The most annoying or aggravating thing you see at WDW.....get your flames ready!

Rail Sitters!!! I always seem to get stuck in ride lines behind kids that sit on the rails facing each other and get into a conversation that is so intense (to them anyway!) that they completely ignore the fact that the line has moved. Now I know I'm being impatient, but the same scenario happens about once every minute or so. Hello -- can you not see the line is continuously moving? Just get down off the rail and stand like the rest of us to keep everything moving in an orderly manner.

As far as the ECV issues, I agree that the real problem is the "speed" factor. They should be regulated so they go slower...I bet the "hit and runs" would drop dramatically. For the most part, I feel a large percentage of the people that need ECV's know how to use them and I'm glad the use of them makes WDW accessible to many that would not be able to go otherwise -- but the newbies really do need to have an open area to practice in for a few moments to become famililar with the unit.

I think Disney could be more proactive about the complaints stemming from stroller/ECV use. Maybe we need to use the moving walkway strategy the airports use (well kind of!) and have people with ECV's/strollers stay to the right of the walkways so pedestrians can safely pass on the left.

Also, as far as bus transportation goes -- the number of guests requiring wheelchair assistance has increased ten-fold. It's really getting to a point where Disney needs to have buses dedicated for that sole purpose (along with a separate que). Half the bus could be for the units themselves and the other half could be seating for the family members accompanying them. They should have a set pick-up schedule at the resorts, and could keep looping around when the parks close until everyone has been loaded.

One of mine has to be parents letting kids run wild, I have seen it in Disney and in general. Disney is for letting loose and having fun, but there is a point where it turns rude and obnoxious.
We were at a famiyl restaurant recently There was a group of young children at another table, not bad kids but they were young and loud and the parents who were sitting 2 tables away just let it go on and on, I mean screaming we want food! we want food! while slaming their hands on the table, bouncing up and down in their seats, I mean really bouncing all at once on their knees like it was a trampoline.
The table of adults next to them where like OMG. :scared1:

It's funny, some people might think I don't like children b/c I actually expect their parents to help them to behave (no running around in the restaurant, removing them when a tantrum occurs, telling them to stop hitting that nice lady with your new plastic sword), but my biggest complaints are about what adults do to children at WDW.

We were eating at Plaza restaurant one afternoon, and next to us was a woman with her infant and pre-schooler. I looked up and she was just GONE, kids are sitting at the table alone, and the waiter is spinning in circles trying to find her. I realized she had gone out to smoke, and was standing next to the window watching them. A CM walking by appeared to tell her she couldn't smoke there as it was a non-smoking area. So she WALKED AWAY, down to the pond area, leaving her children entirely alone and unwatched in the restaurant. Just so she could smoke. We were appalled. These children were in no way of an age to be left alone. There are so many many things wrong about that, but just let me say the most important is that WDW is still reality, and I can guarantee there are plenty of child predators that consider it a great place to visit.

Another thing that bugs me are people who curse loudly. Now believe me, I get how sometimes it just pops out. Just the other day I was at the grocery store standing less than a foot from this little girl. She suddenly shrieked bloody murder and it startled me so badly that out popped, "SON of A.." but I caught myself and just said, "biscuit eater." But yes, I have stubbed my toe before and said something I really didn't mean to say in front of my nieces. Yet at WDW I have heard a number of times people walking along dropping the F-bomb like it was the world's most common adjective, adverb, noun, you name it! I really feel for parents who are trying really hard to not expose their kids to that (Esp. b/c you know10 seconds after hearing it they're repeating it like crazy..usually to the last person you want to hear it, like your MIL :scared1: ).

Sunburnt babies. Especially when the stroller has a canape and the parents are still not putting it up.

Terrified children being forced onto a ride. I once saw a little 3-4 year old boy not just crying, but screaming hysterically being pulled by both parents into the Haunted Mansion. He was yelling, "please mommy, no, I don't want to, pleeeaase!!" He finally got loose and just laid face down on the pavement with his arms splayed, still sobbing. Finally his parents saw everyone giving them the evil eye, and they booked it.

People who are seemingly trying to get intimate with me in line. If I can smell the Juicy Fruit on your breath (I'm lucky if that's as good as it gets) then you need to back off!

What aggervates me is when people finish there food, they leave there trash on the stone walls and benches. I mean, how many trash cans are in the parks. They cant walk the extra steps to throw away there napkins? gaahhh!

Almost every morning we were waiting for the bus at the resort, to go to the park, families would mob the bus (bypass everyone waiting in the line) as soon as it showed up. Didn't ruin the day but it made me dread waiting each morning.

I have a few:
1. People with strollers that use them as a weapon to fight their way through crowds
2. Parents SCREAMING at their kids in the middle of the happiest place on earth. There are better ways than to embarass your entire family AND make my stomach turn.
3. People complaining OVER AND OVER because they had a "reservation" and their table should have been ready by now. Can't you see all the other people waiting too?
4. People yelling at the bus driver because it took them so long to get to the bus stop. Some people just don't get it.

Umm, how about on my last trip when a woman using an ECV on the bridge over to Tomorrowland just decides to suddenly start backing up without looking in a huge crowd of people trying to find a good spot to watch Wishes? :sad2:

My issue with ECVs is less to do with the reason the people are in them then the attitude these people have. Apart from very rarely getting an apology out of someone in an ECV who has just hit you, or their seemingly rediculous belief that they have to travel at the full speed of the vehicle at all times we have my personal pet peeve. The ECV users who show up at the bus stop AS the bus is pulling up, and there has been a line of people standing there for a long time and they automatically wheel right up to the front and get on that bus like it was coming just for them.

It's not even that it's the fact they do this that aggrivates me the most it's the fact that they take their whole family on with them before the rest of the line is allowed to board the bus. I understand if they are alone with children letting the children on but when they have a wife/husband and several teenagers with them they should be forced to only have one attendant with them and the others should be made to wait in line. Once last year an ECV user got to the bus as it was getting there at MK right after wishes, and they got on along with their husband and 6 teenage or early 20 year olds. There were no seats left basically after you fold 3 up for the ECV itself, then take 6 seats for the kids, one for the husband and one for the ECV driver.

Oh and I agree with someone from earlier about the cell phones. I could care less if you're on them in the parks, or even in line, but on a ride/attraction shut the hell up. I had Carousel of Progress ruined for me twice last trip by idiots on phones.

You know what, I am sure I encountered a few rude people on our last trip, and I am sure there will be a few this next time. But in all honesty, did any of that rude behavior ruin my trip? Two things that stick out in my mind, I actually laugh about now, because some people are so ignorant and I can't control that! If THEY want to spend their time nitpicking at everyone and everything then I just have to assume they are miserable in and outside of WDW and I am better for not knowing them anyway!

To the person who said if she is pushing a stroller with kids in it she has the right of way. I disagree. Sorry, you and your family are no more important than anyone else in the park. I will usually yield to strollers because some of them are a mess to push around, but I do that because I WANT to, not because I HAVE to. If anything I have found strollers tend to block up the flow of traffic more than anything else. So in that case, you should give the right of way to pedestrians.! Just my opinion.

And to the person who said to put the cell down. Sorry, not going to happen. Not until my husband is home safe and sound! If he calls, I am answering it. Period. I don't make it a habit to talk on my phone my entire vacation, but this is one situation I will not bend on!

There's a lot of little things that annoy me at the time but it never lasts long. But one thing that does really bother me is people on these boards complaining about people not giving up their seat on the bus. If you get to the door of the bus and it's standing room only just don't get on. You'll be first in line for the next bus and there'll be no problem getting a seat. I've done this many times rather than stand up on the bus. Now the standing in line doesn't bother me but standing on a moving bus does. So just wait a couple of minutes for the next bus.

Allie, I appreciate your opinion, but believe me, I dont spend my vacation looking for things to get annoyed about, and even if I did, its MY vacation and can do with it as I please.

With that being said, again, I am not trying to judge anyone. Far from it. Its just an opinion and my take on a topic.

Furthermore, this is a message board, and not every topic is going to be always positive upbeat, and fluffy. Sometimes, things are put on there to spark interest. If you dont like the topc, don't post.

And you shouldn't!! Here's praying that he makes it home safe and sound SOON!!!

I am surprised (OK maybe not) at what people get upset about.

How does our having an empty stroller bother anyone? My kids really don't need one anymore but my mom (age 72) likes to have to have it to use as a walker, and we put our stuff in it. We try to be careful but it you can't help accidently bumping into someone when they suddenly stop walking right in front of you. Its a lot better than getting my non-driving mother an ECV and let her drive into them instead.

I think this thread is a riot !
popcorn::
cant believe its up to 6 pages

I hate when people cut
or one person is in line and 30 people join them
smokers smoking in the non smoking areas

There's really not much that bothers me at WDW. Perhaps that's because these days I'm usually enjoying a solo trip and am able to get around many of the things I see posted on here.

I do sometimes wonder why people in line for the ordering/paying/cash register CM's spot where you order your food, do not bother to look at the posted menu BEFORE they get to the CM, and instead hold everyone up while they debate what to order.

I don't get mad tho ... I just have to laugh at the sillyness of it. I mean, how dumb can you be? :rotfl:

Enjoy.

When I'm at WDW I get annoyed and aggravated by people who get annoyed and aggravated in WDW.

A lot of people will disagree but for me its the opening ceremony.

I hate when people talk the whole time thur a show or on a ride - have some respect - i am here to see the show not listen to you talk the whole time.
