Oh Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed your stay here. I am jealous of anyone within a 8 hour drive to Disney World :rotfl2::rotfl2:

I wish we could go every year and we probably could but I am spoiled by the 16 night trips that I refuse to go for a shorter period....:rolleyes1

:goodvibesHi POP experts! We have chosen to stay at POP for FD. Wondering if they have elevators to different room floors, or is it steps? We may have a stroller and would ask for lower floor if there are no elevators. Also, do they have hourly fun games hosted by the lifeguards for the kids? Also, what pool is close to the 70's Big Wheel Bldg. Thanks for the replies, we can't wait to experience POP!!!

There are both elevators and stairs.

The Big Wheel building is directly between the computer pool and the hippy dippy pool.

The elevators are in the middle of each T-shaped building behind that building's large icon. So if you're in the Big Wheel building, the elevators are behind the actual Big Wheel. We found the elevators to work well last August--nice and fast.

The main pool is the Hippie Dippy pool. I can't say whether the lifeguards play games there because we used the pool only during off hours. I can say that they toss a lot of beach balls into the water that kids use to play their own volleyball games.

Have a great trip. :tinker:

Here is sort of a lame post, Im thinking of taking an instant hot water machine that I saw at Target for 14 so I can make coffee. Anyone done anything like that?? I cant really find a small coffee maker and even if I could the glass carafe probably could break. The instant hot water machine looks small, and you insert a mug underneath to get the water. Im thinking I could make coffee or tea or even oatmeal this way. We will only be there 3 nights, so maybe I shouldnt worry about it.What do you think????

If it saves you a meal a day times three days of breakfasts, go for it. Especially if you have more than one person going. And then you can bring it back next time you go!

I brought a really small coffee maker a couple of years ago. It was a girls only trip, so DH wasn't there to go fill my refillable mug that time. I didn't want to have to go fill it myself every morning while trying to get ready. I found a small coffee maker that brews right into a travel mug, so I didn't need to worry about the glass carafe breaking. It cost about $10 at CVS.

I think if it saves you time going to the food court each day and $$, then go ahead and bring it!

They have those at Target too, and on Amazon.

We've have one of these B&D Brew 'N Go coffee makers for years. It works great. Also used it to make hot water for instant oatmeal.

My sister just got one from Amazon as well.

We had a group of 12 so we were also able to buy a box of 1/2 & 1/2 creamers that don't require refrigeration at one of the office supply stores.

That made it quite convenient not having to run to the food court in the AM.

Thanks, yeah its going to be a girls trip with me and my sis - she is a tea drinker :scared1:!

Didn't want to spend too much, since I don't think I will use after this trip. I know coffee isn't expensive at WDW, but I need real coffee, not nescrappe

Great Idea, I'm going to see if I can't find those in a smaller quantity. Did I mention I;m going to bring all this in my carry on bag???

We are booked at POP for free dining from Sept. 19-28th!!! I can't wait. It will be our first value stay but I know we are going to love it. I am disappointed in the frozen coke machine being gone. It seemed like it would have been a nice perk.:guilty:

We're there the 20th - the 29th of Sept. See you there! [We'll be the four rooms of 4 adults, and 9 kids - 7 of them mine!]
:cheer2: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

why don't you go to the budget board and get on the coffee pot swap for pop:confused3

Is it true the frozen coke machines have been removed from the Pop? And if so, is this permanent?

My husband called the Pop. The frozen coke machines are still there. Color me relieved. :lovestruc

Hold on there!!!!! When you called Pop, you actually get the "call center" for Pop. I believe that same call center also handle calls for other resorts as well. So unless the CM you spoke to was JUST at the Pop Food Court and saw the frozen cokes, I wouldn't get too excited.

Just keepin' it real :lmao:

So, the only thing available for Pop for our dates was a preferred room. We'll have a car so we're not worried about being close to a bus stop.

Any suggestions for a quiet room for adults, should we ask for a top floor, in a particular building?

TIA!
