We're really excited for the new characters, too! I've been toying with adding Via Napoli to our trip this year. What's your family's favorite kind of pizza there?

I'm a solo, but my favorite pizza is the Quattro Formaggi - it's a "white" pizza (no red sauce) and is basically cheese with I think a little garlic butter on the crust (?). I've never tried the prosciutto and melon, but I've read lots of good reviews of that.

PS it's Sunday again so time to mess around on MDE - I did finally spring for Memory Maker. Now I REALLY hope all the new characters I'm looking forward to are there!

Hi! I've been lurking for over a year now and finally here with my first post! We are hearing back to POFQ 4/16-4/23. We received our magic bands today! Last week I received a booklet from the Disney travel company that includes the magical extras coupons. Last year I think the magical express yellow luggage tags and information were included in this booklet but they weren't included this year. I was just wondering if people have received their luggage tags yet and when/ how they arrived. I could call but you all have so much info I figured I'd check here first. Thank you!!!

We haven't received any of our ME information yet either, so don't worry It seems like a running theme for most people in this thread, that the ME information that usually comes really early is coming wicked late instead. It seems like it should show up for us folk traveling over April Break sometime either this week or next. If you don't have it by midweek next week then definitely call Disney and make sure they know you haven't received it. They should be able to easily mail out new tags.

Guess what was in the mailbox when I got home today! A beautiful envelope with MICKEY on it and a sticky yellow luggage tag inside! DME stuff came!!!

I swear this is the latest I've gotten my DME packet. But it came 3 mail days later than Patster's, who gets there 3 days before I do, so...

I think I'm all set now, except for packing (which I will start this weekend). Time to

I'm having the busiest day today, and I just realized today is one month until we're in the World! We leave for NYC even sooner--3 weeks! Holy moly, time is flying by.

Also, I loved everyone's responses to the last question of the day I asked! I love having park traditions, even if they're small things (I've never not had a Dole Whip, and I think I will always have at least 1/trip), but I also *so* look forward to new things. Trying to find a balance is sometimes the real challenge for me, as we get more Disney trips under our belts.

Same here! But I wanted a nice luggage tag like everyone else. I guess conferences don't rate high enough for the real luggage tag.

Are you booked with a package, or is it a room-only booking? The luggage tags with Disney characters are for package bookings. I believe they are sent with the magic bands.
All of my past reservations have been room only, so no character luggage tags for me.

We received our magic bands and luggage tags yesterday (so excited!!!) and I decided I just had to have a few more cute Disney luggage tags. They have a great selection on the Shop Disney Parks app plus there is a 15% off sale right now!

Good Morning Sunshine- 23 days to go- Anyone finished packing yet? all of the traveling party is now off for Friday April 15th, so we can leave earlier in the am for the drive to WDW. We purchased Teva sandals for the trip from amazon- holy cats they are comfortable-check them out. (little pricey but-I really don't want to wear socks in the sun...)

Another good purchase on amazon is a 16700amh battery charger- 30 bucks (can charge IPhone 6-6 times, got it for the camera battery re-charge)

Good morning! 14 days to go! Packing has not begun, but we are accumulating a small pile of things we want to take. Keens are the sandal of choice for my son, and I bought a pair of the Skechers GoWalk shoes. So comfy!!! Just a few days until we can see the weather for our trip in the 10 day forecast. That's when it really starts feeling real to me!

We will be traveling 4/24-5/2 and staying at the Grand Floridian Villas. My parents are coming from W. Mass (I saw a few others out there!) and we are traveling from Brooklyn, NY. We are DVC owners but it's our first time staying at VGF. All of our FP+ and ADRs are ready to go and now I just need to pack.

I've got to say- reading so many negative posts on these forums is starting to bum me out. I'm so excited to take my son and watch him experience everything, but the volume of negativity makes me scared! I think we are going to have a great time! But maybe I'm delusional? Dunno.

Don't listen to the masses. Everything is what you make of it. Have a plan, be flexible and not militant, take breaks in the parks, hydrate, don't chase ADR's and fast passes, enjoy with the family!

That is definitely my plan!!!! I'm going in with the attitude that we are going to have an awesome time! I grew up going to Disneyland, and the same overall strategies we used there work great at WDW! No ADRs or fast passes necessary. (I booked some fast passes, but only one ADR, and I may cancel that one too!) I've never NOT had a wonderful time, and I don't plan to start now! I'll walk right past those whiners, Dole Whip in hand, and enjoy every minute!

We are at the one-month mark today and haven't started packing yet. I have started making a list to make sure I pack everything, at least! I have been thinking about ordering some Chacco's sandals but really want to try them on first instead of just ordering online. Anyone else have experience with these and whether you've found them to run big, small, or as expected?

I am feeling a little frustrated with yesterday's announcement of the new Disney After Hours event and the Early Morning Magic item that appeared on the dining page this morning, and wondering what the impacts will be on our trip. One of the After Hours dates is our MK day, which was originally projected to be the best day for MK that week - and now there could be higher crowds drawn by the After Hours event since they can enter the park at 7:00pm. It's irritating that they are putting this info out now and we still haven't heard anything about ROL. I have the rest of our trip planned out with some space to move things around if needed, so I guess I will roll with the punches and just see how it plays out.
