Cape May Cafe dinner

So if you have a dining plan, you still have to pay extra?
Correct. The crab legs are an enhancement/up charge.

For anyone who has gotten them recently at Cape May...how was the quality? I'm more of a lobster guy so I've done that enhancement at a few places on property and have been happy with the quality.

Yes, we have been going to Cape May "forever" also, but in all fairness to them, they did lower the price after excluding crab legs in the AYCE. Other than that, I do not recall last year paying extra for any food item - did I miss something?

They’ve gotten rid of scallops, most fresh seafood, etc. Been largely fried foods for many years.

CMC was the first place I tried scallops, ahi tuna, and tons of other seafood, but all were made up charges and the end product looked like the seafood buffet at Big Boy.

We haven't eaten there since pre-covid and back then dh loved it. I'm not much into seafood; the smell kind of gags me but there's enough other things there to eat that I'd do it for him.

We're considering a long weekend quickie visit to ride Aerosmith a few more times before it closes. I was torn between BC and WL for various reasons but I know dh would be annoyed at the seafood upcharge at CMC. There goes 1 point for staying at BC.

When we dined there they still had steamed shrimp and mussels.

This restaurant always gives me a chuckle. Disney's webpage for the restaurant describes it as "New England-inspired venue for buffet meals," but isn't Cape May in New Jersey??

I see the menu lists "fried seafood selections." What are the offerings?

Cape May is definitely in NJ. I’ve stayed there. Very nice but not in New England.
NJ is a Mid-Atlantic state.

We ate at Beaches and Cream a few weeks ago and walked through Cape May and it really didn’t look so great. We ate there years ago and it was ok… nothing something we said that we have to come back to.
