I'm going in nov w/ dmil and dfil.. we want connecting room, didn't pay for preferred. we had preferred last time we stayed in the the 60's bldg. what do you suggest 50's, 60's or 70's.. my in'laws have never been to disney before and I'm afraid of all the walking.. any suggestions??:confused3

Thanks Willow 16 for answers, looks like pool will be plenty deep enough for my 9 year old (he's way tall though!) I had horror visions of it only coming up to his waist.

Anyone else any info on why the Unoff Guide says buses from Pop to waterparks (BB &TL) take 40 mins or longer?:confused3

And anyone tried to walk to Caribbean Beach Resort from Pop? It looks verrry close on Google Earth.

Thanks everyone.

Iknow they look close but it's set up so that it's almost impossible to walk to. very busy highway to cross.

Depending what time you get in, your room might be ready. We took the train and got to Pop by about 12:00. Our room wasn't ready but they were really nice and found us a room because we really needed showers before we went to the park. We had a 2:10 reservation at The Crystal Palace and we actually made it with checking in, showers and the bus.

We went as a grand gathering last year at pop with 13 people and 3 rooms. We were in standard and in the 50's, we just asking for the first floor and it was great! All next door to one another one even connecting. If you are on the dinning plan or plan sit down resturants, get reservations early to accomidate large parties!!! :grouphug:

It didn't take us quite that long on our last visit. One thing that does add a bit more time is sometimes the bus makes other stops. Don't worry about it though as the time goes by quickly as there's always something to see and people to talk to. :goodvibes

Hi did you take the auto train or a regular train? We taking the Auto train next Friday. If it was the auto train how was it?

Have a great day!

Hi, we'll be staying at POP in September. I need to keep a single dose of medication refrigerated from our arrival on the 11th until the 16th. What are my options? I saw that a fridge is free for medical purposes in the first page FAQ's, but not sure how to reserve it? Or can Bell Services just keep the med for me? It will take up very little space.

Thanks this thread is very helpful.:yay:

Just so you know we are having get togethers at Pop on the 13th at the Hippy Dippy Pool Bar and on the 15th we are having a Illumanations Dessert Part @ Epcot @8:30 cost is (as of right now) 35/36pp w/10 deposit pp. Hope to see you there.

Nancy Ann

It was just the regular train. We would have had to drive at least 5 hours to get the auto train and we didn't need a car once we got there.

The train was great! I'm sure you'll have fun. We didn't get a sleeper so it wasn't the most comfortable sleeping but we would do it again. Do you have a portable DVD player? That was invaluable for the kids. The train down didn't have outlets at every seat (it was an older car) so we had to charge it in the cafe car but the train back did have them at every seat so it was easier.

I'm sorry if this was answered, I looked through a lot of this. I'm a diet coke/diet pepsi (basically diet all pop lol) fanatic. We don't know where we're staying inside pop yet until we get there. I will NEED to get my last cup of diet pop before it closes, after looking at the map, I have to ask-- where exactly is the food court located for people to refill their mug? The way our luck runs we'll be the furthest away & my friends & I can't afford to pay any more for a prefered room. What's the farest amount of time the food court could be away from us? :confused3

The food court is in Clasasic Hall. the main central building. Deoending on how fast yo uwalk, it willl be nomr more than 5-10 minutes away from anyroom. their is also veding machines in each building.

What is an auto train?

I don't think there is a path between the two resorts, so it would be about impossible to walk to each others

I think the time that gives you is including the wait for the bus time too. There is a link a few pages back I beleive that gives you times and modes of transportaiton to and from everything. I don't have time now, but I'll look for it later if you can't find it.

The auto train runs from Lorton VA to Sanford Fla thats about 45minutes from Disney. You put your car on the train and take it with you.

Keep in mind, too, that if you're room isn't ready, it may be ready earlier than they say.

When we were there in Oct., they told us it would be 2 hours. It was around lunchtime, and the kids couldn't wait until we got to MK to eat. So we grabbed lunch at the food court, and decided to give the number they gave us to check on our room a try. Lo and behold, our room was ready, and our luggage arrived before we'd even finished freshening up!

We just got back last night. We arrived there last Wednesday around 9:30am, checked in, and our room was ready right there. We had requested a king bed, but I had to remind them. So they switched us to a king and we were able to go straight to the room!
