I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Does Anyone still have the Red Aviator (barclay). Are you getting the annual fee refunded since they
are discontinuing the card? Or closing it and letting it convert to Citi? thank you
Still thinking about the rollover.... my year resets right around the 1st- I'm considering app'ing for a Citi AA cc before canceling this one...thoughts? or better to wait and see what comes down the pike?

I'll try Ocean Prime. We didn't care for Blackbird and the one in North Naples doesn't look like something we'd enjoy. So silly the list is so limited to begin with. Amex made their dining credit so easy to use!
I stayed at the Athens Capital Center Hotel and would highly recommend it. It is directly across the street from the Grand Bretagne and a few mins walk from the Syntagma Square metro station. Walking distance to the main shopping street and all kinds of excellent restaurants. If / when I go back to Athens I would def stay there.

Room service breakfast (included) -- waaaay more food than I could ever eat (I took some of the pastries on my day trip to Delphi and shared with a new friend that I made who didn't have time to eat before she left her hotel)

Thank you!!!

Atmos Rewards questions. I have not done a ton of research here so please be patient. DH & I have Alaska accounts, both with around 10k points. Do these automatically merge into Atmos? If I get an Atmos card, will the rewards combine with current Alaska points? Can we transfer points between us?

If you log in to your Alaska account, you should see that it's Atmos already. They used the same number. New points earned goes into the same account.

You can share points if you have the Atmos Summit or a Hawaiian card.

A WWYD. Would you take a 75 minute connection in SEA or a 3 hour one coming back from Asia? Will be in Delta One, so can visit the Delta One Lounge. It looks pretty nice.

On one ticket, so not worried about catching the flight since they'd just put us on the next one. But torn if I'd rather get home earlier or take our time and visit the lounge.

What time of year and time of day?

So if DH applies for the Summit, and I put his Alaska number, it should go into the same account? If I want to transfers points to him (he’d have a card, I wouldn’t) I’ll have to pay but he could transfer points to me?

June, afternoon, mid-week.

Given the d1, ge and precheck, I'd go for the 75. Even if you have to drop checked bags I'd imagine with the d1 priority line it shouldn't take too long.

DL is generally good about getting bags out within the 20 min guarantee here(I think that's still a thing).

Unless they start using the A gates for more flights, you'd have to do the 3 hr for the d1 lounge. It's a trek to get to. You may have time for the reg dl lounge, it's a much better location for most of their gates.

They way I read and understand it is the Summit card holder can invite a non cad holder to a points sharing network (limit 10). Those in the network can transfer points fee free to the card holder. You would want any awards to be booked by the card holder so you get the 25,000 off an award flight when booking 2 flights.

Thanks! Good to know that the D1 lounge isn't that convenient.

Seen good things on reddit about it but also very few that are flying out of a gate near it. Some have said they'll start using the A gates for intl departures but to do that they'd have to move the plane from S to A during the turn and that doesn't make sense to me.

I think the S gates are getting redone but nothing starts until after the world cup. They can only do intl arrivals to S due to access to customs.

Would be nice if the club and the BA (I think it's them, I had access with JAL biz) get redone when they do the S gates. Those two clubs are kind of small and sad but I guess they don't really need to be bigger given the number they serve.

You might want to double check that his Atmos number is his Alaska number, just in case of any glitch.

You'll be able to transfer your points to your DH. Once he has the Summit, he'll need to invite you to his points sharing network. After you accept that, you can initiate a transfer to him from your account. It can go both ways, but the person giving the points needs to do it from their account. It's not under "Buy, share, or gift points", but under Rewards, which is kind of confusing.

Any data points for Amex charges on 12/31… will they count towards 2025 or 2026 spend?
I plan on paying our property tax on 12/31. Only MSR we’re working on is the Delta. Would like the spend to count towards the Hilton Surpass 2026 FNC.

My annual fee just renewed. I called and asked for it to be waived. ( I read some folds on Reddit had).
I was told they will refund it but next year. Color me skeptical.:scratchin

Here's an article about FHR charges on 12/31. Link Not the same, but I think the principle is the same that Amex will use the transaction date. Assuming your county charges your card right away (mine does), what you're thinking probably won't work.

A long shot, but if your county takes Paypal and the charge is under $1500, you could potentially use Pay in 4. Pay the initial installment with the Delta, then the rest 3 next year with the Surpass.

Approved for the Atmos card! We are doing Hawaii in June and have a ton of Hawaiin Airlines flights (now Alaska I guess) so I really wanted free checked bags. Also finally got an upgrade offer for my basic Hilton (Ive had all the flavors, I just was waiting for them to offer points to upgrade again)

You have to pay for the ticket with the AS card to get free bags. Even if it's just the taxes for an award flight.
