The most annoying or aggravating thing you see at WDW.....get your flames ready!

My WDW pet peeve is people waiting for their fast pass return times to roll around while standing directly in front of the fast pass entrance. It looks like there is a line but it's a big group of people just waiting for another 10 or 15 minutes to pass. Move aside and let folks who are actually within their fast pass time window through!

Isn't it funny that the whole point of a fast pass is to avoid waiting in line, and there they are...unnecessarily waiting in line. :confused3 Then, when you go past them (since your fast pass time has already come), they give you a dirty look like you're cutting!

People who do not give you enough personel space in line. They are practically on top of you. Everyone will get a chance on the rides why do they have to be so close.:upsidedow

That's probably my biggest peeve. One time at DL, we were in line for Splash Mtn (probably the longest line there), and this little boy around 6-7 kept bumping into me. I think I said something like, "uh oh, be careful" the first time he did it. After the next few times, I gave DH that bug-eyed "I'm going to lose my patience" look. He told the kid to please stop bumping into us. Unfortunately, it continued through the whole queue, because they were from another country & didn't understand English. :headache:

I've solved this problem in the past, when the polite approach fails, by taking a half step backward that places my bony heel directly on the offending party's toes. A quick, 'Excuse me', and that's the end of it.

Okay, I can't resist! It bothers me when people go to the Magic Kingdom not prepared to wait. Everything has lines - everything! We were in front of this woman at Cosmic Ray's ordering our food. There was some kind of problem where the order did not print in the back when we ordered. So we waited...and waited. Yhea, I was hungry and hot and tired, but stuff happens. The CM was very apologetic, explained the situation and went to check on our food. This woman said very loudly, "It figures it would be me since I have a plane to catch!" She then started pushing forward into my DH's back as if that would make our food come faster. Yikes! Why would you come to a frantically busy restaurant, in the Magic Kingdom, at lunch time when you have a plane to catch?!?!? She just kept fussing and whining the whole time. She was red-faced angry - bless her heart.

Yet at WDW I have heard a number of times people walking along dropping the F-bomb like it was the world's most common adjective, adverb, noun, you name it!
It is the world's most common adjective, adverb, noun, etc. There's a funny PSA-style parody video that explains this available on the web, but it's not appropriate for "sensitive ears." It should be available in a Google search.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when I see parents letting their children do things they obviously should not be doing. When I was there a few weeks ago I actually saw a woman sitting on a curb watching her child pulling flowers out of a bed and throwing them on the ground. And I mean roots, dirt, and all. And in a fenced off area no less. She was just watching him do it! A CM came over and gave the lady a look of utter astonishment like "are you not going to DO anything about this????" and when she still did nothing to stop the kid, the CM climbed over the fence, physically removed the child, and then had to replant all of the bunches of uprooted flowers.

I haven't read all seven pages yet but with my memory issues I wanted to address this before I forget *LOL*

To the folks talking about the speed of the ECV's; you should know that they have two speeds; moving and stopped. There is no way for someone driving one to control the speed at which they travel. I think someone mentinoed that they need to be 'tuned down' and that is a very good point- they need to be adjusted at a mechanical level because there is only an on switch for the driver to push, usually a thumb control, and back when I was able to use ECV's instead of needing someone to push me around the parks (with my balance/issues now, I don't drive a car so if I tried to drive an ECV I'd end up parking it at the bottom of the World Showcase lagoon and likely be asked never to return to the Happiest Place on Earth *lol*) I got some that went faster than others. One time an EPCOT cast member even said to me, "Be careful with that scooter, it has a mind of its own" She knew by the number on it that people had found that particular ECV moved faster than others.

I just wonder why people judge others so much when it comes to why someone is using an ECV? To the thin people who think that just because someone is overweight it's the only reason theyr'e in it, how do you know?

Do you also know that a LOT of medications that ill people routinely take cause massive weight gain that no matter how little the person eats, they have no control over? This happened to me. I've lost almost all my Prednisone weight after discontinuing the drug but it took a LONG time and has not been easy.

My biggest pet peeve I guess. . .would be people who believe their way is the only way and jump to conclusions about their fellow guests.

But to the other gripes LOL I'd add the "Disney Duh's" (That is GREAT, btw, thanks to the person who coined that!) and smoking outside areas, and people using cell phones in shows.

If you have someone stationed overseas or something, that's one thing. But people who call each other and say "Where are you?" "I"m in the gift shop!" "We're in the gift shop too, what are you buying?" and literally talk to people 10 feet away instead of going up to them and talking. . .that just frosts my cookies.

Smoking outside designated areas too- cause I have lung issues, that is a big dampener for me. I can't tell you how many times I have had to leave fireworks shows because people lit up, right in my face, in the handicapped viewing area no less! Once I had an asthma attack from it, we were stuck in a crowd and it was hard to get out- I had to get my inhaler out, and the smoker gave me a dirty look! I wasn't trying to make a point just breathe.

whew that felt good! ROFL!!!

My biggest complaint on my last trip was the rude people on cell phones. YOU ARE ON VACATION! PUT THE PHONES DOWN FOR AWHILE! People were even talking loudly in the shows and on the rides. The rest of us don't really want to hear all about your private life.

Last Sept., I was on my cell phone several times checking on the status of the child we were waiting to adopt. We were expecting him to be ready to travel at any time, and I needed to keep informed about that. (And I did receive a few dirty looks - although I tried to be somewhat off by myself). This thread is way too judgemental - there is no way any of you know someone's individual situation. Also, my DD hurt her knee at MK and was in a wheelchair for most of the time, but was able to walk for short spurts. We received nasty looks about that too. I now know what irritates me the most at Disney - judgemental people.

OMG that is so true! Last time we were there, I was just shocked by the, er, colorful language! I could just imagine someone's kid hearing it and deciding it was their new favorite word *lol*

My biggest peeve is being in the parks with my family behind someone who is walking and holding a lit cigarette cupped in their hand pretending to hide it while a cloud of smoke is landing right in our faces. My DD, bless her heart, always seems to have a coughing fit and waves her hand to clear the smoke whenever this happens - although it never stops the smoking person or gets an apology, it makes us smile! My question is, why is it we never see any CM's policing their non-smoking policy? We've even seen cast members walk by these people seemingly oblivious to the cloud of smoke going by them!

The only person you aggravate when you get aggravated is yourself. Sure I don't like getting hit by an ECV or standing in line, or inhaling smoke. And yes in my mind I think what a jerk.... But If I let that thought pattern go too long my day gets ruined. Lines are a good time to talk about what you did and what is coming next and remember other times at disney. Sometimes you do have to stand up for yourself and say something. If you are looking at every stroller or ECV as an enemy how can you have a good time? Sometimes talking to people to distract yourself is a good thing. Focus on the positive, Glad I don't have to be in an ECV and maybe I'll push my grandkids in a stroller someday-can't wait!

Your story reminds me, one time I actually got burned by someone's cigarette while we were in Epcot! Being lower to the ground in a wheelchair, someone had been holding their cig away from them (down and to the side) and they were gesturing as they were talking. We're just walking by them, and I hear this noise, like someone putting out a match in water, and then I feel searing pain and realize, my arm just got burned!

I said "Ouch!" and the guy turned around, glared at me, then took a long drag and walked away!

I spent an hour in first aid and the rest of the day melting ice on my arm :( It hurt the whole trip.

To the 2 or 3 posters commenting in a negative way towards overweight people, get off your high horse and don't be so judgemental. You don't know the circumstances, so MYOB!

To the earlier poster who mentioned "rail sitters", I agree 100%. Kids get up on the rails, then get down, walk 6 feet and right back up again. I wonder how many times a year injuries occur from kids acting like they are on a jungle gym.

Allie, I appreciate your opinion, but believe me, I dont spend my vacation looking for things to get annoyed about, and even if I did, its MY vacation and can do with it as I please.

With that being said, again, I am not trying to judge anyone. Far from it. Its just an opinion and my take on a topic.

Furthermore, this is a message board, and not every topic is going to be always positive upbeat, and fluffy. Sometimes, things are put on there to spark interest. If you dont like the topc, don't post.

You are the one who posted the negative thread topic. I am not the only one who was against what you said so don't jump on me. I am expressing my opinion just like you expressed yours. You don't like my opinion and I don't care for yours but don't tell me not to post. If you don't like someone posting a negative response to your topic, then you don't post.

People who just stop in the middle of the row and plop down and then everyone else is forced to step over them....sometiems their feets get accidentally stepped on...;) (not kids)

On our vacation last month, we were in an attraction, think it was Philharmagic...

There was a cast member, who kept shouting "Please Move all the way down to the end..we have a full house!"

He said it over and over again.....He literally said it to every last person who sat in the middle, got up and moved down to the end of row

It was hilarious and a lot of people were clapping:cool1:

You go CM!!!!

The irony of this story and others like it, is if the commandos who need to be the first ones through the doors would exhibit just a wee bit of patience and let others enter first, they would end of right in the middle of the row without making anyone else step over them.:rolleyes1

Although I have opinions about many of the things that have been posted here, I will keep them to myself since I feel the intent of this thread is to vent about things that aggravate us, not to debate the validity of that aggravation. In this manner I feel we can keep this thread civilized.

My aggravations:

1. Brazillian tour groups

2. People smoking outside of DSA's.

3. Flash pictures on rides that forbid it.

4. USing cell phones during rides and attractions (aside from the unnecessary chatter, those things are friggin BRIGHT).

5. People being slobs and not cleaning up after themselves.

6. Pool hoppers

7. Heelies

8. Rude people (kids/adults)who push, shove, cut, use foul language, spit, pick fights, scream at others, whizz anywhere but in a toilet etc...

But frankly, anything I see merely gets a shake of my head and 5 seconds later I'm all "Oh yeah...I'm in Disney...WOOHOO!!"

The only thing that has ever bothered me at Disney is the people who shove me and my kids to squeeze in after we've waited over an hour for a parade. On our last trip we were sitting waiting for a parade and some kids in the preteen age range were trying to squeeze in they kept kneeing us in the back and hitting into us and then one actually fell on top of me and it hurt like crazy. It took everything in me not to say something. I bit my tongue because my kids along with everyone elses were there. I did give the kid the evil eye and she got the point and they moved.

I admit I've done stuff like that before (like 'accidentally' having my elbow sticking out too far, so that's what they ram into the next time they bump me).

Oh, and your picture makes me thirsty!!! 2 months til I get my Spaten at Epcot. :drinking1
