I'll definitely make sure to post pictures later, but right now we've got our hands full with Courtney (Courtney Elizabeth)!! :cloud9: Thanks for all the support and I'll keep reading for comforting and informative posts!!

Hi tinkerbellemom and FlyingBelle - Congrats to both of you!

Welcome Tinkerbellemom and Flyingbelle - Congrats!!!

My DS is 4 months old this friday. I am trying to think back but it was around 3 weeks or so that I moved into DS's room with him. We couldn't handle sleeping in our room with DH and the baby. DH snores and needs to be somewhat awake for work so it was just not working.

Are you nursing? I was nursing and found that laying the bed with DS and nursing him at night was so much easier. He would start out in his crib but by the early morning hours we pretty much co-slept. That was for about 3 weeks until he started sleeping a bit better. It was about 6 weeks when he started sleeping for about 4 hours at a time on breastmilk, rather than every 2 hours. I think a few times he slept for 6 hours at a time. We focused big time on getting him on his nights and days. He would nap in the living room and sleep in the bedroom.

He has been sleeping from 8-9 pm to about 4-6pm since he was 9/10 weeks old. Now he is about 12 hours at night and eats once around 4/5 am.

We weaned to formula at 3 months. He was eating a ton and just couldn't do it anymore. He has actually slowed his growth which is probably a good thing. He gained 5lbs his first month!!

Good LUCK!!! :-)

Isabella is 1 week old today! Last night was the first time she slept somewhere other than our arms. She doesn't like the bassenette at all - but she does seem to tolerate the pack-n-play. Days & nights are reversed - so at least I get a little relief in the afternoon. DH goes back to work on Thurs. - nervous about going solo!

Glad to see some familiar folks from the TTC thread - those were rough days but well worth it so far!

Congrats and welcome to the new mommies :)

Sorry to keep this one short, busy night tonight (not baby related..just doing lots of stuff)

Thanks! I haven't been on the Disboards for a while because they blocked it at work - so I lost my lunchtime pastime! (I work for an eCommerce website, but the company blocked us from going to most websites - does that make any sense?) Now that I'm on maternity leave for a couple months - I will be here when I get a few moments to myself.

Bella is taking a nap now... I'm gearing up for another long night! :surfweb: How is it that I can spend hours online at night, but feeding, burping and changing a little one makes me want to sleep instantly!?!

Found out exactly why Brennan has been a bear for the past few days and probably why his sleeping schedule has gone all crazy. He's gone from waking up not at all or once a night to at least 2 times (sucky!). He's got more teeth coming in. Looks like at least one of the top middle teeth is on its way through the gums.

FlyingBelle - glad to see your little Bella is doing well - hey, I just realized her name matches your screen name - was that intentional?

Syrreal - poor little Brennan! I can't believe how many teeth he has already! Alex doesn't have any yet, although he bites and drools a lot. Sometimes I can't believe they are only a few days apart in age!

Alex is still getting over his cold. He definitely got his appetite back big time, but he's still wiping snot all over me all the time. I hope it ends soon so the little guy feels better!

Hi mommies!

FlyingBelle - I just got her name myself. Very cool! :)

Pollito - glad he's over the cold. Doesn't it stink to see them not feeling so well?

Syrreal - not the dreaded teeth!!!!! I think Christopher is starting to get one. When he chews on my finger, it feels a bit pointy.

DMickey - hi there :yay:

Christopher was miserable yesterday. It's hotter than blazes around here, and he does NOT like the heat. Of course, we don't have AC.... We pu t him in the water for a while, which helped. Today, he's a bit happier :)

Have a great SUnday!

Hi!! Sorry it's been so long!! Courtney has been keeping me up every night since she was born (July 31)! I am breast feeding and since she WILL NOT sleep, I have a rocker with a blanket and pillow that is very comfortable to rest in, set up right next to her crib!! I know it sounds crazy, having a daughter that constantly is hungry and cries, but I am absolutely LOVING being a new mother. It is amazing. My DH can't even understand why I am soo happy!! Who would have thought that I would be this ecstatic about a crying, screaming baby??? Trust me, I grew up with 5 siblings and from my mother's stories, I was prepared for the worst!! I guess I'm just extremely lucky!:laundy:
