***The Official April 2016 Thread!***

We're a month away!

And....we're changing an ADR lol! I'm usually very set once we've done the planning but with this trip I've just been tweaking like crazy. I don't know what's up with me! We dropped Chef Mickey's a while ago because it just didn't seem like a good idea, and picked up Sanaa instead. And then this morning I suggested dropping Tusker House! It's one of the better meals we had the last time we went together, but neither Jey nor I are big breakfast people so it's been nagging at me that the buffet'd just be a waste of money.

Now we have to find a place to go that day and it opens up a whole new can of worms, lol!

here's another Question of the Day! What's one tradition that you'll make sure to fit in this trip, and one element of your upcoming trip that's completely new to you/your family?

Tradition: Haunted Mansion is the first attraction we'll do in the World, just like always!

New: We're going without Memory Maker. We've always gotten it in the past, and we love the pictures we get, but we're on a shorter trip this time around, so we've decided to save a bit of money. We have tons of ride pictures, and we'll hand our cameras off for character meets (MM is included at Club Villain, which is the most unique event we have planned this time too)

Since 1st trip in 1977- we always play a round of miniature golf at the Pirates Cove. Although we wont on this trip (maybe). We also have a picture from Splash Mountain from every trip. (2 in California too!).

New- 1st time on Disney Property, memory maker, magic bands and most important-grandsons first trip.

Magic bands are sitting in the local post office as of this morning-delivery scheduled some time today.

Second pair of bands was shipped today! And we traded in our ADR at Tusker House for Whispering Canyon, something we've never tried before :)

Our tradition is going to Magic Kingdom for our first park day. Sometimes we do a pre-park day in Disney Springs, but our first main park is always MK. It's also our last park every trip.

Something new...besides just a bunch of new restaurants I think the big something new is our hotel. I've wanted to stay at FQ for years now, and I always wanted it to be my first Moderate. Of course, it'll be my third Moderate at this point but that's okay; I'm just glad I get to stay there finally! Especially because everyone I know who has been there and knows me assures me that I'll fall absolutely in love with it the moment I walk into the lobby.

Us too! I have done all I can at this point. FP+ and ADRs made...online check in done ..in 10 days I can order our BOG lunch....just need to pack and we are off to Coronado Springs for 6 days!

We leave in 35 days! Have to do online check in (I can do that now, right!?) but had forgotten about preordering for our BOG lunch!! Woo hoo! We can do that at 30 days out, right?

Love your questions of the day! It is fun to read everyone's responses.

Tradition: Eating at T-Rex in DS. We don't have a ton of traditions. We like mixing it up.

New: First time doing the water parks, Flower and Garden Festival.

You can do online check in at 60 days and preorder BOG at 30 days....39 days but who's counting! Lol

Whispering Canyon is so much fun! I hope you have a blast there! (Don't forget to ask for ketchup, or a new fork)

We are 35 days out! Still watching for a RoL Fastpass at AK. Hoping for early completion of Midway Mania 3rd track or a soft opening of Frozen ever after! (Not gonna happen)

Going to surprize the family with character magic bands this week to celebrate our 30 day countdown!

Magic Bands came! Huzzah!

Had to snap a quick picture for Instagram because that's just the type of person I am apparently.

The pink and purple ones are mine; Jey's are both grey since she wanted the grey for her collection initially and didn't want to customize. I couldn't pass up the purple, and I needed a new pink one because even though I have my Daisy one from last year I never got the Daisy luggage tag until now :)

No DME paperwork yet here either, but it's not really an issue for us - we'll be picking up our luggage at the airport anyway since we get in too late for it to be picked up since our flight's after work for both of us.

here's another Question of the Day! What's one tradition that you'll make sure to fit in this trip, and one element of your upcoming trip that's completely new to you/your family?

Tradition: We've only been once before, but one thing we did last time that we will be repeating this time is to spend our first morning in MK, beginning with a pre-park breakfast at Crystal Palace. This was the first response I got from both DH and DD when I asked for input on what we should be sure to repeat this year.

New: Since this is only our second trip and we only stayed for five days last time, there are a lot of new things on our "to-do" list! Lots of rides (we missed many of the classics on our first trip, which I wrote about in an earlier post), RoL, Club Villain, Star Wars fireworks, staying at AoA and Poly (we stayed at Pop last time), and trying out a full break day in the middle of our trip. We're staying twice as long this year and I still don't feel like it's going to be long enough!

To answer the latest QotD:

Tradition: I'm gonna say Pizza Night at Via Napoli. I book that every year as soon as my 180 Day mark hits.

New: well, I'm excited for some NEW new things like SW fireworks, meeting Chewie, seeing Judy & Nick at Move it Shake it, and hopefully meeting Joy & Sadness and maybe even Olaf. But for something I've meant to do for a while, I am finally determined to visit AOA this year to look around and take pics.

Quick Question,
how long do they keep the Easter Decorations up ? i get there on the April 2nd, and was hoping to see some.
thanks

We're really excited for the new characters, too! I've been toying with adding Via Napoli to our trip this year. What's your family's favorite kind of pizza there?
