It's $149pp for 3 hours after closing, but ticketholders can enter the park at 7:00pm, so they'll really get 6-7 hours out of it if they arrive then and there will be 3-4 hours of overlap between regular ticketholders and DAH ticketholders. It's unknown whether the DAH ticket will come with the ability to book FP+ between the hours of 7:00pm and park close, so they could cause standby line times to increase during those hours if they can book FP+.
From what I've read, closing times for regular ticketholders aren't technically being reduced from what's already been announced - they are just reduced from what the normal hours have been in years past.

It's still not worth $149 bucks plus tax per person. A ticket holder for the event may be able to get in a 7pm- but the complimentary stuff is not available until the start of the after hours

I really don't see many takers for this. MNSSHP and Christmas party at 75 bucks a ticket compared to this event is really not very enticing.

Fully agree with you here, and that's the same sentiment I've seen from most on this board. I'm still concerned that there are people out there with deeper pockets who might feel differently. We won't know until the events start, and not knowing is what bothers me.

I've got to say- reading so many negative posts on these forums is starting to bum me out. I'm so excited to take my son and watch him experience everything, but the volume of negativity makes me scared! I think we are going to have a great time! But maybe I'm delusional? Dunno.

I have seen a lot of negativity about Disney on the boards for the past 3 years now, since I started to become more active and really was reading more and more. But it hasn't put a damper on my trips! Honestly, the only negative trip I've had in that time was because of family issues, not because of Disney itself! I've decided to just live in my own little, Disneyblogging bubble and ignore everyone else.

We are at the one-month mark today and haven't started packing yet. I have started making a list to make sure I pack everything, at least! I have been thinking about ordering some Chacco's sandals but really want to try them on first instead of just ordering online. Anyone else have experience with these and whether you've found them to run big, small, or as expected?

I am feeling a little frustrated with yesterday's announcement of the new Disney After Hours event and the Early Morning Magic item that appeared on the dining page this morning, and wondering what the impacts will be on our trip. One of the After Hours dates is our MK day, which was originally projected to be the best day for MK that week - and now there could be higher crowds drawn by the After Hours event since they can enter the park at 7:00pm. It's irritating that they are putting this info out now and we still haven't heard anything about ROL. I have the rest of our trip planned out with some space to move things around if needed, so I guess I will roll with the punches and just see how it plays out.

I dislike this new thing too. I'm hoping that it will crash and burn and I really hate thinking that, but I mean I actually liked the after hours Epcot event a few years ago and that fell apart (and was only a third of the price!) so I don't have high expectations for this. Most of our nights end up being MK nights for us, whether we mean them to be or not so I'm sure we'll be in the MK that day and we'll just see how it goes.

As for packing....haha, nope, not doing that yet. I need to get my luggage out of storage still! I've been putting it off because my parents need to go up to the storage area and get their luggage for their trip in a couple of weeks so I've been putting off getting them so we can go pick them all up together. But I'm starting to get antsy! I'm thinking of at least taking photos of the outfits I intend to bring with me so I remember what pieces I need to pack

Well im back to planning an april trip. Last april we went as a family. My daughters cheer team just won a bid to compete in disney. We are booked at CBR 4/27-5/3, just me and my daughter, we are staying with her friend and friends mom. This is the hardest trip to plan because we have no idea when they will compete. So excited though!!

Also- crowd levels really are not as much as Easter and summer. Don't understand the need on the post Easter dates for this. Especially with no special parades, fireworks or decorations. All I see is a few popular rides, ice cream and a beverage.

Good point. Our first trip was during Easter week last year, so maybe that's where my (possibly unreasonable) worry is coming from - those are the only crowd levels I have experience with, even though I know they're projected to be a bit lower in late April.

Like April 21 is a event day. Crowds are not bad

We're going 4/23-5/2. Our MK days are planned for 4/26, 4/28, and 5/1. 4/28 was EasyWDW's most recommended MK day for the week - so I just have that small worry in the back of my mind that the new "After Hours" event could make it more crowded when I was really looking forward to going at a lower crowd time. The good thing is that we will have multiple days at MK to fit everything in that we want to see/do.

Just found this thread! We're going 4/7 through 4/10, staying at POFQ. It's just me and my husband, celebrating our second anniversary, and it's my first time at WDW. I'm so excited! And double excited that even though I only started planning the trip 2 weeks ago, I was able to score a CRT ADR and a pre-park open BOG ADR! :)

That's impressive! I had to search for quite a while for both of those ADRs on our last trip. Sounds like you'll have a happy anniversary!

I know! :) I was worried after reading some of the posts that we wouldn't be able to get either, but obsessive checking paid off. I guess it helps that we're getting close to it, so people are making changes to their plans. Either way, I was very grateful!

We are 30 days out and I thought I would be able to preorder for BOG today....but it must be 30 days from your reservation...? Can anyone confirm that for me? It says I can preorder on March 25.

Excessive and unwarranted negativity is skyrocketing IRL, so I think that's why we're seeing it here as well.
