make this seem like a wonderful dream, right?

Okay, I should get to bed. Have a great weekend everyone!

Tasha--I am so jealous of your "mini-housekeeper". We have none of those in this house--we have mini-destructo's! :rotfl: matthew just goes up to the toy shelves and moves from shelf to shelf throwing it all on the ground, and then when he's done he moves on to the next room. I love family traditions as well! We really haven't started anything for just our family. B/c we spend Thanksgiving with one set of parents and then xmas with the other, we're still doing whatever is tradition at that house. I'm thinking this year, and DH agrees, that we should start having our own (just the 4 of us) christmas celebration before we get to the craziness of the other family.

staci--good luck with the swimming lesson. And I"m right with you with everything heading south after childbearing and birth! The "girls" will never be the same! :rotfl: I have my plastic surgery fund to put them back where they belong, not bigger, but just off my tummy! :lmao: And it's amazingn what a 9lb baby can do to your middle section-and to think I actually bought a 2-piece for our vacation this year (must have been high or hormonal at the time!)

GLT--hope you find your cat! :grouphug:

Alice--I'm right there with you about the job thing. When I went in to train on Wednesday, I got this amazing energy that I don't have at home. I felt needed and appreciated! Being able to use my mind for something other than how long to cook chicken nuggets, what color Care Bears are, and changing poopy pants was really wonderful! I can recall sitting in front of the computer doing some training thinking to myself that I would really like to go back to work, more than just one weekend a month. But then I feel guility b/c I know lots of moms who would love to be able to stay home with their kids, but can't b/c of the financial stress. Trying to find that balance will prove to be difficult for me; I know.

Gina--OMG, I LOVE the princess room!!! You did that yourself???????? Too bad you don't live closer or I would hire you to do DD;s room for xmas! The pumpkin is also really cute!!

Well, I'm being beckoned from the other room. Apparently, Emma needs me to watch Noggin with her--whatever! Duty calls! Have a great weekend all!

Gina those pictures are adorable!! She seems like she really enjoys sitting on the potty too. Madison has that Pooh potty seat in her bathroom, though she thinks she's too big to use a potty seat now so it just stays on the floor. Oh, and my uncle who's 29, he was a surprise baby. My mom has 2 brothers from her parents, then they got divorced and her mom had 1 son and her dad had 2 sons. Then many years later her dad had another son. My christening was actually on his 3rd birthday. So he basically grew up with me since all his siblings were so much older, which was nice cause now we're really close. We wanted him to be Henry's godfather, but our church is so strict we didn't think he could cause they need a letter stating that the godparents attend church each week, which he does not. But then I spoke with someone at the church who said they only need the letter from one godparent, and SIL is a teacher at a Catholic school and she's the godmother so I got the letter from her. Worked out well cause I seriously don't know who would have been the godfather otherwise and was getting kinda nervous cause I don't have any male relatives who do go to church every week.

Gem, those photos of your son are so precious. I love that picture where he's yawning or trying to talk. I bet that got you pretty excited to meet him!

I've gotta get us all ready for the birthday party we need to be at in less than an hour. Henry's really amused by this musical star and Madison's watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so I should take advantage of this to get the gift wrapped and myself dressed. I really think those 4 weeks in utero that Henry skipped make a difference. Until maybe 2 days ago, he was literally a blob. He only smiled when forced, didn't really look at anything, couldn't hold anything, was never awake-always eating or sleeping, and when he was awake he was not happy about it. Granted I know he's young, but Madison was very different, like he enjoyed being awake, didn't need roughly 22 hours of sleep a day, etc. I told my husband that he acted like Madison did when she was around 6 weeks old. Then I realized that if he hadn't been born when he was he would have been about 6 weeks old. But the past few days he's been awake for longer periods a few times a day (about an hour), he smiles and coos when you talk to him, and he's actually able to look at and is interested in stuff, like this musical star. He looks like an older baby, but definitely acts closer to 2 months than 3 months. Well, time to get ready.

:cheer2:  :cool1: Cat's back! I've had him for since '97 so he's a big part of the family. When I told the kids this a.m. that the cat were missing they were already on poster patrol. When I took the dog out we began looking and calling for the cat -- all of us in our pj's :rotfl2: and lo and behold a cat meowed back to us. After repetitive calling and answering we found our kitty and returned him to our chaotic house :thumbsup2 I'm happy.

We've since had pancakes for breakfast - including chocolate chip ones pirate: Now I really have to clean up the kitchen, but wanted to share our good news.

nucpharm - you know, even visiting relatives on holidays is a tradition that your kids will remember. I remember looking so forward to visiting my grandparents during holidays (of course we lived 8 hours away and didn't see them often) but I do have some fond memories -- and to me, that was our tradition.

tasha - love that kylie helps clean up her toys. How I wish any of my kids will do that :cloud9: Leif does help throw things away -- though not always trash

Staci - that pooh story is one for the record book! What an experieince!

gotta post this before Leif makes me lose it - chat more later

Morning...

No time...we're trying to juggle two volleyball games and starting some serious house jobs in case we have to sell. During all of this Hannah is storming around mouthing off because noone will take her trick-or-treating downtown today. Not that she won't have enough of that on Tuesday night as our neighborhood goes crazy. She actually just frightened me a bit...Hayley accidentally exploded a can of Scrubbing Bubbles in the towel basket in their bathroom. Of course I didn't get mad, just told her to bring me the towels and basket liner to wash. Well Hannah goes "If I were a mom I'd spank my kid til he was DEAD for that!" Um,ok. :confused3 :confused3 nice.

Ginamarie - precious pictures and a beautiful mural...do you do that for $$? You should!!!

GLT - so glad the cat came back!! Those pancakes sound super yummy. When are you going to the water park...soon, right?

justhat - glad Henry's perking up! Of course, be careful what you wish for...my boy has no interest in sleeping during the day. It is fun to watch his little personality growing, though. I tried peek-a-boo with him for the first time and he actually laughed out loud. I started crying, I'm such a sap. Oh - LOVED the cartoon!

nucpharm - enjoy the job and really enjoy the adult world!! I have so loved teaching half days the last 7 years and will miss it, I know.

Tasha - have fun with Halloween - you have some catching up to do! It is SO much fun with the younger ones...my kids only really care about candy now. but I'm looking to starting over with Carson next year!

staci - cute story about the Pooh boy. I'll bet your DS was really confused!
Have fun with swimming lessons...I'm sure you look great and that old boyfriend will just eat his heart out! ;)

joats - GO TO THE DOCTOR! :grouphug:

WDWBetsy - cute pics even without the smile! I think you'll have fun at WDW - especially since you now KNOW you made the right choice for you!

bellacam - get some rest!

jill - Poor Katie!!! Don't you just know how awful that was...MEN! Hope John had a blast!

Robin - :grouphug:

Well, now I have to run do some work around here. DH has called me no less than FIVE times while I've been posting. He's at the hardware store and keeps asking me to measure our vent cover things - he is evidently not happy with my measurements and can't find anything that matches. Well, perhaps he should have taken one!

Hi ladies!

Scrapbooking was cancelled last night because our friend who works at the store got sick so I invited everyone to my house to work there. A couple people stayed until 10:30 and I'm still picking up little sticky tab backings. Today is a yucky, rainy, windy day. I have a feeling everyone is going to be a little cranky today so I'm hoping we can brave the elements and go to the mall just to get OUT of the HOUSE. Plus, my reward gift card from My Points came yesterday and I had planned on using it on winter coat for Lucas.

Sorry I can't touch base with everyone individually, but GLT - glad your cat came back!!

I have to run. Hope to get back on later. Have a great weekend!

I know I said I'd catch up today, but that's not happening fully (but I will start). Nor did I still watch Wed night's LOST. Last night Jace started crying and I went in to check and I could smell it...he puked in his bed. It was a rough night of multiple vomits. I had it all over me, DH had it all over him, I can't tell you how many towels, PJs and sheets we went thru. Poor Jace had nothing left in him and just kept dry heaving. THis morning he threw up again and knock on wood he hasn't since 8am. But now, it's coming out the other end. I called the MD as he also has a rash all over his trunk and his face looks sunburned (but it's not). They want us to bring him in. I hope that his rash is not something he got from me. I actually was going to go the walk-in MD today for my own rash issues - my arms are awful. I'll have to wait as I just want to make sure Jace is ok. The good thing though in this awful bout of his sickness is that he is in pretty good spirits and still makes attempts to play but tires easily. He's sleeping now and I'll have to wake him shortly to take him to the MD.

SL: Isn't the weather today dreadful!! I'm not looking forward to leaving the house.

Dizagain: :rotfl: I can't believe Hannah. Where to they come up with those things? I agree, your DH should have taken the measurements himself!

GLT: So glad Kitty is back and ok =^..^=

sorry...jace just started screaming...gotta run...hope to be back later on.

Good afternoon all! It's a crappy day up here in the Northeast, and my mood wasn't improved when DH left to work overtime, after finishing the last of the milk for his breakfast! Gee, thanks for leaving me with 4 kids and no milk when it's pouring out...

But, all is not lost, because he came home from work and said that DVC is not only a "yes", but a "Heck, yes"!!!!! I'm so excited! We've got a contract coming from DVC Resales on 240 points at the Beach Club Villas!!!   I can't even express how thrilled I am!

But there's a kind of funny story on this--I'll probably sound like a total nut job, but things like this seem to happen to me a lot. As most of you know, my mom died in May. We weren't close, mostly because she was mentally (bipolar, unmedicated) my entire life, and then she suffered from dementia the last year. I was very close to my dad, but he died in '94. Well, I'd been considering getting DVC with the money I'll inherit. I'd been doing the research--we have time, the estate is in probate, no rush. Then yesterday morning I woke up with a really clear thought--what we needed was a large contract with the points stripped out for 2006/2007, for the Beach Club. We aren't going again until 2008, so I figured this would be a cheaper way to get more points. Anyway, wouldn't you know, I go on DVC Resales, and they had posted a new sale just that day, for 240 points at BCV for $91/pt. It was exactly what I wanted, where I wanted, a price I wanted. And the kicker was, after I called the resale company and they put a hold on them for me, I got a letter in the mail...from the probate court for my mom's will. Isn't that just the weirdest thing? I just know it's my parents, trying to give something special to their grandchildren.

GLT--Glad your cat came back. We have a black cat that, right now, I would throw outside on Halloween just to get rid of her! She's real skittish and has been puking on my bathroom rug. Of course, our "wandering" cat is my favorite.

Gina--Your pictures were great! Olivia seems to enjoy the potty, so go for it while she's having fun! She's only a month younger than Luke--isn't it amazing how much they change in the first year?

Tasha--I just don't know about your day care people. I mean, I've seen some pretty strange poops in my diaper years--lime green from those colored animal crackers, bright orange from carrots, black lumps from blueberries--you'd think, with their experience, anything short of blood would be a yawn! That's a shame that you weren't allowed to celebrate Halloween as a child--I think my mom would have done the same thing if my dad would have let her. She hated anything but a strictly religious Christmas, too.

WDWBetsy--I'm sure you'll have a fabulous Disney trip with Aubree. I can't recommend Fairy Godmothers highly enough, if you do want an adult evening out. I have to tell you, on our August trip, our 3yo was much more effort than our 6mo. And I second (or third) the sling recommendation--Luke never slept in the stroller, but the sling worked like a charm, and we could take him on rides.

Robin, instead of kicking DH when he does the back rub thing, you could try farting--I hear that works  . But we have the exact same problem here--I really don't like our  time to be "one more thing I have to get done today", but sometimes it feels like that. I also have a rule--if he has to wake me to ask, the answer is "no". And my b00bs are under long term lease to someone else. Fortunately, after 4 kids, DH at least can see where I'm coming from. It's not like I've got my eye on someone else!

Oh, and Robert is such a puker we call him "Barfing Bert". He actually puked in my mouth once. We've had countless nights of the all-night marathon hurling, he swallows pool water until it makes him vomit, the bus driver turned around to drop him off after a technicolor yawn--you name it. How charming!

Jill--That's too bad about your DD, but I can so see how a dad could do such a thing. Yeah, send her on the bus with a case of toilet paper, that'll win friends! Hopefully all will be forgotten at school by Monday.

Hi to everyone else--I have to feed Luke, and Robert reports that DH is asleep on the family room floor.

Oooofda.

What a morning.

I had *planned* on sleeping in this morning.

But it rained for something like 10 hours straight last night/this morning.

And my basement decided to become a wading pool.

Ugh.

So I lug my shop vac, which is starting to smell funny from the last time it flooded (rumor has it - I'm supposed to empty it once in awhile :confused3 ) over to suck up the red sea.

And in goes 37 gallons of water . .. and a few socks. And some pieces of . . . . . pretty pony? .. .. oh well, too late.

Meanwhile, DH is in Iceland - get this - on a snowmobile ON A GLACIER.

Let's play: who would you rather be? Me standing in waterproof gardening boots with one hand jiggling a baby and one hand on the roaring shop vac with a five year old yelling over the din - Momma, READ ME A BOOK!!!!!!?

Or DH doing high fives with his buddies with the wind racing through his hair and his heart filled with awe, viewing vertical ice the size of Texas?

Think about it.

No, really, it's okay, I'll wait . . ... .......

Ack.

________
WDWBetsy - OMG! My DH pulls that whole "let me rub your shoulders honey -you've had a hard day . . " nonsense - :lmao:
Great about Aubree going!

Tkyes - your days sound rather busy!

Ginamarie and Jill - Up until now, I had really hoped that Kailey would quit puking at some point. I'm not really holding onto that hope anymore . .

FF - hope you're feeling better!

Justhat - I really hope you can get some time to yourself one of these days. DH and I also had a recent issue about sleep - he came into our room right as I was about to go to bed at 11:30pm and was very disappointed that I didn't want to watch an hour long program with him. *Duh*. I'm up half the night with the baby and have to get going early in the morning - I was already up way past my bedtime. :sad2:

And your description of Henry is pretty close to Madeleine and she was born on time, so he's ahead of the game! :thumbsup2

Z - how are the kids feeling?

Dizagain - poor Hayley! She must really be feeling those hormones kick in.
And Yikes about Hannah! She's having a day, isn't she.

Tasha- good luck on the cleaning. And those pageant things are scary -- if for no other reason than I have seen the cost of the dresses they sell on Ebay - $700 for a little kid's dress! :faint: Have fun at your faux pageant!

And I have family that is Jehovah's Witness - and I do respect anyone's religious views, but it was hard as a kid seeing other kids my age not be able to do the Halloween (or Valentine's or . . . ) activities. They'd ask me all the details, and I felt so guilty. :guilty:

Jill - I'm so torn between laughing at the cartoonish idea of a kid with a giant pack of TP getting on the bus, and the awful reality of the cruelty children can inflict upon each other. I always envied those kids (and later, adults) who could just shrug it off and say "hey, dad's not that bright" or "I ate a lotta fruit yesterday, need to be prepared" instead of allowing the indignity of it all to fester away. I hope Katie is okay.

Bellacam - get some sleep for me, will ya? I'm beat.

Joats!!! For heaven's sake, call your doctor, you're scaring me! :guilty:

Ginamarie - love the photos! And can I laugh about the carpet cleaner thing? :teeth:

Robin - the last time I re-thought a post and did a major edit, someone had already quoted me.

GLT yay about your kitty!!

Can I have some of those chocolate chip pancakes? popcorn::

Staci - LOL about your son! Kailey does that kind of thing, too and she doesn't get why the other kid is in a blind panic hiding behind a parent.

SL - I would have a heart attack if I had to have everyone over "last minute" how did you ever scrape the food off the floor and find lodging for the 97 "Pretty Little Ponies" and their friends with no notice? ;)

BnB - hoorrrayyyy for you and DVC! How exciting!
"Robert is such a puker we call him "Barfing Bert". He actually puked in my mouth once"
So did Kailey. When she was about 14 months, DH held her up over his head and he was doing this whole laughing big thing and she just went BLEEEEEERRRRRRRP.

:lmao:

Ok BNB and Fabumouse, I will never complain about being covered in Barf again. If Jace puked in my mouth, I think I'd puke right then and there. It's making me queasy just thinking about it!

Fab: What an awful morning for you. Is the basement ok now? I hate this weather because our basement has issues to even though we have 2 sump pumps, etc.

BNB: Congrats on the big o'l yes for DVC!! I'm so jealous! I think your story is sweet (the ending that is). I'm sorry about your mom's struggles with the bipolar. Must have made for a difficult relationship.

Justhat: How was the birthday party?

Nucpharm: "The "girls" will never be the same!" :rotfl: I hear ya! I need to start collecting for my fund!

Tasha: Let me know if your willing to rent out Kylie for some lessons to teach Jace how to pick up! The only thing he does do is wipe down his high chair tray before and after he eats. I hope you will get joy from experiencing the new holiday traditions you are creating thru you daughter's eyes.

Staci: So glad to hear positive news about DH's hand. How scary. How did you make out at the swim?

GM: Gorgeous pictures of sweet baby Olivia!

Robin: Just thought you could use a :grouphug:.

Betsy: I don't think I've even properly welcomed you and Aubree - she's a cutie pie!

Bellacam: Keep us posted when you can. We will be thinking about you and sending positive thougths.

Hey to Gems, FF, SL, Jill, Z, DisKim, J&D, Cabmom, Lissawyn, GLT, Val, Tamie, Hillbeans and anyone else I missing.

We went to see a covering MD in Jace's MD's practice. She seems to think it's just a virus. He even threw up right on the table in the office - poor baby. He's hardly had any nutrients today...I'm just pushing liquids, etc. He fell asleep at 3:30, got up at 6pm was back asleep by 7pm. I am so bummed that we have to cancel our family halloween party for tomorrow. We were all looking forward to it. I'm just hoping Jace will feel better and be fever, vomit and disgusting diaper free tomorrow morning....and that DH and I don't get it!

I will go to the MD for myself tomorrow as well to find out what is up with the rash on me.

DH just got back with take out.
Have a good night.
:)

The shower was a success! Except as I sit here, I realize I didn't get a photo with the guest of honor and myself :guilty: I should walk next door with the camera and we can just pretend it's still the shower. Everyone came, it was really relaxed and fun, and of course she received some DARLING girl things! She loved the Gymbo things I picked out for baby for next summer... :teeth: :sunny: I kind of went overboard, and that's not even all I bought- DH saw what I bought and said, "You better give some of that to her for Christmas or something, cause otherwise you will look like a showoff." What can I say....I love baby stuff! And she's been a wonderful friend and neighbor. :cloud9:

FAB- UGH- what a crappy way to start your day! Hmmmm....I can't quite decide what I would rather being doing- vacuuming up dirty water, or playing on a glacier with my friends. :sad2:

And I edited that, because every once in a blue moon my DH will read these threads and I knew it would hurt him if he saw what I wrote. So I erased it.

I can't even tell you how often I receive the middle of the night or early morning 'back rub.'

Joats- POOR JACE! Here is a hug from me to you and Jace- :grouphug: . I hope he is better soon. I'm sorry you have to cancel the Halloween party.

BNB- Wow, I'm so excited for you about the DVC! What divine timing for everything to fall into place like that! Wonderful! OK, I admit I am a smidge jealous, but still- I am happy for you too! DH said something about if we ever did that, he would want to buy resale at the WL. The other places don't appeal as much to him. I was like, "OK!" I would jump at the Boardwalk or Beach Club though too!

GLT- Yay on the kitty coming back! :cat: I'm sure you were relieved.

Diz- hope you got your home improvement projects done!

SL- You are inspiring me to pull out my scrappin stuff tonight or tomorrow! Just got another batch of pictures printed up two days ago....

GM- those pics of Olivia are great! She has a very cute lil' face!

Staci- so glad your DH's hand wasn't infected! And funny story about Pooh, Tigger and Piglet! :goodvibes Kids are funny, aren't they?

Justhat- hope the bday party went well- which day to you leave for Disneyland? Lucky girl you! Say hi to Monstro for me- that's my favorite area of DL- the Storybookland Boats, Alice, etc. And you will LOVE the new Pirates!

Nucpharm- glad the training went well!

lissawynn- you feeling ok?

Well, need to go start picking up around here, and moving chairs back to the kitchen. A realtor was one of the guests and oh how she was eyeing my house. Esp when I said we have toyed with selling it, or remodeling it... but of course she said how much would need to be done, blah, blah- yeah, we know.

Happy Saturday everyone! :sunny:

We got a nice soaking last night and this morning which cancelled all of our soccer games. Yea!!! :cool1: (Can you tell I am a little tired of soccer?)

I think Katie has survived the whole TP incident. We will know for sure on Monday, but I bet the kids who gave her a hard time have forgotten. (At least I pray they have.) Robin, you are right too. Toothpaste would have been such a better item to take to school. My dh is the sweetest guy around, but he sometimes lets things like this get by and doesn’t realize the impact. Anyway, Katie is at her best friends’ house for a sleepover so I’m sure she is having a blast at the moment.

Tomorrow is John’s party and I went to Costco to pick up the cake and some last minute items. Unfortunately, they got my order wrong and they had to redo the cake. When we went to pick up the second cake, it was wrong too! Ugh. At that point I just wanted to get out of there so we took the cake as is. Oh well….

Joats – You need to get to the doctor soon to see what is up with the rash! :grouphug: Just like everyone else has said, you are making me nervous! I hope that you and Jace are better very soon! Poor little Jace with his virus.

Fabumouse – Holy Moly! What a morning you have had! How is the basement now? I think your dh owes you big time when he comes back from Iceland!

BNBmom – Congrats on DVC!!! :woohoo: You gave me the chills when you told us the story of the timing of how it all worked out!

Floridafam – How was the facial today?

Robin – How did the shower go? I bet it was beautiful! Did you take pictures? Hugs to you about being needed outside the home. :grouphug: I understand how you feel.

GLT – Yea for the kitty coming back!

Ginamarie – Your picture of Olivia are wonderful. She is such a beautiful baby! Did you paint that mural in her room? It is gorgeous! Like everyone has said, you should do that professionally!

Staci – Glad to hear that your dh’s hand is better. I’m right there with you on everything going ‘south’. After a few kids, all my body parts are ‘gravity challenged’. :teeth: I’m hanging south all over. I had a hysterectomy 3 months ago and I am kicking myself for not getting a tummy tuck at the same time! ;) I hope swimming went well for you today!

WDWBetsy – Congrats on taking Aubree to WDW! We took John when he was 6 weeks old to WDW. You will love going with your daughter.

Tasha – Our semesters end on the same day! :thumbsup2 December 12th is my last class and I am counting the minutes! I can’t wait for the break!

Nucpharm – We had the craziness of driving to Charlotte, NC for Christmas Eve and up at 5 a.m. to come back to Virginia to my parents house for the holidays. After a few years we finally said ‘enough’ b/c it was killing us. You will love having the 4 of you together to make your own traditions before you go out and visit with your families.

Justhat – How was the birthday party today?

Dizagain – Did your dh find the vent covers he needed? How did the girls’ volleyball games go today? I cry too when John does something cute, b/c I know he is my last baby. The time goes by so quickly and I want to cherish every moment.

SL – That is great that you had everyone over for scrapbooking especially at the last minute! Were you ever able to make it to the mall today?

Bellacam – I hope you got lots of rest last night!!

Hi to Gems, Zalansky, Hillbeans, Tamie, Val, J&D, Cabmom, Ryan840, DisKim, Lissawynn, Gretchen, DisneyPhd and all the moms! :wave2:

I’ll be back soon to post some pictures of the birthday boy!

Yeah.

Maybe he'll give me a backrub.

:lmao:

Hi again!

I've got some pictures.....

Robin - I saw your post after I posted. I'm glad to hear that the shower was a success! What a great friend and neighbor you are!

ETA: Fabumouse - :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: You crack me up!

ETA: Again.....

I thought I would throw in a picture of him as a newborn. Gosh, they grow up too quickly!

Ok, enough pictures from me! I hope that everyone has a wonderful evening! :goodvibes

Hi ladies :wave2:

Jill - GREAT PICS!!!!! Looks like he had a great time! John is such a cutie patootie!

Gina - Olivia's pics are adorable too and I love the outfit Gems sent you! I love the one of her on the scale. At least I hope that is what that is!

BNB - WELCOME HOME!!! Can I say that yet? You will love DVC and I have to say, I believe in those messages from above too. I mean, what are the chances you'd get the letter the same day? My mom died years ago, before I was married and had kids and I'd suffered a miscarriage after Connor and when I got preggers again (with Cammy) and my due date was what would have been my parents 50th anniversary, I took that as my sign from above the pregnancy was meant to be! Then, when she was trying to be born on my birthday, what further proof did I need? CONGRATS TO YOU and YOUR 240 POINTS!!!! :goodvibes

Alice - Glad to hear the shower was a great success! I knew it would be with you hosting it!

Betsy - welcome to you too! :grouphug:

Well, naturally I don't have time for more and I'll admit I have skimmed the past few pages. I am looking at houses online and dreaming! Hope you all are having a great weekend and though I am not posting alot I am lurking and keeping my eyes on you! :wave2:
